WM6.5 HD2 email headers - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I have searched on the forum and could find my answer. I have an HD2 and a gmail account.
I have setup to download the emails however it only downloads the headers.
On previous versions of WM there was a final option on emails with said
Choose to download either the entire message or just the message header from the dropdown menu.
If downloading message headers, specify an amount of the message body to also download (in KB).
This version doesn't have this that I can find.
Any way around this as it is very annoying having to click each time.
Also is there any way to allow it to download internet pictures on emails?
Cheers

Is there a way to view recieved date and time for sms mms and emails

is there a way to have the vox display the date and time messages were received? Either a setting on the phone or a programme I can install?
Cheers S
A friend of mine who used to have a SE phone asked me the same question.
Unfortunately couldn't find an answer. Doesn't seem to be a built in functionality. I found also references in forums with people asking how this could be done (by developing an addin)... Guess someone willing to develop it has some future ahead
Ka.
Thanks for the reply. It just seems like such a basic thing i don't understand why MS would leave it out.

While in messages applications. Go to options. There should be something to check if you want to see the date and time of message arrivals. If that doesnt work, try the other way: when you read the specific message, click up on joystick one or two times. There should be all necessary info.
Try FlexMail 2007 from WebIS (www.webis.net). It isn't that cheap, at $30, but it is much better than the supplied applications. I was introduced to it because I found that deleting on the Vox also deletes on my IMAP server even when it shouldn't!
Hope this helps!
Select Text Messages or an e-mail account. Go to Menu->Tools->Options->Display and Check Show date and time in the message list
The option _is_ there.
Open an SMS message and press on the UP button.
I was talking about "Received by the recipient", actually the delivered timestamp.
Meaning:
I send a message, I have the delivered notification. Ok. Now I would like being able to open the Sent message and see on it when the recipient has received it or still pending delivery. I can do it checking everytime if I have a Delivered note but would be better having everything at the same place.
Ka.
what about call history, any ideas?
activate the delivery report.
When you recieve it, open it and go up with with you jojstick to se the time. the sent time of the report is the recieving time of the sms at the reciepent.

Notifications for emails in folders other than the inbox.

I've been looking around for some type of software (since WM5 and WM6 don't seem to have the ability built in) that will let me know when I've gotten an email in a folder other than my inbox.
All of the people in my office have separate folders, and all of their email is sorted into their respective boxes automatically in a server-side rule. I'd always have to manually check those folders in windows mobile (I've got an 8125 running XDA Mobile 6 r4) every time I looked at my phone.
While searching around I found a software package called watchflag (www.watchflag.com or m.watchflag.com for the direct download). It didn't have this option at first, but I asked their support about it and they actually wrote it into the code! It'll play different notifications depending on who it's from or what the subject line is, and it checks all folders, including subfolders (just be sure to follow all of their directions!). So if you've been looking for something to alert you on new email in subfolders (the boss [or the wife] emailing you and you have a separate folder for them), this software will work great.
Just wanted to spread the word as I looked high and low and haven't found anything else that does this out there!
thanks for the post, nice ap. probably shouldnt put your email in plain site like that[username]
I've been waiting a long time for this! Thanks!
Looks interesting. I'm looking for something subtley different - I use FlexMail to access a private IMAP account and I'd love to find something which hooks the standard notification process, so, for instance, my HTC Home new mail count will increment for mail received in Flexmail/IMAP. (At the moment I have Outlook mirroring the IMAP account and checking for mail every 5 minutes to flag new arrivals, but that's wasteful of resources...)
Does anyone know of something that allows you to hook the standard notification procedures for custom events?

"Click to view message" - how to solve this?

I have TPro running Romeos 1.51. For my corporate email (which comes to Tpro via BBConnect), I get "Click here to view message" in the preview on TF3D. But all other accounts like hotmail, gmail shows the preview properly. I dont believe it is html vs text formats that are causing this. Any idea what is causing this???? Any settings to tweak????
Thanks
Amazing - no replies after 35 views. I've seen this forum extraordinarily resourceful and there is answer for almost every question. may be not my lucky day!!!
Have to made sure that in the e-mail settings within activesync you have it set to download the complete message?
i am not using activesync. i am using blackberry app (bbconnect) for my corporate emails.

[Q] No "read" mails in Android

All, I dont see my read emails but only unread emails are available.
I just bought an Acer A500 with 3.1 and got also a Nexus S with 2.3 and both have the same issue.
I looked everywhere for the option to have both meaning read and unread mails but only unread is download.
I am using a standard gmail account and all get download properly on my iPhone and also available directly on gmail.com .
Is there a trick to get read emails ?
Tks in advance for your answer/support.
Sam
There should be an option where you can choose what mails to download/keep in your local inbox. Unfortunatly my droid is in the rooting process (sort of taking a while) so I can't check it out, but there is an option.
Search the Optionsmenu for something download mails and check download all...
Ah damn, can't remember where

stock email app download size limit

hi!
I just noticed that i am not allowed to download larg email attachments (4mb) when online with bluetooth thetering. is there.an option the disable this "feature"?
thx
matti
To my knowledge, there is no way to do this unless you find the apk, modify it somehow, then install it over the previous version. Could you try another email client? unless it is the app that is giving the message, some email providers do not allow you to download an attachment over a certain limit, although they are usually ~25MB
