PDA net
is the only real solution if you haven't rooted your phone, but is a bit fiddly to get working as you need a client on the actual computer.
you'd be better off gaining root access and then installing Wireless Tether for Root users. just sets your phone up as a wireless access point and works like a charm.

As far as I know there is a free version, which allows only http access, and the paid with full net.

You can - but if you get busted you might lose your job.. for facebook.. if that's the risk you wanna take, the google for http tunneling.
Basically the protocolls get wrapped and pushed via http port, on a server they get translated and routed, eg. 21 for ftp, 22 ssh and so on...
Here a few keywords to get you started:
- HTTP tunnel
- ICMP tunnel
- Pseudo-wire
- Tunnel broker
- VPN
Hope this helps, as google can give you the results, I will not write a guide since there is tons of them out there.
many thanks. you give me a very good option for begin....i want to dig..that i like to learn..
need a little more information. Are you saying that you plugged in a wireless access point to give internet access to your mobile devices, which has now stopped?
OR
The access point still works, but when you use a Windows Mobile it fails as opposed to when you use a Android Mobile which works?

The best is if you install your own "server" tunnel, since the public tunnels usually are very slow.
If you have a good hosting, such as root or at least shell access, the chances are good to run your own server, this is also better for your security and privacy
i was test to have access from linux.but i cant....i dont know why.at xperia mini i steel have access... to make tunnel i need to make server at home and forward ports from there?
p2p connection

PDA Net was not made to do this so of course it won't work. PDA Net was made to do the opposite which is to share your phone's internet with a PC. Also there are ways to do reverse tethering (Internet from PC to Android) but the only place which has an app (what I know of) requires you to register to be able to download it. Also their are certain scripts and commands through adb which you can run but they require a whole lot of work and there is like a 50% chance that they will work (some people say it works, some say it doesn't.
thanks for answer

Since you have an HTC Desire HD, then you could use the Internet Passthrough mode to do it - see here: http://blog.brightpointuk.co.uk/using-internet-passthrough-mode-htc-desire-z-and-desire-hd. If it doesn't work (but it should), then you could try this: http://blog.mycila.com/2010/06/reverse-usb-tethering-with-android-22.html. Hope it works for you.

[Q] Anyone have a good app for bluetooth tethering?

I'm looking for a phone to replace my old T-Mobile Touch Pro 2. As clunky as old WM is, the wireless options are awesome. I currently use BT networking to share an internet connection with my laptop when on the road. Now I want to switch to using a credit card processing company that allows me to use a swipe tool that connects to an Android phone - not available for Windows Mobile. This is the perfect opportunity to get a Sensation but I'm concerned about not being able to tether as easily (and free of charge) with the Sensation as it was with my TP2. I know I can do wifi sharing but not sure how easy that is to use and if it's free or not. Someone please shed some light on this for me. What is your experience with tethering/internet sharing?

Most likely because the KF doesn't support AdHoc WiFi connections.
Like Nandorian said, use something like DropBox.
There are many other alternatives.

Yes it does, I'm using Ad-hoc wi/fi switcher and can switch back and forth between the two. I use it to connect to my HTC Hero.
Not by default it doesn't.... The OP didn't provide much info about what he has done, but a good guess is that he isn't using that and by default the KF doesn't support AdHoc WiFi connections.

Doesn't matter who's fault it is, It supports it or I wouldn't be able to switch from infrastructure mode to ad-hoc mode. Does require root to do this..

I just hacked the radio in my wife's X2 to enable the hotspot while bypassing Verizon... now it throws out infrastructure wifi.

Can I ask you to share brief tutorial for noobs how to do that. I wish to send files from Galaxy S2 to Kindle. Without internet access. Idea is to use my S2 as ext storage
i have a KF and a galaxy s. i use dropbox too but it's not feasible for large files. i use swiftp for all my devices. really simple and easy. my galaxy is fully modded with a ROM, but i didn't want to mess with the KF too much so it's not rooted just sideloaded a few apps.
AirDroid is great for interfacing Mobile>PC>Mobile, which I tend to like for backup/checksum options. It's not a direct ICU connection, though; which sounds like what you're looking for.

It's quite close to my needs. But, as far as I undestand Airdroid work with PC, and I am looking to find a way to connect KF with phone via Wi-Fi, but don't using Internet (long flights, for example)
Anyway, thank you! Button pressed
Backatcha!
Thank you u all
Dropbox is a good choice, but only for small size file. Because it takes a long time for large size file!
you can use app "file expert" to share between two android devices by wifi. special, if your device have wifi hotspot, you can share without data internet.
i tested by LG P500 and my KF
I use WellFTP server from the marketplace. (Called WIFI Transport on icon but WellFTP server inside the application)
I run this on the Kindle. Then from the Phone I run ESFileExplorer and ftp to it to do bidirectional transfers. As long as they are on the same network (WIFI) this will work. I have not tried this on ADHOC, since I am running a stock non-root Kindle.
Get a nexus. It supports USB hosting. Lol
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
Use Tonido to share files between your kindle fire and Android phone
I'm stock, so not sure if this will work on rooted?
I found online a program called "Print to Kindle". I have it installed on my computer and when you go into the "print" option on anything, one of the options is print to kindle. I hit that and the next time I turn on my Fire, it downloads into the documents and I have it.
It's pretty cool and easier than emailing it to your kindle email.
But yes, dropbox, sugarsync, or box work good too!

Remote Desktop app recommendation?

Hey guys, I'm looking for recommendations for a remote desktop app to interact with a windows 7 computer, currently I use realvnc or the MS rdp app however what I need is something that will allow me to go full screen and use finger clicks direct on the screen not a virtual mouse like the two apps I currently use.
Basically I have a piece of touch ready software and I want to use it off my galaxy tablet.
Heres what I need:
It must do fullscreen
It must be direct touch
and finally it must work without an internet connection
Thanks in advance
Tim
Teamviewer?
It is still not direct touch, but I find it much easier to use than realvnc in those regards. I use it on a tablet with a bluetooth keyboard and it's fantastic
Yeah I actually use that already on my computer however it needs to be direct touch, I also forgot to say that it needs to work on a LAN without an internet connection!
A friend at work says he used to use the bVNC app. It looks like it'll connect to your already setup realvnc server, and it was the only one he found that the touch input seemed to make sense. He said he switched to VLC players built in video streaming for what he was using it for though.
i m using only teamviewer and rdp
