Important notes:
There are a total of 292 wallpapers split into three zip files. See below for download links and preview thumbnails and check post 2 for today screen examples based a few of those wallpapers.
The attached wallpapers are 800x400 HD wallpapers (full screen) instead of the and 696x400 versions (fullscreen minus taskbar and softkey bar). Therefore they are most useful when used in combination with HDWall or Max TF3D or other utilities that allow the use of full screen wallpapers by enabling transparent or aero style taskbar and softkey bars. For guidance on how to enable full transparency including taskbar and softkey bar, please check the following threads:

I anyone wants me to add their favourites to the thread, please PM me your wallpapers and I will create a best off with those. I think it makes sense to have a centralized source for wallpapers rather than having to look through hundreds of pages in various threads.
I already have a few third party ones (not own creations) that I am considering adding into a third archive file. but in order to minimize work I will wait until I have at least a further 50 to post.

Your thanks are much appreciated. It is such a relief to have everything out and posted. You can imagine how I was feeling when I started this project.
Downloading entire desktop wallpaper web sites with Metaproducts Offline Explorer really sped up the work, but the editing of so many png files...

It works for me. You probably tried downloading during peak time. Wait until the bandwith tracking has been reset.

Put them anywhere you like, then select it in the settings tab. You will find it opens the album, then select the picture.

this is my very first contribution to this site. I've never posted anywhere here so I though it's time to start now.
So I have 2 weeks off from now and I am already bored. And since I just flashed a new ROM on my HTC HD2 I thought about making a theme for it featuring my favorite Touhou (a shooting game) character Reiuji Utsuho.
I am planning to change/make

Animated Bootscreen
Welcome Screen
Wallpaper
Icons (maybe)
Bootsound
Analogclock (for use with Cookies Hometab)
Textmessage alert
Ringtone
Startbutton and taskbar
Since I am not allowed to link to stuff yet I just uploaded my current progress.
So far I made a animated bootscreen (which is too short so I'll redo it later)
and a Welcome screen.
I also made a test analog clock which works fine.
I just started making that theme today so I don't have any idea how to make a cab and stuff but I'll find that out soon enough...
I hope some people will like it to give me some motivation~
It's hard to time the bootscreen with the welcomescreen. The first ones I made were too short and I had a black screen between them. So I just made the bootscreen's last frame the welcomescreen.
Since I cannot upload a gif bigger than 800x480 nor can I link or embedd pictures from other sites yet, I just zipped and attached it to this post.
I hope that splashscreen is usable. I found that tool to convert it. But I need to find the tool to make it a flashable file.
The analog clock was just a test but it seems to work.
So I hope someone can tell me how to make a cab of all this when it's done~

After reading Electzik's fantastic tutorial on how to personalize the internet thumbnails, I decided to edit some of my own.
And then I got thinking...have you made any? Care to share?

This is cool. I once tried this myself, but the Internet Tab takes way to long to load (2-3 secs), even with defaul thumbs created by opera. So, I don't use it really.

its basically just crop and resize like you said, but!
i've found out that 1920x1080 (or same aspect) resolution pictures, work the best for two resons. First, they are HD and secondly, all you have to do is cut a little part of the image (top or bottom) and resize it to 1440x800 without destroying the "feel" of the image. Check the image below, "remove" the red line, and you'll get what i mean.

if you downloaded a set, send pm with name of the wallpaper and desired dimmensions - most of them are available in hq landscape as well
