Looking for a simple drawing notes application - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi.
I'm looking for a very simple (with small footprint) application to scribble small (immediate) notes with my finger (such as telephone numbers and names). WM Notes drawings come very crude and vsNotepad2 has smalish screen.
Please advice.
Thanks

Check if your question has been asked beforeSome questions just keep popping up over and over. Please use the 'search function' in the menu above each and every page in the forum. Try entering a few keywords to see if your question has been asked before. If it has, please read the topics and see if you can figure it our from there. You can also search inside a topic if it has too many comments by using the search function (CTRL+F) in your browser. If you don't find the answer, please post a comment to the relevant thread instead of starting a new one.

What do you mean by crude?
I installed this tweak and my finger drawings are great now It seems to straighten out and smooth the lines . I used the version without reduced sensitivity

Annotatable form needed

I am looking for a very specific app to assist me with interviews. What I need is an app that can open a Word or Excel style template page. The page will have a list of questions and the space to fill in answers just like any normal paper application form.
Name:.........................................................................
Address :.....................................................................
..................................................................................
..................................................................................
Tel:................................................
Etc.
Now this bit is easy I have seen many app's that can do this, the next is the difficult bit,. I need the app to allow me to use a stylus to handwrite the answers in the fields. It does not need to recognise what I have written just save the page as I have annotated it with the handwritten answers. I can then open the template again and conduct the next interview.
Is there such an app out there? If not would anyone be interested in creating one? If this is a new idea then whoever wants it can use it. Thanks all.
Sounds like a good idea that can easily be accomplished using the Google App Inventor.
If I have a few spare cycles I'll see if I can throw it together.
Nice idea, would be a handy little app for many i'm sure.
Would be nice for it to have a "done and save" button so it auto went to the next form, and have an edit mode to edit the forms themselves (making it applicable for any survey, data collect use).
I'll have a look at the app maker today and see if a noob like me could knock something up (allthough its probably best left to those with experience).
Definately a good idea though ^^
EDIT: Oeer, think i may need to readup on the Appmaker for a week before i start ...Spose have to start somewhere. Consider me outof the dev picture for a mo ...allthough need any art/buttons i can help anytime xD

[Completed] How to Install apk to a folder with maximum size constrictions?

Hi Everyone,
I'd like to install an apk to a folder on my SD which will limit the potential size that the apk will grow to. Any advice? Appreciated !
I first thought of creating a separate partition on the SDcard to install the apk to, but I'd like to do that without formatting (wiping the SDcard)?

Good luck
Thank you, I'm finding my way about the site.
Unrelated: I was in a website the other day and noticed they have some really nice layout buttons for responding. What do you think? (Screenshot attached).
I thought they'd look pretty nifty on XDA.

They look similar to the XDA buttons (I use the 2013 theme). Buttons are buttons to me, as long as they're in the right spot I'm happy.
What do you use the 2013 theme for, do you have a website I can check out?
I just mention the design as I found the buttons on XDA a little confusing at first and some other members, well one, (in particular) said that I had quoted too long or something like that.
So I was just wondering about it and I noticed this little layout when I was on another website. I just thought I'd mention it. It looks quite nice and self explanatory. As a new member I found the respond buttons a little bit confusing. Would you be kind enough to explain to me what the button that looks like a one of a pair of speech marks is for exactly (I say one of a pair, as in the UK we use double quotation marks). When one uses the reply button and the auto quote goes into the field, do you then have to then just delete that each time, or is there a way around that?
I'm just wondering.
I was also wondering, you might be able to give me some advice on the best way to respond on these forums. Is there an app that you can suggest that would be particularly good for responding on XDA and other forums in general?
I tried Tapatalk once before and found it glitchy, like it had its own agenda and wanted to wiz me around all over the net instead of being functional.

If you scroll down to the bottom of any page here you'll find a bar on the left that says "XDA 2015". If you click that there's a drop down menu that brings up all the themes you can use. I use the XDA 2013 beta because I think that has the cleanest layout.
The speech marks always refer to quoting a post which is what I just did now. You can edit what your quoting and delete parts out of it. Just play around with the editor and you'll get it. As for an app, try XDA labs. You can click the banner in my signature to go to that thread.
Great, Thank you Art Vanderlay. Got it!

I've had a look in the "groups" section. There doesn't appear to be all that much activity in there (at least in the groups I looked at).
Can you suggest a good group, or place (area) for hanging out and perhaps learning a bit more about Android, app making and what's going on @ the scene as a whole?

Is there an app for this?

Hi guys
So there is this specific thing I need to accomplish. I searched and searched and couldn't find an app for it. Maybe I'm not phrasing it well in my searches? If someone can help guide me in the right direction that would be appreciated...
I need an app to help generate paragraphs from a form. For example I want to app to start with a form with the following drop down lists:
"Male" and "Female"
"Tall" and "Short"
Age ranging from "1" to "100"
Then after filling out the drop down boxes the app can generate a paragraph from a pre-set text eventually saying "A male who is 35 years old who is short" based on my selection.
Thanks in advance and have a great day!
Alternatives that I can think of:
Do this with Excel/Google Sheets
Create HTML page and open it in browser
Create flow with Automate

App Suggestion APP SUGGESTIONS (Single Thread Rollup)

I would like there to be an ultra-bright white theme. Here is an example: URL.
Please make it happen!
No forum link, while viewing a threadCurrently, there is no way to tell which forum a thread is in while viewing it.
It would be very helpful to know which device or topic the thread is about.
Many OP's do not mention this in the thread,
because it is assumed the reader will know which forum the thread is in.
Option to Filter Device forum by Thread PrefixThere is no way to filter a forum by Thread Prefix in the app

At the top of the page, instead of "viewing Thread", the thread title should be displayed so readers know what thread they are on without having to scroll to top.
Posts in this threads don't have individual upvote buttons, should we make separate suggestions threads so people can up/downvote them, or continue posting and use likes as upvotes?
Page naviagtion at the top of a threadIn the app and on mobile browser in portrait mode, there is no page navigation on the top of a thread being viewed. Only at the bottom.
I would like to have it also at the top of a thread, like on PC and mobile browser in landscape mode.
Initially posted in wrong thread. One component pertains to previous request for navigation buttons up top.
For threads in the new ? (voting) category where the entire OP is shown at the top of every page
e.g. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mixplorer-q-a-and-faq-user-manual.3308582/
- collapse that post on all pages except first page.
- put page number and navigation buttons above it so the are in approximately the same place for all threads.
- exempt the first page of the thread from this because it's not needed and at present only serves to place page #s and navigation buttons below first post.
I realize that I could request re-categorization of the thread in question and I will do that but I found this disruptive enough to interacting with the thread that I wanted to report it before I moved on. Thanks.

What do you mean? There is indeed pagination navigation on the top and bottom of long threads.

This isn't possible. The OP is very intentionally placed at the top of each page in the case of using a Question or Suggestion thread-type. I'll talk to our app developers to see if there's anything we can do, but it's a core XenForo thing.

You can just make a new thread in https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/xda-app-bugs-and-requests.12203/ each with its own issue. Then voting will be enabled on that top post.

Thanks for the explanation. It's no problem moving the thread to another category if I'm permitted to do so (and I am working on that on another track). I understand why this is done but wonder if it's original conception may have been based on shorter individual original posts rather than what many threads including mine have which are several long opening posts. I'm not making a crusade of this of my own because I can move the thread but regarding member interaction with the forms in general, as presently implemented this may cause people to ignore and bypass the original posts faster and more frequently than they already do. As to following requests in posts and researching answers it's extraordinarily disruptive. That's my two cents, and now moving on to something that might actually be an issue as opposed to a design choice:
As to the page numbers being below the persistent first post, I'm wondering if this is part of the missing navigation and page number buttons reported by others which I've experienced in that context as well. Although it's understandable why an attempt is made to put the whole first post at the top of every page the missing navigation buttons and page numbers deprive people of both the knowledge about where they are in the thread and the ability to navigate around - as they do in the other reported cases.
Thanks again.
Ok, this is something we need to change. Pagination is super important and it should be top and bottom.

Indeed the intended use is for when there are shorter posts, not multiples from the OP. That's why we're not going to enable it in most other forums since OPs like the flexibility and control to make the layout how they want.

Sure, it's easy:
1- Just open a thread with the xda app, (the thread must contain several pages to be able to proceed with the next step) - > You will see the "new special layout" (I DON'T mean the thread preview):
2- Change page (use the Prev button for instance) - > you will see the standard web view layout:

[SOLVED. kind of] The forum's "Search this thread" function does not seem to work as intended.

Hi all,
I am facing the following phenomenon: I'm looking at some forum thread, say with 50 pages or so. At the top right I see a button labeled "Search this thread". Sounds like a useful tool to quickly search that thread for a certain term. I click that button, type in my search term(s) and underneath a drop down box with OTHER threads, which I do not want to search appears. Often times the thread I'm currently looking at doesn't even show up in that list underneath the search box.
So, what am I doing wrong? With the search feature as it is, I truly have a hard time finding things.
Thank you very much in advance. Driving me nuts.
@rogerwilco75 A similar question has been raised here. Maybe the replies there answer also your question?
@Oswald Boelcke Thank you for the link.
I was using a Chromium-based desktop browser and observed this somewhat inconsistent behavior on both Linux and Windows.
I will make a comparison using FF, and then both browsers with their extensions/addons enabled (most likely uMatrix and/or uBlock Origin to "interfere". DecentralEyes or HTTPSEverywhere not so much I guess), in a private window/tab and with more lowered "shields" settings in the respective browsers (cookies, trackers, DNT ...).
Back to the original question: once or twice clicking the "Search this thread" led to exactly that, then on some other occasions it didn't. I'll have to figure out that pattern.
Anyway, thanks once again for the link, since it let me get around using the ...drum roll... search function.
I guess this can be marked as "SOLVED... kind of", since I'll need to look into it deeper and get more data points/a clearer view.
