Are you seriously taking the piss!!! You have started a new thread just to tell people to go and find the original thread!!!!!!!
Mod please delete this thread, it is a waste of time and space.

Woohoo!!! Well I for one only browse the leo forums and I wouldnt have know, so thanks!!!

This is the best news for Windows mobile ever! Thanks for this post, I check the other forum but wasn't expecting already!

Holy Crap thanks info!#[email protected]!

at least say which topic !!!

I installed this onto my HD2, tried running a .bin file on my SD card but it loads the ps startup screen then it just exits the app. Could someone please let me know how to get this working?
The emulator is install on my device, I put the SCPH1001.BIN file in the BIOS directory and I'm trying to run the games off my SD card. I have to view all files when opening the games mind. I don't know why because they are .bin files.

What the hell is the special HD2 support the OP is mentioning?

not sure, its definetly hard to use on the HD2 the buttons are all tiny, and the screen taps on register if you swipe

Could someone please right up a step by step on how they got it to work on their phone. I'm having trouble starting it up.

Thanks for the tip on swiping accross the virtual buttons, I couldn't get it to work at first...
and I can't map hardware keys...

Okay, one of the developers of fpsece bought one week ago a htc leo, to fit fpsce to this device. Multitouch isn't implemented yet, but will come. G-Sensor support will come too.
Download the manual, read the manual and then plz ask specific questions. On my leo fpsece is running like hell.
Maybe i can help a little bit.

nice release, but the wiping issue makes it quite unusable. can't get any virtual analogsticks to run either, and the individual direction buttons are too unpractical without multitouch :-/

mind posting your fpse.ini?

I use the standard fpse.ini. In the fpsece forum there is a optimized fpse.ini, so fas as i understood. So no magic. Use the bios version 1001.
U get used to the buttons. U can also use the multikey option. Mutikey means, that if you press your screen two buttons will react.
Configuring the keys needs a litte bit of your time. So u can adjust what will happen if u touch your screen. Wether one touch one hit or one touch enables the key until another one is touched. Final fantasy 7 is a joy with the new emu

hmmm... i noticed pinch to zoom is on in FPSE and I do have BsB tweaks installed, but I can't find the FPSE name under the pinch to zoom list in order to disable it.
Could this be causing the swiping issue for virtual buttons? Can anyone that doesn't have pinch to zoom activated confirm this?

anybody has onscreen button reacting lag?

yep, just played a little more with it and the wiping issue and button lag is the same. takes ~1 second for any onscreen button to react.
tried deactivating the pinch to zoom through the blacklist key in the registry, but didn't work - its still active.
tried FF7, but cant get past the introscreen ... start button isn't working.

hope it will be fixed soon... and with multitouch, i will be so happy, that i will jump 3 meters high it is running great on HD2, just few more things

It is very very strange that we are having these issues, because the developer himself has one so surely he can't be having a fun time with it with all the issues?
The buttons actually seem to work as long as you set them to toggle on when you press.

Iris browser brings WebKit to Windows Mobile

The Windows Mobile browser market is getting awful crowded lately, and the latest entrant brings a little Apple to the mix -- the Iris browser, from Torch Mobile, is based on WebKit, the same KHTML-derived rendering engine in Safari. We won't know how it compares to the iPhone's Mobile Safari until we get a chance to play with it, of course, but with support for touch, rotation, tabbed browsing and multiple windows, a customizable interface, and Netscape plugins, it's safe to say that we'll be keeping an eye on this one. If you're feeling brave, the preview release is available just beyond the read link. - Engadet.com

Any ideas what gestures work with this?
I tried a couple of Iphone ones (double tap & moving fingers apart) but they don't seem to do much except activate the Cube on my Vario III. Will we have to disable the cube?
Can't find much help on Torchmobile's website, either.

that's multitouch (hardware). Kaiser doesn't have that.
you want to tell me the kaiser is unable to understand a dual touch command? (two motions on seperate parts of the screen) that has got to be software controlled not hardware no?
I installed it, and sure it renders nicely, but it's painfully slow.

I believe it's a limitation of the hardware. You know...one set of input signals at a time and all...

Thanks for all the helpful, positive replies everyone, but going back to my original question...
Does anyone know what gestures *do* work with this.
Have tried it - and it stinks. Slow - no fancy features. Nothing. Its very far from being any use. Maybe in a "real" and finished version. Even IE Mobile is better...
But good to share the link - we must try new stuff..
I used it for about 10 sec. bweeeeeeeh...

Not at all!
That's entirely hardware!
The kaiser (as with nearly every other touch screen of the sort) can only respond to one point of touch. The touch film acts as two giant resistors (x coordinate and y coordinate), and and as such, has a hardware limitation of only one input coordinate.
There is a relatively new technology called a capacitive touchscreen, which is used in the iphone and allows for multiple points of input.

Same here, really really slow for me. Had to soft reset on the first use and that was only in Google.
Uninstalling now...

very enlightening, i was under a similar impression... although, with the limit of how slow the touch renenderingas is... maybe we should focus on how to make this more responsive lol... (i know, we're missing drivers) and then from there... maybe instead of using two points of recognition... maybe we can do something similar to the picsel browser using a double tap... that was very effective.

nervous and excited

Getting ready to purchase 2 FUZE's. One for my wife and myself. She wants the iphone but I think the FUZE is the way to go for 2 big reasons. The FM radio is a must and the being able to watch the slingbox. I have read the wiki, noob rom basics, and this is what I am thinking.
I think upon reading i will need to
1. Hardspl the phone. (can you do this with a VISTA?)
2. Choose rom (NATF ver 2.3 seems the way to go)
a. I think his rom unlocks the fm radio no need for a cab file
b. I think it pulls up you tube from hidden att menu correct
3. Dont think I need to do anything to the radio as far as rom.
4. Patience...maybe play with phone for 2 months before trying to flash
a. Might be better off flashing from start since not used to phone any way
Anything else you think might be helpful before I purchase...
nervous and excited
Youre pretty much righton the money with everything... although speaking from personal experience dont waste any more than the first 10 mintues youd use to make sure the phone powers on with the stock ATT rom. Ive heard good things about NATFs rom...i personally use PROvens. just be sure of two things HARDSPL before flashing a GSM (not cdma) rom and also you will need to revert back to original spl and rom if you need warranty service
alright heres my 2 cents..i got mine last week and had a kaiser before and i have gone through stages of flash junkyness and from my experience with a wide variety of roms i went with Monx' RomeOS..he made pretty good kaiser roms (even tho i always stuck with L26's roms and Dutty before he left) so i noticed monx on here and his rom is off the hook..havent tried the other ones but by default ROMeOS is hooked up..you have alot of stuff in the system menus like forcehires (for forcing qvga to vga) you have alot of tweaks already in place but heres some really great programs that really open up the functionality of your fuze
and heres a link to a VERY thourough guide another xdaer set up with all the cabs he talks about
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=446306
and heres some info n my setup which ive acquired through the use of my tilt and now some changes with my fuze to form what ive found to to give the fuze the most capability
resco file explorer - really good touch optimized file explorer
quickmenu - cascading type of start menu that really rocks and has alot of extra functions
aebuttons - allows you to map applications to all buttons on the fuze (like camera for the ptt)and even multiple apps for each button (1 press, 2 press, 3 presses, press and hold)
gscroll - allows you to use the front button pad as a touch screen and act as a dpad or scroll and even use your gsensor as a dpad or scrolling and EVEN add more app shortcuts to double tapping the 4 butons on the front pad (because you are TAPPING not pressing it utlizes the touch screen not the hardware press)
gyrator - good autorotation app
htorch - use flash as a light
lumos - better than default auto backlight manager
wktask - give you tabs on your top bar like on your desktop windows task bar
thumbcal - finger friendly calender (very nice)
icontact - best finger friendly contact manager
xbar - when you hold down the action button it pops up in a little
window and acts a as a task manager and has menus as well whch you can
put shortcuts in too
heres a link to my cabs
http://www.4shared.com/file/74989849/d6a4d6e4/Fuze_Cabs.html
Thanks for the tips above. It is confusing reading all the different cabs out there because the descriptions given are vague at times to what they accomplish. I saw a you tube video of a FUZE and the sluggishnish seemed to be gone. I wondered how did they do that and then got to here. I am really looking for a rom that will decrease the sluggishness and remove the hard to read grey screen. Unlocking the radio feature was a bonus that pushed me to this phone.
Also for the cabs you listed above are they in one file for all the one listed above. When i hit the link I see on file only. I thought it would be one for each.
I think today is the day I order my FUZE!!!!
that file is a zip with most of those cabs.. if u get a chance tonight ill find and up all those cabs yo my 4shared page
Thanks Paz...got my fuze yesterday. I works and I have not done anything with it. I will try to hardspl it this weekend. just trying to decide on a rom. It is a must to include the radio but I need to make a cool theme and icon look for the wife's fuze. I dont think she is digging it. I think its the grey att stock rom background.
I would say the best way to spice up her phone is to get
S2U2 (Iphone like unlock slider on the dev and hack forum)
S2P
Rotating wallpaper (24 pictures that cycle every hour)
Galarm
Custom themes are located in a few places so look around (Diamond, Dev and hack, Raph)
I have to say, you should NOT get your wife any ppc phone unless she has some sort of knowledge about the WinMo OS. Otherwise you're going to have to be tech support for her from here on out like I was with the wife's 8525. I recently got her an iPhone 3G and, after the initial setup and basic instruction, she hasn't had to ask me a single question about how to make something work and has been able to download and install the apps she wants on her own.
You can say whatever you want about the iPhone, but it is the best phone for people who want a powerful device and have no clue what the hell they're doing. It really is the consummate idiot-proof device. (No offense to my wife if all the stars aligned and she finds this on google or something)
I agree

I agree with this statement. I started out with the HTC S710, S730, and when I got my Kaiser last year, I got my girlfriend an Iphone. Why? Because it's really idiot proof, so to say. It does not crash. Does not require any real setup. She has enjoyed it from day 1 and uses it everyday without resetting for weeks! Works great with the dock (it rings from the phone, not through the damn connected speakers.. even if they are off!)
With all that said, I will never purchase an Iphone for myself.

Hand Gestures \o/

I was on Twitter, and people were discussing some of the biggies of Windows Mobile 7, with some rumors and all.
One of the things mentioned was hand gestures. I was curious about this, and thought about my Fuze's ambient light sensor, so I thought I'd give this a shot
It's proof of concept, but what do you guys think?
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_JAFskYwME
Nice work!!!
Impressive! I see you're using only vertical gestures in the video but I suppose horizontal gestures would be possible too?
It looks like this is running on Windows Mobile 6.5 with TF3D2? I don't know if that effects things - I'm on stock WinMo 6.1 with TF3D1 but would be interested in trying out something like this. I'm a noob at serious development but I'd be happy to help test if at all needed.

Well, it's complicated. I'm going to work on designing some more gestures, but all the device can see is that SOMETHING went over it, it can't tell direction, size, etc. So really it's a pattern issue.

Windows Mobile 6.5.3, using HTC Sense. However, none of that really matters, because it is simply simulating key press's.
I'll work on it a bit today, and hopefully release a build with more than one gesture, for people to play with.
Cheers!
Here's a zip file with the EXE and DLL in it, copy them onto your device and run them.
It's glitchy, and BY NO MEANS ready for normal use, but it's a pretty good Proof of Concept.

I gave this a try but didn't have much success. A few times (maybe 4 or 5) it did move as though up/down were pressed but I wasn't able to find a way to duplicate it. I tried different lighting, speeds, and directions but to no effect. I've tinkered with the sensitivity too.
Is there any particular place to which these 2 files should be copied? I had them in a folder in \Program Files\ and also \Windows\
I do have the KforTouchPro_v1.0.0.3 driver installed so I can make the hard keys. (showthread.php?p=2791652). I don't know if this would make a difference.
My Touch Pro is a CDMA phone with Telus up in Canada, FYI.

As I said, it's highly proof of concept and extremely hard to use. I have a higher success rate, simply because I know all the timings.
Where you copy doesn't matter, I like mid-sensitivity and a wave that allows my arm to fully block out light for a one-half to one-fourth of a second.
I'll try some more with it then. Actually, it was a bit annoying because my mom saw me waving my hands over the phone and when she tried it responded right away! But she wasn't able to get it to work a second time...
As I understand, I just run gesture.exe then I can open another program (like TouchFlo or the program folder) and then your program will emulate key presses as it detects the correct shadow patterns.

Yes, that is how it works. On the screen (after opening Gesture.exe), there's some numbers, Cur and Avg. What range are they in? It might be too dark where you are for it to see a difference.

I've been a little preoccupied lately (school...), but so far it seems it's a bit too unpredictable. Not to mention it requires a lot of light.
I'll mess around with it and see if I can't get some better results.

Capture the Flag Lite

Found this this morning on the Google Market... yes I know......old habit.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwxLDEwNCwiYnJpZGdlLmNhcHR1cmUubGl0ZSJd
Have not tried it yet, doing so now, but wanted to share
EDIT: Games does use the hardware D-Pad and the X button to fire but the controls are slow and a little muddy.... still though if people want to give it a shot theres the link.

Anyone fixed multitouch issue while gaming?

As you all know, our XL has a small but quite annoying issue, is multitouch. Our phone doesn't have a sensitive touchscreen but still it supports multitouch. Test apps show no prob with multitouch but when you play a fps game, if you are moving and then shoot, you stop moving. I look for the solution for hours but no. I think this is just software issue, like the system doesn't "remember" the first touch but still recognize the second one, so multitouch is reset. There could be another thread like this but it might have been removed(our device is old now) so I want to make another one to remind you guys about the issue and maybe.... find a solution for this. Hope I dont break any rules And sorry for my english
