HELP! I flashed my treo 750 with wm 6.5 and now all I get is screen that says
"This concludes the beta test of the software release. Thank you very much for your time and effert in helping make this a great product for our customers."
"to obtain a newer release please revisit the website that you used to obtain your current beta release."
the problem is I found the software on this site and now my phone is basically disabled and I can't use it for anything at all can someone PLEASE help me either find an older copy of a ROM or the update so that I can use this phone again

I just ran into this problem too... now I don't know how to flash the phone up or down to any other version of the OS because it simply won't do anything except sit on that screen. No way to ActiveSync, no way to access any menu.
EDIT: nevermind, I figured out I could backtrack the time in a hard reset to get it to still have some functionality.

Hi guys,
When i run the upgrade utility program either for wm2005 or the upgrade off o2 website im getting an "error 100 :model id error" i have noticed that once my device goes into usb mode the activesync disconnects, i have checked all settings in activesync and they seem ok, i have no problems with sending and recieving information other than when i run the upgrade utility program.
The instructions that came with helmis rom upgrade say to put the file extrom on mem card, but the instructions in wiki dont mention this which leaves me totaly confused on the matter,
I have been reading wiki for a solid week now so have done plenty of research.
Any help appreciated guys.

model id error sounds like a rom for a different device (?)
active sync will disconnect, ruu has to be able to work without it, for example from bootloader screen.
however that's all I know, you don't give any details for a more experienced person to help, what's a helmis? blue angel? try posting in the blue angel upgrade forum, where did you get the rom from etc

Hello, I have unlocked my Cheetah thanks to all of you and saw a link on the site for a "full" 6.1 version, which I did, and it seems to be missing some things to I really want to go back to my original ATT 2.25 (original WM 6.0). I try to do this via the desktop and SD updater but since the version is newer on my Treo it will not allow me to do so. Can anyone help this newbie with instructions on how to accomplish this?
On another note a friend turned me on to your site and this is really awesome and I thank you for all of your time and help with all you do here!
You should not have any problem doing it via the SD card method. I did it on my other Treo. I dont know where exactly the hic up is. You should check your process again.

Use the SD card method, thats what I used to go back to ATT 2.25 wm 6.0
1. have you tried using the KaiserCustomRUU to load the ROM? Worked like a champ for me. just need to be sure to rename the ROM "RUU_signed.nbh"
2. using the official updater you need to modify the payloads.xml

3. SD as last resort IMO since it takes forever to get the ROM on the card (assuming its already formatted fat32)

Use MTTY and do a "Task 2a" then flash any ROM you want.
I need help. when i run the updater it says same or newer version already installed and goes no further.

uses the ruu flasher, wm6.1 std build 19199, just run to flash your phone to wm6.1 and most importantly do a hard reset after running the start up configurations...

I am back to windows mobile 6.1, have the 6.5 beta and for error as you got the date wrong and de phone dont make do nothing and will not let me give you downgrade, please help

after that message came up im no longer able to use the phone no matter how much buttons i press.its running in the background but the message just blocks out everything...please help me
oh and the phone restarts at times then returns to the same message

hi, just a very quick question. sorry if it's been asked before, but I'm going to supposedly flash my Polaris. I'm currently downloading the ROM from HTC, and while waiting I saw more links "Sprite Backup for HTC Touch Cruise_WWE" and "HTC Touch Cruise English ROM Code Update (10/20/08)_SEA"
I would like to get them because it was written on the 1st ROM update below the 2nd link I mention that after updating the device to WM 6.1, we are supposed to install the update first, then install the sprite backup. since my SN had been rejected in the website since the beginning (actually since I first bought the device back in 2008) I used the one I found on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431738&page=22 and both links came back with "this software download is not suitable for your device".
is there any explanation? do I really need both files as HTC mentioned? if I do need it, is there anywhere else or anybody else who has both files?
any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you very much!
