I don't know what to look after. Please help me.
On the swedish www.qtek.nu site there are some resolved issues regarding the GPRS connection and vodadfone sweden.
I am adressing the problem here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=81931#81931
Is it possible to use some qtek swedish image and put on the Imate Jam and then use the updates from qtek? It would also give me swedish T9.
This is my Dev Info
Rom Version 1.03.00 WWE
Radio 1.01.00
ExtROM 1.03.143 WWW
Please help me! I can't use my phone as I Intended and Vodafone/Imate can't help me at all.
This will probably be possible, but you will probably will have to adjust the iMate ROM. I don't know if it will work, but you could try the method which was written for the MDA Compact.
I don't know if this will work for the Qtek as well, since it was written for the MDA, maybe you would have to adjust certain things.. although i have no idea what.

Hi Robert,
Can you show me where the site above talks about resolving GPRS issues? I have the same exact problem with my S100 on T-Mobile in the US and can not find any updated ROM or updated Files. The rom that I did find is the same exact rom that was released about a month ago.
ROM Version: 1.06.00 WWE
ROM Date: 01/06/05
Radio Version 1.05.00
ExtROM Version: 1.06.116 WWE
Thanks
I have read a bunch of post on this but still not finding the answers. So, please forgive me if this is a repeat question.
I browsed thru the ftp site (under the Magician folder), but not sure of which ROM to download since there are so many of them and not sure of which is the most stable version (O2, i-mate, qtek, MDA?).
I have the O2 XDA II mini with the following version:
- ROM version: 1.03.00 WWE.
- ROM date: 11/01/04
- Radio version: 1.01.00
- Protocol version: 1337.38
- ExtROM version: 1.03.166 WWE
Or, should I use the one that I downloaded from seeo2.com site: the filename is:
ma_o2asia_11100_922_11100_ship.exe?
Also, when I update the ROM, would it lock my phone? I bought the phone in USA so I assume the phone is unlock.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
William
I'd use the Qtek S100 1.11 ROM (it's what i use now) as it's completely stable (1.12 seems not to be..) and then apply bigstorage to it..
How about the O2 ROM? I'd like to stay with O2 ROM (instead of using the Imate or Qtek ROM). Could anybody point me to the correct ROM to use? I browsed around the ftp but there are so many of them (extrom, bigstorage, modified, shipped). Thanks for the help!

The O2 ROM on their website was put up in May and is v1.11 and it's working OK for me.
I bought a T-Mobile Compact, and someone had loaded the I-Mate 1.11 ROM on there. I kept having a problem wth the GPRS failing to connect. I then upgraded to the 1.12 ROM, and it was even worse. I kept the 1.12 radio, and then downgraded to the basic 1.06 ROM. It is stable, and honestly, I don't see what the differences are besides now I can connect to GPRS whenever I want.
I also applied the bigstorage hack, and only applied the basic extended ROM cab files from 1.12 and the bluetooth patch from 1.06. I received my Compact last week, and applied 1.06 yesterday. So far, no issues have cropped up. Man, this Compact is so much less buggy than my MDAIII. The MDAIII was so feature packed, but had sooo many problems.
Hope that helps.
plz, give me a link to O2 1.11eng, i cannot log to o2 as my iemi belongs to imate, thanks

Just found this thread which has a link to the O2 ROM:

Dear friends
Are there any RUU installers for Prophet's Radio part of the ROM only, the way they are available for Wizards?
To be exact I have problems with GPRS roaming on home network's setings with Qtek S200 AKU2 WWE ROM,
Radio part 02.07.20,
and would like to change radio ROM to
02.19.21
that I've seen is available integrated to newer Dopod ROMs
Ps. the same problem occured with my Wizard's radio ROM (that's how I know what to blame), changed it to 2.25 and woks like a charm!
..and to add to my question:
Can Radio ROMs from Wizzard be used on Prophets?
If so, can this Radio ROMS, available on the popular Wizzard thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=52952&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=) be used in any Prophet?

I'm using Radio 02.30.21 which I got from
http://www.pdamobiz.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=66604&PN=1
It works fine on my G3 i-mate, but I don't know what the differences are from the previous version.

I just downloaded and installed the G4 version on my XDA Neo (JAMin ROM). It worked fine. I also noticed there might be some signal boost since I got better signal in the same area. But I am not 100% sure yet.
Thanks!
But could you please explain where did this 02.30.21 Radio come from? (Is it from DOPOD 2.15 ROM or from Wizard ROMs?)
I used some Thai to english service to find out that it came from the French ROM that we have on XDA FTP..
Tried the G4 Radio ROM on my SPV M600 with Dopod ROM.
Had 3 reboots in one day.. .think I just reflash my device with the Dopod ROM and watch this thread for a while
can you supply us with the Dopod radio rom?
Sorry for the misunderstanding.. ..I'm using the Dopod ROM together with the radio ROM mentioned above: Radio 02.30.21 from PDAMobiz.
Will installing this update hard reset my xda neo?
I wouldn't like to reinstall all my software.... :?
radio g4 updated
I installed the G4 update 2.30... All right!!
No it doesn't.. ..it only updates the Radio part without hard resetting
Hello,
Is there any problem upgrading this Radios Roms on my Portuguese Qtek???
What Radio rom should I upgrade, the G3 or the G4??
you have to have AKU2 rom:
if it's 2.XXXXX.00001 then G4, otherwise G3 ... But you can try with G3 flash and the update utility will not alow you to finish the proces if it's not for your ROM - then just take G4 and flash it
And what if anything goes wrong?? Is there anything to avoid a Hard Reset??

I installed the G4 Radio ROM in my imate Jamin ROM 0000, it installed and worked ok, but then I read this thread, I decided that my device must be G3...anyway, I installed G3 and it also works fine. What would happen if I left the G4 version on it ...Kablueeeee! ?

no need to hard reset your device! With radio ROM only you will not loose any data
the worst thing you can do is kill your GSM signal and telephone part, you can still backup all your data and reflash with your original ROM (regardless of it beiing older than radio version)
I reflashed my SPV M600 with the Dopod ROM and went back from Radio 02.30.21 (French ROM), to the Radio 02.19.21.
The radio part from the French ROM made my device reboot to many times. Mostly when I was on the phone for more than 15 minutes.
is it really a problem to use G4 radio rom on a device that is supposed to use G3?!?
I upgraded my Qtek S200 with the lastest french rom... it is supposed to have the latest radio rom... but I have some problem with it... sometimes, it loose the signal for no reason... sometimes when I try to send a sms, I get "phone not ready"... the auto-disconnect for gprs does not work correctly after I send a mms... sometime I can not hang up after a call, I have to soft-reset..
So used the G4 radio rom on my device (2.xxx.0000 IPL/SPL), and now it works fine... I do not have any problem with it... all functions are working fine...
Wizard's radios can be flashed to Prophets!!
2.47.11 is the latest and people are delighted with it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279380&page=7
Try it!
I'm just a bit confused here ive upgraded to WM6
ROM 10.1.0.811 WWE
Radio 02.25.11
But when i'm using gprs i cant recieve incoming txt or voice calls untill i disconnect, i'm on t-mobile UK
Is there anyway to change my radio version without having to change from WM6 or loose settings etc??
And which version would be best.
Many thanks
Read the ROM thread! Every cook suggests a specific radio ROM. You also need to read all about ROM flashing.
Yes you can flash the radio only and I use faria's 2.69.11 with out problems
since u are using 2.25... im guessing u are currently on the Cingular network. most cingular/at&t have missed calls/texts that dont even go into the phone. try the t-mobile uk 2.19 radio rom and let me know. it should be somewhere in the XDA FTP. good luck
.:Nstefanelli:.
If I don’t use calling or text messages for a random period of time, it looks like the calling-service has gone down. My phone is unreachable and does not receive calls en text messages anymore. If I use the network again (for internet, calling or text messages), I receive all the messages from when the phone was unreachable.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue?
Does anyone knows what cause the issue?
I tried a couple of ROM’s but they all have the same problem. Here is some information about my phone and installed ROM’s and versions.
T-Mobile MDA Vario
Model: WIZA200
ROM version: 2.18.0.0 WWE
ROM Date: 2/14/06
Radio Version: 02.47.11
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.24
ExtROM version: faria V5.0
OS: WM 6.0 5.2.318 (Build 15341.4.0.01)
Installed ROM: WM6 Pro 3.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=309078)
I hope someone can help me with this one.

use the 2.19 UK radio instead of 2.47. You can find the 2.19 UK radio link by going to the XM6 thread (see my sig) and its in the 1st or 2nd post.
We are also playing with a registry entry in the Cingular Radio thread, you could try that too, but personally I never had good luck with the 2.47 radio on a stock WM5 rom, so I haven't ever tried it on WM6.
Radio version 2.19 is the only version that works without a problem on T-Mobile NL for me with WM6!
Really thanks, I'm going to downgrade the Radio version to T-Mobile 2.19 UK Radio as mfrazzz recommended.
I hope this will work.
ftp://xda:[email protected]_Thread/T-Mobile-UK_2.19.11_Radio_Only.zip
before you downgrade, try this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=312834
I instandly installed the UK 2.19 Radio ROM.
It seems to be working.
Thanks
