7 cabs for different tastes.
Tested and working on HD2 with no problem with good sound. It`s best to install on fresh OS. First install any of the "Ear/VoIP"(to enable native voip) cabs then install WOW HD included in attachment for louder sound and set all values to 100% except first one(srs 3d). Port 5060 enabled by default(make sure forward 5060 port in router for (possible) 2 way communication.
Please leave your Comments/Suggestions.
All credit goes to developers who invested thier time and effort to develop these programes, I was just able to combine them and made cabs + did some extra setting over 3 year period, as i have gained knowledge on this subject. These cabs are based on G.711 codec, so bit hungry on network. I advise to use these cabs on WLan with good reception.
Thanks.

hi shah, I am in process of making new voip cab based on g711 codec with volume increase inbuilt plus 5060 port forward enabled by default. I will upload with in a week, are you using 6.1 or 6.5.
Reason for voice problem would be your ISP or Mobile carrier blocking packets.

Create Dialplan
Hi,
installing the cab was easy going but i am struggling with the configuration...
When i use the "create dialplan" tool, enter my configs and afterwards hit the "create" button it tells me that everything's fine. But where can i find this dialplan? I expected some file in the directory of the config tool or at least something on the dialplan tab in the config tool...
I tried several times (of course with reset afterwards) but always the same -- my configurations seemed to be lost.
What am i doing wrong?
Is the provider (t-mobile in my case) capable to lock the WM6.5 VoIP feature?
I have already tried several other solutions (fring and other softphones) without success...
BTW: if everything works what happens? How could i see that VoIP is active?
Thanks!!
Joerg

VOIP Almost working
Thanks for the Cabs. I was able to get Internet Dailing set up on my FUZE w/ stock 6.5ROM. I did the SIP provisioning with my provider and I can receive calls now. But, when I dial, I see that a "9" is automatically entered in front of the number I'm dialing which doesn't allow my SIP SIPsorcery/Sipgate dial plan to dial the number correctly. How can I fix this?

Play with DialPlan according to your country code, area code. Otherwise try cab without DialPlan. See if it works. Thanks

Windows 6.5
Looks like the files haven't been updated yet? Were these going to be put in a new thread?

Hi,
any screenshots and has anyone tested this in WM6.5.x?
thanks

This Ip Dial Plan Creator works. Credits to the author Jaap De-Wolff. It is the best i have found to set up VOIP.
I use the attached files to install Native VOIP in to all my WM phones and currently working great on my 6.5.5 ROM from Dutty HG_11.
Also the attached AutoAudioRoute (Credits to oruam57) which routes the audio to the earpiece for both VOIP and SKYPE calls. You need to first install AudioRoute 1.2.020 from Teksoft then delete the AudioRoute link file from the Start Up folder before installing this CAB.
Link to the thread in signature below.
I will like to check out your Ear Cab to see how it works and report back.
EDIT: I checked your CAB files (VoipEar & VoipDialEar) and found that you have an error in the .inf files with the regedit line:
reg_path18 = Software\Microsost\Today\Items\Internet Calling
It should read "Microsoft" rather than "Microsost"

Thanks for reporting this bug

how does it work

By Native i mean it is the "built in" Windows mobile VOIP version rather than a 3rd party installed "soft phone". Your Call carrier will always be the default phone service provider.
On the today screen, once you have installed the CAB file and registered with a VOIP service provider and filled in the SIP Configuration, you will see a line on your Today screen (if you have disabled Manila and gone back to the original WM Today screen. This will show your SIP provider and status:
SipDiscount: Available
OR
SipDiscount: Selected
Only when in the SELECTED mode will your phone dial out on the VOIP service otherwise all calls will go out on the Mobile carrier. You will be able to receive VOIP calls when ever "Available" or "Selected" are the display mode.
I only really use VOIP for making calls overseas as it is much cheaper than even using SKYPE for calling out to land lines or Mobiles Internationally.

thanks for quick clear reply
sounds good

WM6.1, SIP available but not selected
Hi,
I'm trying to use WM6.1 SIP instead of fring with which I've no problem to make SIP calls.
When using the WM6.1 SIP soft and SIP config Tool, I manage to set my account, I see my SIP provider available in the today screen, but I cannot select it. When clicking on available, I go to the phone settings but the status remains available (instead of selected) and my calls use GSM.
Does somebody knows how to fix that problem ?
My PDA is an AIRIS T483 with WM6.1 and up to know I had no problem when installing and using pocket PC softs !
Thank's in advance !

Hey hey
Have any tried to install skype on there Tornado and got it to work?? Or are there any SIP client there can work on a smartphone??
I want to use my Tornado as a IP phone when I'm home!
Kind regards

I use some prog for SIP but it's in Russian. Do u need it?
hey
mustafin, the SIP client you have which is in russian, could you please upload it to here so that perhaps someone can work on translating it into english

I will be much obliged to you if you can give it to me
Could you please also send it to me [email protected]. I appreciate.
What about the BeWIP client?
Sure, it's in french, but I bet you can use it for any WM smartphone. Do a google search, it's supposed to work on the Tornado.
personally, I've been using SJphone for Pocket PC, but ripped out the needed files and ran it on my SP5m.
It works well, but the interface is awkward since it was designed for a touch screen.
Has anyone found anything that works well and was designed for smartphone?
Download the Skype 2.2 for tornado and it works excellent. No delays or echo found..
http://www.skype.com/download/skype/mobile/downloading_smart_beta.html
Let me know how it works ?
yeah, I've used it.
I meant SIP so i can bring my existing VoIP provider with me.
I have GoSIP but again it's a french client
I'd give it a shot... I took a little french in high school...
Still looking for sip client for my sp5m. I installed Skype (not sip) and its working great. However, I would like to tap a sip client to our VOIP system we have at wrok.
SJ Labs - Did not releas one yet
All other I saw, are asking you to connect to a pre-define SIP server
Any help/tip is welcome.

I tried to get it form their site, but it seems that they want me to download it in stages through SMS (my french is rusty, but that's what it looks like).
Do you have the complete .exe or something that I could try?

Hey Acsguitar.
I think you're missing the point here...
Sure, you can have skype call a landline for a fee, and even have your own incoming number for another fee... But those of us who already have a regular VoIP-based landline phone number (such as with vonage or broadvoice) can call through their already existing service using their already existing number with the proper SIP compatible softphone.
I am able to take my home number with me when I travel using SJphone, but because it doesn't have a smartphone version, the interface is a bit buggy when you run it. I'm looking for something smoother.

Hope you all have the success that I have with this SIP client, happy Hunting chaps,

VOIP now working with WM6 !!

Hello
Please see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950&highlight=01752+265111 - that's great news.
It is quite simple - I followed the instructions to create the xml file then the .cab, installed it, turned wifi on, enabled the today plugin, when to settings/phone/internet to select "whenever", fixed the redundant 9 in the dialplan with totalcommander, rebooted, and in the next 5 minutes successfully called myself ! Even better: it works with a bluetooth earphone.
This is the 2nd killing application to me : fully integrated VOIP.
Only 1 problem so far:international numbers do not work, which is a problem for me since every number I have stored is in the international format (+countrycode-localnumber)
Tomorrow I'll try to make my international number work with some dialplan editing and post my results here.

Excellent news.
If possible, please provide me following three DLL files from your universal WM6 Windows directory.
dnsapi.dll
voipphonecanvas.dll
rtcdll.dll
I downloaded and installed three three files for Hermes WM6 from ftp://xda:[email protected]/Hermes/WMXL_Support_Files/WM6VoIP.CAB.
It can not make VOIP calls because those DLLs are for Hermes WM6, not for universal WM6.
Thank you in advance.
they are the same for both devices.

VoIP Client for VOX?

Hello,
is there a way to use the VoIP WM6 embedded client with this smartphone? It seems that WM6 Standard (smartphone edition) does not come with VoIP support default. Does anyone know of a way to install VoIP client that comes with the PDA-version of WM6 (WM6 Professional)?
Thanks a lot, an answer would save me a lot of troubles,
Ionut
me to ...
Anyjoy anybody ??
have you tried to copy the relevant files?
which are mentioned int thread: {SOLVED} How to configure VoIP/SIP client in WM6.
in the \Windows directory:
*
* ipdialplan.xml
* dnsapi.dll
* voipphonecanvas.dll
* rtcdll.dll
or checked the registry, for any voip relevant entries,
maybe you only will have to set a registry and than it might work (e.g. like the gps component)
but i dont have a vox yet, im only guessing.
I think that vox doesnt support voip doesnt mean wm 6 standard doesnt support voip, it may mean that htc did not include the voip component.
other wm 6 standard smartphones might have it in the future.
its a posting related to the ppc version (since wm6 its called professional), i read that it should work properly even with a 200mhz wizard
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950
it shouldn't have been removed from the standard (smartphone version)

Some info on this:
I have used the WM6VoIP.cab posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303558 - post nr. 2, and although at the beginning it looked like nothing happened, after changing the Home default view (start/settings/home screen) to something else (not sure what i did and dont have the VOX anymore), Internet Calling appeared as a plugin.
Hope this helps anybody...

forgot to mention that I setup the VoIP settings and used it and it works flawlessly. The only problem is that the sound goes in the back and not the earpiece, but this is smth that we should still investigate.
I've added some instructions to the VOX wiki. Maybe some find it usefull and could expand it regarding the IPDialplan.xml (A non VOX but WM6 specific topic on that would sure be helpful).

Not sure yet and I am in desperate need of a solution. I will try to find out some more reading other threads about the VoIP settings here at xdadev. In case any of you finds a way to make the sound go in the front earpiece for this type of smartphone, pls email me at ionutz (at) pdamobile.ro.
Thanks a bunch!
Hi there.
Although the phone somehow registers to the VOIP service, I always get a "Network Error" when I try to place a call.
Could be provider dependant, maybe with some others it works...
Anyhow, just to let me understant, would you mind posting the name of your provider (or PM it to me if against the rules) so that I check with them?
Other thing, your today plugin stays as well on "Searching", right?
Thanks,
Ka.
Hi,
Regarding the the sound coming out of the back of the phone instead of the front, it is also happening to me with Skype so that may indicate it is something to do with the way the handset is setup by default and not the SIP add-in, maybe a registry setting.
Hi
Anyone found a solution to the VoIP sound coming out the speaker rather than the earpiece?
Regards
Phil

WM6.5 ROM with SIP VOIP

Hi,
Can someone suggest what WM6.5 ROM I can use that has SIP VOIP capability? I am using 6.5.1.7 - 23085 from md_bluelily (which works great on my 8125!) but it does not appear to include SIP.
Thanks.

What do you mean with SIP VOIP? Sorry no time for research
Hi,
I mean "Internet Calling" feature of WM6.x
Please read this post for more details on what I am looking for:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950
I was unable to get this to work with this ROM, so I assume that it is not included.
Thanks
Sorry, my bad. It does work fine with this ROM... just my lack of understanding of how to use the SIP feature of WM.
You can use BsbG rom, Makeveral has not removed the voip files
Voip ENERGY Leo ROM
Dear all I have searched en searched but didn't find a answer anywhere.
The problem is next:
I want to use VOIP on my TP2.
In the ENERGY Leo ROM VOIP is integrated.
I only download a SIPconfig tool to make it work.
But I don't get the speaker and the mic. to work properly.
Calling as a fact is working but then the people can’t hear my.
And I hear than only over the back speaker.
Does somebody know how to solve this problem??
I wonder the same thing and I searched too on the forums, but SIP seems to be also something to do with keyboards
Since the VOIP funcionality has been removed by HTC (probably necessitated by the telephone company) am I to assume that all the custom ROMs have not removed it? Because in the versions they modify (i.e. kitchens) it is still included or not? It would only be logical, as it's such a useful - not to mention incredible cost effective - function!
So could someone spread any light on this: do all the ROMs have it or just some? If only some, which?
Or do I still need something like the CAB files from these sites (which don't quite work for me on the original ROM).

Map it to a hardware key using Tarkims Keyboard Mapper and point to "\Program Files"\MS Voice Command\voicecmd.exe"
a mapped the key but can not see the settings link that must be in: start->settings->microsoft voice command...
and set the check marks for what the program should work...(i`m with windows mobile 6.5 and with the latest version of msvc..)
