MMS does not display text formatting in WM6.1 - General Questions and Answers

In an earlier version (6.0, 5.?) I was able to see different text formatting when sending HTML email to MMS on my phone. With 6.1, I can't.
For example:
When I'd send an email
to my phone using MMS
the
text would display
just like
I formatted
it in the HTML email.
The text would look just like I does in this example.
Now, it does not. Anyone know what gives? Does it have something to do with the combined SMS and MMS? Threading vs. Non-threading, maybe?

Arcsoft MMS: Need bigger Textfield

Hallo!
I am using the xda comet. I get my SMS delivered by MMS, also i write E-Mails over MMS.( Its free for me)
I have natively instaled the arcsoft mms composer (v4.x).
I find it VERY disturbing that i only have two lines (visible) for entering my mails.
Is there a rorkaround to have a larger input field (by installing another version or by using a modifyed template) or do you know some working MMS Composers that can be used as standard MMS Program for recieving and delivery?

MMS and threaded SMS inbox

Hi folks. Can someone let me know what happens with MMSs in WM6.1 with the threaded SMS inbox?
I've got an emulator up and running with 6.1. I've also installed Arcsoft MMS 4.0.40.1 for Tornado. This puts the MMS inbox as part of the SMS inbox.
I've also written a tool to backup and restore your entire MAPI contents, including MMS. This is currently working great for SMS, and works when restoring an MMS to drafts, but I'm not sure what's supposed to happen in the threaded inbox view - so I can't tell if it's working or not.
So, my question is: what happens to an mms you receive? Does it live inline with threaded view, or do most people use a version of Arcsoft that has a separate message store?
Cheers
Matt

WM 6.5 Text Messaging Client Lacking Subfolder Support?

I have recently upgraded my Touch HD to RTT'S Leet R5 (WM 6.5) and had to find out the hard way that the messaging client in WM 6.5 doesn't seem to support user-defined subfolders. Text messages backed up with SPB Backup can be restored on the device (well, apparently, at least - see below), however, messages located in user-defined subfolders (in inbox as well as sent items) cannot be accessed.
As for "apparently": PIM Backup does show the additional folders and the number of messages in them, however, the few text messages which still resided in the inbox and haven't been filed away prior to backup don't show up either in the WM 6.5 text messaging client. They do show up briefly in TF3D but disappear as soon as the messaging client is launched.
I'm a bit lost here. The problem doesn't seem to be just the lacking support of user-defined subfolders in the messaging client but something more - after all, why then would even the text messages NOT in subfolders disappear as well?
I'd appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this. The backup file itself is intact.

MS Voice Command SMS Reading and the new HTC Messaging System......

This threas is meant for discussions and ideas.....
Any chance to make the famous Microsoft Voice Command reads SMS Messages without disabling HTC Messaging system via Zeynee cab ???
Any ideas ?
MSVC now reads emails on ROMs using HTC Messaging and the reason behind that is that the email handling application is still the old Microsoft System unlike the SMSs...
I used to disable HTC Messaging to get MSVC works, but in the latest 1.8 version of HTC Messaging Applications, it seems that Zeynee cab disables the MMS messages too, I just can not send or receive MMS messages EVEN AFTER INSTALLING ARCSOFT APPLICATION and that's why I have raised this thread...
Thanks for all.........

[Q] HTC Mail, Exchange ActiveSync, and Plain Text E-mail

Hi all,
I'm a new Aria user on ATT (everything still completely stock and vanilla) and I've pretty much got everything setup for Exchange access via ActiveSync. I am able to set the HTC e-mail client to receive HTML formatted messages from our Exchange server. However, I get a fair number of basic plain text e-mails; i.e., there is no HTML information at all in the message body. When I open any message that happens to be plain text only, the e-mail client shows a blank message on open. I'm guessing it's because the application is looking for HTML information, and it finds none. Regardless of message type (HTML or plain text or both), I always see the subject header no problem. If there is an attachment to the plain text e-mail, then I do see the attachment itself, but nothing else of the message body. If I change the message format setting to be Plain Text instead, messages that have already been sync'ed (using the HTML setting) are still blank, but new plain text messages are fine.
EDIT: Some additional info. I'm using Kerio MailServer as my Exchange Server. I have version 6.6 of Kerio, so I had to use the "allow unsupported devices" setting to get the account setup. As a test, I changed my Exchange ActiveSync setup to point to my gmail account; using that server, plain text messages sent to the account are displayed, and they appear to be using some kind of HTML formatting. I don't have a proper MS Exchange server to test out more fully. At this point, it looks to be more of a server issue than a mail client issue, but maybe a little of both. If anyone uses Kerio MailServer, I'd appreciate any tips or experience.
I haven't tried some of the other e-mail clients available; it seems like they all have their ups and downs. I have done a decent amount of searching, but did not find much on this specific issue. Is this problem a known issue (or can anyone replicate it), and is there any chance of fixing it? My preference would be to continue using the stock e-mail app, using the HTML format setting for ActiveSync e-mails, but actually be able to read plain text e-mails!
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions,
JEBroussard
