Nz & oz htc snapp unlock thread - Dash 3G, Snap ROM Development

okay, the lock on the htc snapp (MAPL) sold in NZ and OZ is unbreakable at the moment, i havn't been able to do mine on
NZ Telecom 6.1
and ive read of Australian users on
AUS Telstra 6.1
having the similar problems,
mine phone wont unlock via
SDA App unlock
MobileJaw wont install
and i dont have permissions to XML edit.
Please post here, if you have HARDSPL'd your NZ or OZ phone, or if you havnt so we can get some support going and hopefully work it out.

I would also like to HARD SPL these phones can anyone help us here
Model:MAPL130
Provider: Telecom NZ

You need to use QMAT to generate a Goldcard onto a MicroSD. You can then use the MicroSD card to bring the lock level to 0 and Flash the phone via Bootloader to the TMO Dash3G ROM and App unlock it from there to run JumpSPL. No time to write it up write now but thats how to do it.
You can use my Unbricking thread to learn how to Generate an HTC Maple Goldcard. Fun learning experience!

cool ill give it a shot, ill post results later

I have a HTC Snap from Telstra that has WM6.5 so it had SPL 1.24 on it.
After searching around for a way to remove some of the application security that was enforced on the phone i thought id give this a shot.
Google for "unlock-the-security-on-the-samsung-jack" and you should see a link from 1800pocketpc.
Use the clearsecurity.cab that you get from that link and run it on the phone and everything is unlocked.
After installing you can uninstall as battery gets drained very quickly.
You can then use hardspl 1.19 and it works with no issues
Will try a custom rom later as its a company phone and i need to be able to enrol it and use Telstra APN's
Hope this helps someone

Ohh thanks alot! Was so worried that my new Htc Snap wasn't going to work .
For other users having the same problem, here is the keywords for the error that was occurring. sorry a problem has occurred with jumpspl.exe

Missing CAB
Hi guys,
Can anybody post the CAB file?
The link does not work anymore..
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Just found it and attaching it here. It worked like a charm! No need for SCM tool at all. Now finally I can edit policies regvalues as I want, SDA Unlock does not through "unlockable" error, checklock now says it is unlocked... life is good

WM 6 on MDA

Hello, I really would like to know about this, I have a T-Mobile MDA (USA) running WM 5 version 2.26.10.2 WWE. I downloaded this from the T-Mobile website and updated my phone. I would like WM 6 on my MDA but i have no clue on how to do it. So if someone could please help me to do that i would really appreciate it. Also i would like to know some of the advantages and disadvantages (if any) of upgrading to WM 6. I'm a complete noob to any of this so any help is appreciated.

Start reading the forums. Everything you need is found here. Best bet is to take time and read the stickies at the top of this forum and the Wizard Upgrading forum. Those will tell you the step by step instructions on doing all of this. But understand, this isn't just a simple application install, but an OS Install (and not one supported by your provider). So for most roms you will have to figure out how to setup GPRS and MMS to get them to work. So don't rush into this, but spend some time reading and learning (or you may wind up with a dead phone).
A really good post with tons of pointers to stuff is:

Hats off to Carlosdude1991 for putting that together.
Thanks for the quick response, ive been reading up a little and so far it seems like the WM 6 Roms run faster than the originals, i have also learned that i have a G3 Device. Anyway im going to unlock my device and install WM 6 but i dont really know which ROM to get. Which is the best WM 6 ROM?

Ok, then start here and follow everything without skipping steps.

As for WM6, you'll have to decide what you really want. If you want a fully loaded rom, then try Faria's "the real thing". For a "clean" rom try NotTooSmart or Xplore 1.1. Also Zoki's NBD is getting good reviews (I haven't tried it).
The beta of Faria's Vanilla is going VERY well and will be a great rom when its released (watch for it soon).
Good luck and have fun.
I have another question though before i do that, after i get WM6 will everything work again like it used to, like phone, text and sms, camera, programs etc.?
yes they will, you will have to enter in the correct settings for T-mobile mms
I think this is my last question (actually last 2), On the guide it says to downgrade to T-Mobile 2.26 ROM, what does it mean by that, does it mean that I should install buttons 1.05 ROM and do the whole process and then install the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM which is the one I'm running right now? and wouldnt that re-lock my phone? and my second question is about how long would it take to go from an official T-mobile 2.26.10.2 ROM, Locked phone. to a WM6 unlocked everything working phone?
BTW thanks for all the quick responses and help.

Go to that thread and follow those directions. You have to use the lokiwiz to cid unlock your rom before you can add custom roms. Cid unlocking voids your warranty btw. That form is straight forward and works like a charm just do exactly what it says word for word.
I read it through a couple of times now, but i just don't get the part at the end where it says install the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM. I have that right now and wouldnt that just re-lock the phone? Also how do i Downgrade to the Button 1.05 ROM?
Alright, I understand where your coming from, I was in your shoes. lokiwiz will not work with 2.26. Therefore you have to downgrade your rom to 1.05( I used 1.8 because I couldnt find 1.5 and it still worked) Once you downgrade your rom then you can use lokiwiz to Cid unlock your phone. adding 2.26 after your cid unlock your phone will not lock it again given that you did everything correctly. 2.26 is a solid and steady base rom to use that doesnt have any bugs or anything. once this is all done you can put a wm6 rom on your wizard.
o ok i see, so i can download and install the 2.26 ROM from the T-Mobile USA website and it wont relock my phone, right? also "(i used 1.8 because i couldnt find 1.5 and it still worked)" you mean 1.05 right?

All this is correct, but let me stress... You have to get both IPL and SPL down to 1.xx or when you go back to 2.xx you may find your device isn't really CID Unlocked... So follow that thread. It tells you to do the button downgrade, then do lokiwiz, then you have to downgrade again if your SPL still hasn't changed. Once you get both to 1.xx, THEN you can go back to an official 2.xx rom (TMo 2.26 is the suggested one). THen as long as you stay on 2.xx and above, you will not have to the the 1.xx downgrade ever again. You will remain CID Unlocked during all your flashing adventures.
Thx for covering that.. I forgot about that one.. .. as for using 1.05 when i tried to click the link, I had trouble and had to search for a different 1.rom. checked the link today and it works again.. Would have saved some time and stress. lol
I have a question, when i reach the part right after downgrading to 1.05 ROM and i click enablerapi do i install it to anywhere or just click it then run the lokiwiz.bat on the computer?
Install to the C Drive I believe

It tells you there in the steps on where things go... Basically the enablerapi can be anyplace on your phone, just get it over there and run it. But Lokiwiz needs to be on the C:\ drive of your PC to work properly I believe
alright i have succesfully installed WM6 " the real thing" but now i cant make any SMS messages? how can i fix this, i know you have to change the address or something but i have no clue where to go so i can do that. Also is there a way to get free internet from T-Mobile USA? I also have another quesiton, how come sometimes in the little icon next to the signal icon, its G and other times its E? does it make a difference?

You can't do SMS and MMS because you haven't set that stuff up yet apparently. EIther go to the T-Mo site and find the settings to plug into your phone, or search around here for the cabs for T-Mobile (I'm on Cingular so I don't have the T-Mo cabs to post)
G is straight GPRS. E is Edge (faster). I think the default TMo and Cingular stock roms turn this off from switching (so they always just show E). So now you are seeing when you are connected to the better net (but a lot of people don't care for that. again there is a cab around to turn that off)
Congrats on upgrading successfully.

Vox Update SPL (USPL) 1.16

Hi guys,
I've just implemented a Vox USPL which allows you to flash any Vox ROM updates, i.e. you can flash any *official* ROM even if your phone's model and vendor ID doesn't match. It's confirmed that you can also flash cooked ROMs
This SPL is based on original Vox 1.16 SPL but includes 3 patches:
1) g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = 0 (set 32)
2) Does not check Model & Vendor ID
3) Does not check signature*
(*) code must be formally signed i.e. contain properly-formatted signatures on the right places, however no checking is performed against them.
This means you can flash ANY ROM to your Vox after running USPL on it, no need to pay for CID unlock anymore!
The USPL will *not* help you to SIM unlock your device. You still have to pay for that.
The USPL runs in RAM and is *not* flashed to your device, so there is no risk there. Once it runs you can run any official Vox ROM update utility.
The USPL does *not* permanently CID unlock your phone, like the CID unlocker from imei-check or so.
After you flashed a ROM your phone is again CID locked. Each time you wonna flash a ROM with a different model and/or vendor ID (different from your phone) or a cooked ROM, you must run the USPL again and then flash the ROM.
It's beta and untested and the risk is entirely yours !! Don't blame me if you brick your phone
EDIT:
You can now also flash the USPL allowing you to flash any unsigned (cooked ROM or ROM module, e.g. radio or OS) or signed ROM with any model/vendor ID. The USPL substitutes your SPL until you perform a full ROM update. Consider it as an extra insurance in case something goes wrong with flashing cooked ROMs or any other ROM update !
Instructions:
1. Run the USPL (Vox USPL- CID BYPASS.zip)
2. Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe (Vox-USPL-RUU.zip)
Have fun,
JockyW
The attachments:
SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip : application unlocker if u need it
mtty1.42.zip : terminal emulator (not neccessary if u only do ROM updates, but if you wonna play with the bootloader commands you need it)
Vox-USPL-RUU.zip: flash version of USPL (Note: you must first run USPL from "Vox USPL- CID BYPASS.zip" before you can flash it with ROMUpdateUtility.exe from Vox-USPL-RUU.zip !!!)
Vox USPL- CID BYPASS.zip : instructions included
Credits: in particular to pof. This USPL and also the one for Excalibur is based on his USPL for the Elf. See here
I think this is one of the most fantastic news of the century!!!
Finally some cooking can start on this little device.
Thanks again,
Ka.
noob question
what the difference between sim unlock and cid unlock?
This can be found in various threads around here, anyway.
SIM Lock - You can't use a SIM from a different provider than the one who sold you the phone.
CID-Lock - You can't flash your phone with a ROM which hasn't been cooked by your provider (or manufacturer for HTC unbranded phones).
Ka.
jockyw2001 great but make one for htc oxygen pls.

anyone online right now wanna drop me a line about this... what do I do exactly with the ruu file. Do I place rom image in that folder while runnning update???
so i followed the instructions and executed the cid bypass(installed itsutils and haret). once i get to the end it says use mtty or flash with RUU. so I attempt to flash right after (am I supposed to flash while the screen is black) but its gives me a connections error. I figure its because the phone is off. So I turn it on and update with the RUU again but only make it to 3% before I get a invalid vendor id. Would anyone care to comment on how I can flash this vox to the dopod rom...

To the users who had the same problem as me I am currently flashing my phone and I managed to get past my problem by using the SDA Application unlocker on my vox. I always thought that HTC were already application unlocked. Was going crazy for a while but I guess I should've followed the instructions step-by-step regardless of what I thought.
Big up to jockyw2001(and of course pof for without him alot of us would still be using shipped rom) for this wicked tool.

I only got this phone so I could upgrade it for a friend to stop the boot loop. It seems to have fixed that problem so I guess it's better than the other roms. On the other hand I can't stand smartphone's so my suggestion is to ditch your SP and switch to PPC . Also I read before hand that this ROM doesn't include Windows Live Messenger but it is included in the rom. Just thought I'd let u guys know.
input please
Just ran into another problem and would appreciate some input. I understand that USPL only works for one flash...but I wasn't aware that a hard reset counted as a flash. Regardless my device hung at the dopod boot screen after a hard reset. Is this normal after using USPL on a device, and if so does this occur with all devices??? I would hate to give a phone back and have to tell the person that they can't perform a hard reset...

If you flash a full ROM the SPL is overwritten with the one in the ROM (Dopod = 1.19). Nothing to do with USPL. Booting can take a long time after hard reset. Unplug battery and try again.

Thanks, I got it to work eventually...Good to know USPL doesn't effect hard resets, I guess you learn something new everyday.
If I had to take a guess before hand I'd figure a SP would boot faster than a PPC, but I realize now that I'd be wrong...
thanks to all for the help, I can finally return this Vox back to its owner

thought I fixed the problem. seems as if after a day it just hangs at the dopod screen. It was working fine everytime I had it. As soon as I give it back it seems to hang. Guess ima just flash it back to the HTC rom, too much hassle for just $20.

The basic is that all shipped ROMs are one flashable NBH file. To manage that file you need two apps. One called NBHExtract to extract the content of NBH file into NB files (search here for it) and htcrt to pack the NB files you need into a NBH. If you need to flash only the OS, then take the 03_OS.NB and pack with htcrt. The use Kaiser CustomRUU to flash the OS only.
Hope that helps you.
Cheers.
Hi, I have downloaded the dutty rom and run the NBHExtract program and its extracted 2 files, now I have used the htcrt and that has created a NB file which I understand that I have to now use the Custom RUU file. Will this just flash the OS file and keep the radio etc? the reason I ask if that I have the Orange UK TYTN 2 and I know that if mess with the Radio file then it will SIM Lock the device. Unless someone else can tell me something else. Does what I have done sound right and will it now work on my TYTN2 without it being unlocked?
I have flashed my UK Orange TyTNII,
Firstly and most importantly i flashed HardSPL which you can find in one of the sticky's, connect your phone and run the .exe file and follow the instructions to install it.
Once i had done that i downloaded the HTC Original Rom, using Winrar i took the NBH file out of the HTC_Original_ROM.exe and placed it in a file. Then using NBHExtract i decompiled it into it's sections (Splash Screen, OS, Radio, SPL, IPL) then i repackaged just the OS.nb back into an NBH file and flashed that to my phone.
Using this method i only altered the OS and I have HardSPL installed for protection against bad flashes.
I did not have any problem with the Phone asking for a SIM unlock code
Hope that helps
Cheers

HI,
I am thinking of getting a TyTNII on Orange UK, but because I will be travelling abroad, I want to be able to use local sim cards.
I understand that Orange phones are locked down, what would I have to do to make it 'sim free'?
Do I need to flash the rom as described above?
Also, why is it not good idea to flash the original HTC ROM? The 'sim free' TyTNII can take any sim, whats changed in Orange models?
Thanks in advance for you help.
T-mobile is the same
I would like to get the HTC rom on my Vario III not for simlock just because most of the time the rom is just more stabel how do i do this already flashed my old vario once from wm5 to wm6 but its bin a long time since i have bin here anny help?

On the Orange TyTnIIs there are two types of locks:
a) CID Lock
b) SIM Lock
The CID lock stops you from loading a replacement ROM on the device.
The SIM lock stops you from using a non-Orange SIM.
The free HardSPL software handles the CID lock issue, allowing the ROM to be replaced.
The SIM lock issue cannot currently be fixed with a free solution. There are people on the forum who can SIM unlock it for you for about 20 quid. This will allow you to use any network's SIM in the device, but in general, has little to do with the ROM upgrade issue (though see next caveat).
If you simply run HardSPL to deal with the CID lock, you can now install a new ROM. However, if you blindly install a ROM that contains a different radio rom to orange's radio rom, then the device will behave as if any SIM, including an Orange SIM, is invalid. To get around this you have two options:
a) Only install a ROM which has no radio rom in it, but only changes the Operating System rom, or
b) pay someone 20 quid so that the phone is SIM unlocked, so that when you run HardSPL and install arbitrary ROMs you have no risk of the above problem occurring.
I went with a), and simply ran HardSPL then installed Sleuth's ROM since it doesn't have a radio rom in it. This worked fine; it replaced all Orange's crappy customisations and works.
Solution a) is not what you are after though. You basically want to use a non-Orange SIM, which means you have to SIM unlock it. This doesn't require the use of any software like HardSPL or any ROM upgrades, but *does* require a 20 quid payment to some bloke (via the horrible paypal system, and apparently he wants a copy of your passport/ID for his safety, which ruled this out for me - I'm happy to pay 20 quid, but certainly not happy to be sending my passport details to men in the shadows). Here's his URL - apparently it takes minutes and is done online: www.imei-check.co.uk/kaiser-unlock.php
Hope that helps.
Thanks alot divert, that explains it well.
I take it that the same is true about T-mobile version as well?
I have bought my HTC TyTN II from Orange Netherlands and the ROM language is dutch... therefore I'm struggling to learn as much as possible from this forum how to change the ROM with a WWE one.
This thread is more closely to my situation and I dared to intervene...
So far I understood that first I have to install HardSPL to be able to change the dutch ROM. This is clear to me. Then I have to choose a ROM version (without Radio in it to avoid locking the SIM). Can you help me in this matter to suggest me a stable english ROM? (also the download link if is possible ).
Then I have to install this ROM. Considering that I never did this before I am a little bit afraid not to permanently damage the phone (is it possible?). Some things are not clear to me.
Do I have to dump my dutch ROM before I install the new one or not?
Is it possible to back up the dutch ROM and in case something goes wrong to restore it?
Is not knowing the dutch language a problem during the installation?
What is the simple and safest way to install the new ROM .. can you please have the patience to guide me step by step in this matter? I would really appreciate this...
Thank you!
Later edit: I can PayPal...

I've no idea roks, sorry. I didn't answer your question for a while as I thought someone who knew might. Perhaps they will. Maybe you need to start a new thread for the TMobile question, as this thread will be read primarily by those on Orange UK I'd guess.

As I said, I installed Sleuth's ROM, since that does not affect the radio. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343867 - he's put a download link there.
Someone else said that Dutty's Rom also does not affect the radio. Here's the thread for that one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=341879 - I have not tried it though, so I can't confirm. If an Orange UK user does try it, please post your results in this thread so that other people can be reassured it works.
Another user, kyphur, is keeping a nice list of current Kaiser ROMs here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343198 but it's not clear from that thread which ROMs don't affect the radio. I had to go and read the individual ROM threads to find out. I repeat, Sleuth's ROM does not affect the radio, and someone else tells me that Dutty's Rom doesn't either.

Do I have to dump my dutch ROM before I install the new one or not?
Is it possible to back up the dutch ROM and in case something goes wrong to restore it?

I did not back mine up, because I wasn't sure how to restore it, so I just took a risk (silly, really, but fortunately it all worked). Someone did put instructions on how to do all this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337066 but I was too lazy to do it.

Is not knowing the dutch language a problem during the installation?

I don't know anything about the Dutch Orange phones. I only know about the UK Orange phones from what I have read on the forum and from my own experiences. I can't confirm that Dutch Orange devices have the same SIM lock issue as UK Orange phones. Even if they don't, though, I'm reasonably sure the same upgrade process will be fine for you, as it only upgrades the Operating System (OS) ROM.
When I did the upgrade, all the instructions were in english and on the PC, not the phone. You don't need to read anything on the phone itself, so I would say no, the fact that the phone language is Dutch should not be an issue. I assume the hardware is the same (though perhaps you have a different keyboard layout, and I don't know enough about the OS to know if this is an issue). If someone else knows better, please say.

All I can tell you is what I did - remember this is for Orange UK TyTnII:
ORANGE UK TyTnII Rom Upgrade Steps:
First, try to read the Stickies at the top of this forum. Even if it doesn't make a lot of sense to you, there might be something important to you there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=378
Download Kaiser HardSPL and follow the instructions.
Here is the thread with the download link and instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334679
Download a ROM that only affects the OS. I used Sleuth's.
Here is the thread with the download link and instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343867
That's it. It's actually pretty simple despite sounding very scary. This is thanks to the clever people on this forum making these tools for us (thanks guys)

This thread is about changing the TyTnII Orange UK Rom, not SIM unlocking it. Nevertheless, your question was answered as part of post #7, which you should probably read.
In summary, there is currently no free solution to SIM unlock your Orange UK TyTnII. You can pay someone GBP 20 to do it for you: www.imei-check.co.uk/kaiser-unlock.php

ROM Flash - after SIM/CID unlock (IMEI-Check)

Just bought a cheap recon Orange E650 and now waiting for my code from IMEI-Check to SIM/CID unlock.
Forgive me for being a n00b but most of the flash guides assume that your phone is locked (therefore run a CID bypass etc).
Can anyone tell me which steps of the flash process I can avoid once I have unlocked the phone?
I wish to get rid of the Orange ROM and put on either the HTC original or Gonzo 6.1 ROM but want to avoid extra steps to reduce any chances of f**k ups
there are no steps which you can avoid.
SIM/CID unlock just make your phone able to use other sims.
But it will be still application locked and 3rd party rom locked.
so you have to follow the entire guide starting with the USPL.

I did exactly the same as you matey. Bought a cheap 650 and put an HTC ROM on it. Now i've got tomtom V6 on it (after a few slight probs!) but all in all, vey happy.
Just follow this link as i did but read it carefully ESPECIALLY the bit about copying file twards the end (FLASH SECTION, NUMBER 14). In all honesty, what you are sat waiting for to arrive isn't worth a toss. Just follow this thing as i did and you'll be cool
Steve
Official HTC ROM on
Got my file from IMEI-Check through & successfully unlocked the SIM/CID.
Now able to use Orange E650 with my O2 SIM
Took a gamble and downloaded the latest HTC ROM from the forum FTP site - wanted to test - if the phone is now CID unlocked then the ROM should work coz the ROM installer will think it is a HTC S710 not E650.
Ran the ROM upgrade took about 5-6 minutes to flash.
Phone then reboots - word of warning - it then takes about 5 minutes for the ROM to configure.
Don't panic like I did - staring at the Windows Mobile splash thinking I had bricked it! :-D
Now a de-branded E650 - did not have to run any USPL stuff etc.
However I am sure if I want to use a cooked ROM then I'll definitely follow all of the steps.
Phone is now quicker & no horrible Orange icons
Nice simple process - just hope HTC release the WM 6.1 upgrade for the Vox.
we all hope for the same....

[UPG]New and fastest way to SIM unlock your Elf/Elfin[ONLINE]

Not sure if this should be part of the other unlocking thread, but I've created another way to get the unlock code for the Elf/Elfin, and it's much faster. I've tested it on two phones so far.
1) First, unzip the contents of the attachment.
2) Then connect your Elf/Elfin to Activesync, and then run the unlocker.bat to get your unlock code (must be 8 digits).
As always, to unlock the phone, you need to first obtain a SIM card that is not from your provider. When you insert the card, it will ask for the SIM unlock code, so enter the code from my program. (You can test the SIM unlock by going on eBay and searching for "gsm sim card" - you can get them for very cheap.)
NOTE: If you're having issues running this in Windows Vista 64-bit edition, do this: Open Windows File Explorer, right-click on every EXE file in this archive, go to properties/compatibility, and then change compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 2). Then click Apply and run the unlocker.bat.
(Thanks Cyzeek!)
If the unlock code is not working for you: Please run the device_info.bat tool from this link. Look for the value called "MCC+MNC". Most likely your phone won't unlock with this solution because your MCC+MNC is None!
UPDATE 05/26/09: If the unlock code is not working for you, then follow the instructions here for another solution that might work. Thanks to zerostuff for finding it!!
If it still doesn't unlock, then you are out of luck and need to find a paid solution.

Thanks !!!!!!!!!
No luck unlocking

I've done what you've said and the program gives me my 8-digit code. But when I insert SIM and input the code it says incorrect. I've tried other programs from this site and the code that give me is always the same: 27615857. Please help me. Thanks in advance

I had this problem too in the past, I don't know how the unlock number worked a few months later. Do you have the stock ROM on it? Have you also tried hard reset? Even though the SIM code is in another area of the device from the OS, maybe there is some way it gets changed or gets accepted.
First, I want to thank you for the fast reply
I've haven't changed the ROM and after it doesn't unlock too. It says that I've entered wrong code 9 times, when I've tried to enter my unlock code for the first time they was 7 but I've entered it 2 times and this is it. If I change the ROM would the counter Reset and probably accept my code ?

That's a good suggestion. From what I remember, I tried to unlock using the stock Rogers ROM. Then I unlocked it while I had PDA Viet.
Let us know what happens.
OK I'll try. But how I must change the ROM
I have this HTC from yesterday and I don't understand anything about it.
If there is post with instructions for ROM changing it would be helpful

Read the sticky thread at the top of the forum and get these done:
1) Find your device ID (check my sig)
2) Back up your device (again, my sig) or obtain the shipped ROM for it (for warranty purpose or to unbrick)
3) Flash the latest USPL (see my sig)
4) Flash any cooked or dumped ROM (try not to flash any shipped ROM that is not from your provider yet)
Thanks for the fast guide But I have to DL 4 files from RAPID

Hehe that's life ;-) Do you have access to Rapidshare or do you need a mirror?
I can DL from Rapid but I'm using free user and I have limit on the count of DL-ed files, but if I change my IP I will be allowed to download again, right?

I didn't know there was a limit. But you can only download one at a time.
does the unlocker works with an touch xl (p3452) with original htc rom (provider austria a1) ?
I've done everything like you said. Now I'm with Rogers ROM and it doesn't want unlock. There is only one plus from the ROM changing - my HTC is in English, it was on Spanish before...
If you have other idea tell me to test

Actually I meant that I had attempted it while with the stock Rogers ROM and was unsuccessful. I got it going with PDA Viet.

You mean you already tried 9 times? Is it stuck at that screen? If so, remove the SIM and re-insert, and try again.
