Use Tasker to switch to GPRS when display OFF

Hi guys,
I've googled with no results and I've tried contacting the devs with no results.
I bought Tasker from the android market with one very important reason;
I want Tasker to turn off my 3G/HSDPA connection and have it switch to GPRS only when I turn the display OFF. And let it switch back to 3G/HSPDA when I turn the display back ON.
Is this even possible, if not what else are my possibilties?
I'm also after this, I currently have it switch off mobile data when screen off, but that's not exactly what I'd like as things like google talk get disabled altogether....just switching down to 3g or less would be great. So "bump" I guess!

[Q] Data Scheduler app CDMA

Hopefully this isn't as noobish as it sounds. I am looking for a very specific app, I need an app that turns my 3G network off and turns it on perhaps every hour, just long enough for my e-mail to sync, then turns it off again. I have tried juice defender, which I assume worked but I couldn't test it because it turned the data back on everytime the screen was on. Sometimes I just want my phone to receive texts and calls and leave the data (and the battery) for when I need it.
I found another app, that supposedly didn't turn the network off but changed some verification settings, this app didn't work (I could still browse the internet and refresh email.)
I currently use quick settings in order to quickly turn my data off, but I would like something that did it automatically.
Some help would be nice, if you need any more info let me know.

Auto Sync & Call Connection Issues

Hi, I have a question & an issue with my HTC Sensation.
Call Connection Issue
Sometimes when making a call, I hear no ring tone. The phone is silent for about 20 seconds until I hear a 'beep' and the phone disconnects. When I try calling again, I hear the ring tone. This is quite common for me. I used to have this problem with past HTC phones, although it was rare. It seems to be more common with the HTC Sensation. Anyone else have this problem, could it just be my network?
Auto Sync
Is there a way to make the phone auto synchronise, that is, automatically connect to the internet and sync? I have tried lots of settings to try and get it to do this but it will only synchronise when I have manually connected to the internet. I could probably leave WiFi/Mobile Web turned on but this would kill the battery; what I was thinking is that there could be a way for the WiFi/Mobile Web to automatically turn on every x minutes and synchronise, then turn off and repeat.
Thanks
I recommend you test for yourself if a persistent (unused) data connection requires more battery. That wasn't the case with my previous phone and I don't know why it should be the case with the Sensation. Of course, Wifi WILL drain your battery.

[Q] No signal notification

Ok, here’s my problem, I live in the country and my phone is constantly losing its connection to the network. Every time it loses the connection i suddenly get the notification/pop up asking me to connect to a network. It seems to be on a timer of roughly a minute. Is there any way to remove this pop up??? Or would it be possible to change the reminder time from 1 minute to 100. It is so frustrating as it interrupts whatever I am doing on the phone at the time.
All help appreciated and apologizes if this was asked before but I did spend a solid hour checking out the forums.

Anyone got any ideas at all? Its really annoying me. Cant use any apps because it keeps popping up

[Q] Stupid Wifi Question

So this is a rather embarassing to have to ask cayse its prolly so simple of a fix but my roomates GS4 Active constantly switches the Wifi on by itself even tho I've turned off every option including the obvious "Auto Connect" setting. As well as auto-scan. All to no avail. Even if I have the phone forget our home network it still pops the wifi on as soon as it detects wifI regardless of signal typw/properties. Any ideas? It's rather annoying and it's not even my phone but drives me crazy lol tho the fact that I know its gonna be a simple answer that I am apparently overlooking lol thank god for XDA!
