Want Bluetooth Fixed? - Call HTC Support 866-449-8358 - Touch Pro2 CDMA

Called Verizon today about the Bluetooth issues and they gave me the number for HTC Support (866) 449-8358. I called and advised many in the PPCGeeks, XDA, forum are having issues with the phone not hanging up, being unstable, etc. and the guy was skeptical. He then put me on hold and talked with someone else and said they know about the problem and have recreated it in the US office with several headsets. Explained about the switch to Widcomm stack, etc. but no fix.
He said the 6.5 update was coming soon and there would be no hot fixes until that came out.
Everyone that is having this problem please take 5 minutes and call HTC support and maybe this will help expedite a solution.

Club I-Mate

Sorry to bother anyone, just had a quick question that I have been unable to resolve.
I purchased an I-Mate PDA2K from eBay. The listing stated that it had only been used for three days. When I received it and checked it over, I tend to believe this.
However, when I try and register at Club I-Mate, it tells me that this device has already been registered.
I have tried to contact the seller to see if he would help me out, and he has ignored my emails.
If anyone has a "Work Around" or another idea, please send it my way.
Basically I just want to get to the files. I have found all of the ROM updates through this site, so maybe there is nothing else I need anyway!
This board is awesome, by the way, and I have really enjoyed reading what tips and tricks each of you have come up with.
Most operatures restrict there support sites to thier users only which makes sense if you think about it.
Its a shame that your seller has not modified his profile for you.
As a comunaty we have many users that check their operators siites for updates. These are then posted to wiki and a thread is opened.
In the case of I-mate you are in good hands. Check wiki for the work around. Its in plain text.

My email of disgust to HTC........

Like many of you I am now totally fed with HTC's lack of customer support. The content of my email shows that I have never received a reply from them in response to any of my emails. They were all posted through the official contact email form at http://member.htc.com/CustomerService/CS_Mail.aspx
This is my fifth (yes, 5th) email to you on this matter and you have not yet bothered to reply to me.
I am now disgusted with the (lack of) support offered by HTC and I will NEVER recommend HTC to anyone. How on Earth can you get away with simply ignoring your customers? This is no way to treat loyal customers who have purchased at least two other HTC devices in the past.
My original complaint related to the, by now, well reported missing video drivers issue on my Touch Cruise mobile phone. But, to be honest, that was more than seven months ago and I am now so disillusioned with HTC I am unlikely to ever purchase another device from you again for the followin greasons:- a) for completely failing to take my concerns seriously, b) for failing to deliver on promises made in various forums that a software fix would be released, and c) for failing to deliver a WM6.1 update for the Touch Cruise that HTC also promised to provide.
I usually, at this point in my emails, request a response from you but experience tells me that is unlikely to happen so I send this email simply in the hope that someone at HTC will at least read it and understand that your company is alienating many of its customers by simply ignoring their requests for support.

I will wait to see if this one gets a reply.
gadgetgaz is NOT holding his breath
EDIT: I just re-read this and wished I hadn't posted it but there is no option to delete. I posted in just after sending my email to HTC because I wanted someone, anyone, to understand how frustrating it is to be ignored. anyway, sorry for boring you with this
Hopefully your tantrum-email made you feel better, but you're beating a dead horse... Nothing will change, accept it and move on.
If you purchase an HTC-branded device not through your carrier, you are completely on your own support-wise. It's nice that HTC offers such a variety of handset choices, however, it would be better if they would also expand their support offerings.
seems to me you were a bit quick in the flaming process:
HTC is really working on a fix/update, and its expected in the next few days
That changes nothing on the fact that they never reply on a email on there official support line.
They have to change a lot here.

Yep, I tend to fire from the hip sometimes. I did say though that I realise I shouldn't have posted it.
Regarding the fix/update, I really, really hope I will be eating my words but I'll believe it when I see it!
Anyway, like Borizli says, my beef was about the failure to respond to simple email support requests rather than the driver issue.
Let's all keep out fingers crossed for an update that does what we are hoping for
I bet there are htc engineers and developers on this forum as well. And they should be long aware what we really need from their products. It's just the company policy and their management team don't put effort on it. To be honest, htc is still growing bigger and bigger with lack of support. it seems they can always get away with it.
Useless
you can write thousand e-mails and you'll never receive a "intelligent" reply.
The strategy of HTC is to develop new PDA's without take care of the previous one.

My sincerest apologies for not doing a search...

Ello HTC folks,
I am coming in my sisters behalf because she is having some probs with her Inspire.
For some reason whenever she sends or receives a pic it delivers as a teenie weenie thumbnail view. She has skimmed over several posts on various programs that I believe are market based but has had no results for the fix.
I myself am part of the Samsung Vibrant community and am rooted and running a custom rom (will never run stock again)
My ultimate question is this...
Would it just be a whole lot simpler to root and flash a custom rom for her? will that cure her problem? or is the mms issue more complex than that?
My initial advice was for her to just take the phone back for a warranty exchange but unfortunately that is not an option.
She is using a prepaid plan through T mobile and got the Inspire at one of those "we sell all phones" places.
Whenever she calls T mobile they say "the Inspire is an ATT phone....call them"
Whenever she calls ATT they say "your using T mobile...call them"
Now being as though she isn't very tecnical savvy when it comes to this sort of thing I will be the one that undergo's the whole rooting process for her, I have already skimmed over several processes for the rooting/flashing and it looks simple enough, but i'm still left to question if it will cure the problem or not.
Thanx in advance for all of your input and advice
Most likely this thread will be closed soon as others on the same topic were. But I will answer your question and you should search for the topics next time.
The phone is an ATT phone. T-mobile's network is the issue. If the phone is non T-mobile, the network will only send small pics. Yes you will need to root it and make the phone appear to the T-mobile network as a T-mobile branded phone.
This has been covered many times. A search would have told you that ATT phones on Tmobiles network has mms issues. A search will lead you to the fixes you are after if there is one

HTC officially acknowledges wifi issue (but not push email issue) on AT&T One X

Several days ago I emailed HTC support (and encouraged several of you to do the same) about the wifi and push email issues. With respect to wifi, here is HTC's response:
I would be glad to assist you with the email push and wifi connection issues your having with your One X. In regards to the wifi issue your running into, this is currently an issue that has been brought to our attention and we are actively working on a fix for this. We don't have an ETA on the release of the fix yet, but we do have a work around in the meanwhile of toggling the wifi connection on the phone for a few seconds then toggling it back on. This will reset the connection from the phone to the Wifi, make it grab a new address and it should work for a while.

With respect to the push email issue, the support person asked me some additional questions about the issue, but did not say that it is a known issue. I will respond to his questions, but again, those of you that are having push email problems should email HTC support from HTC's webpage and report this issue. They will never acknowledge that something is an issue unless dozens of people email to report it.
Thanks for sharing. You did see the WiFi Fix thread in the developer (I think) section, right? Mine is working much better now.

Notifications after deep sleep not working

gmail and other email clients notifications do not work after the phone has been unused for a while, I'm wondering if this at all is related to a deep sleep problem? Quite frustrating, have tried different email clients, some work and some don't, I'm at a loss here coming from the blackberry world where email is push and always works.
same thing with me. saw a similar thread on android central forums but no answer. i have a gold 32gb sprint. what model do u have
I responded to your thread, I have created a few threads all over with this issue. Call Samsung so they get more cases and push this to get fixed sooner than later, I have spent countless hours with ATT and Samsung on this issue. They finally admit this is a problem but how soon it gets resolved is determined by the number of complaints. So the more people complain about this bug the sooner you can expect a fix.
