Hi all..
I am at a loss.. I am a GSM guy and not too familiar with CDMA stuff.. Right now Cricket is running a special where one can get unlimited talk & Txt for $25/mo... That would be perfect for my son... I went to the local cricket store to talk to the sales rep (he wasn't that knowledgeable it seemed).. but he said in our market I need a tri-band phone to work.. I am inthe Milwaukee/Chicago Region.. Anyone know the story here? I don;t want to but a Touch PRo ot Touch, flash it, and then find out it won;t work... Thanks in advance

I flashed the htc pro 2 from sprint to metropcs. i can call 611 to metro customer service. metropcs can not activate phone because imei is invalid or the esn is invalid. need help to activate it. thanks.
Yeah that is metro for you. Metro won't activate a phone that they themselves can't through houdini.
Go to craigslist and find someone who owns a store and could do it for you.
Here is a list of providers that can help, courtesy of berry_lthird of howardsforum

And yes, you can successfully use the Touch Pro2 on Metro PCS...
Good luck bro.

"bad ESN" flash fascinate to metro
I am having the same problem anyone know of shop here in Jax FL that can help me activate my Samsung I500 on metro?
I was not able to find a thread showing the steps on how to flash to metro. I already unlocked my cdma and I am going to put Myghtyrom 032310. How can I flashed to metro without having to go to a Metro store? Oh, I forgat to mention that I already have an old samsung connected to metro, so do I need to do what is called, clone the phone? If so, how? Thanks in advance:
find a store locally that flashes blackberrys and have them add your TP2 ESN to the metro network and activate it onto your account. I paid $150 in Orlando FL to have them add the ESN after I flashed the phone to Metros network myself. U will have to go to a store to have it done legit. BTW i dont think anyone is gonna help u clone a phone because that is illegal

You need to pay a Metro store to have the ESN added.
As the prior member stated, cloning is illegal and not supported.
Some people will advise you to go to a metro pcs corporate store...but 90% of the time- they either don't know how or don't want to. Your best bet is finding a dealer store... I found one on craigslist in my area. It is legit. Metro store reps aren't trained well. The dealer i found-flashed it and added the ESN for me.
You can also try this online services that will do it for you...
This site is reputable- found many ppcgeeks members recommend it.

for $65, you get WEB,PIC,GPS,TET,APP
well go clone phones then smartypants
No need to clone smartphones to metro. Waste of money and NOT worth the trouble. You can flash it yourself and then take it to a store that will add the ESN onto metro's network. I flashed my HTC Mogul myself.
Here is a link to howardforums listing the agents tha will help add your ESN onto metro's inventory. Credit: Berry_lthird http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1496674
Here is Berry's post to help beginners on how to flash to metro...a must read to understand the process...

I have a need for help:
I have a EVO 3D (not a year old, not insurance) that die, can't star, I mean! dead, I don't have insurance, I am a year into the contract, quit working, got really hot yesterday, and this morning won't start (3/5/12). some one let me a Samsung S from Verizon, I call Sprint (they just to) if they could flush it from Verizon to Sprint, but they said no!
Any suggestions are very welcome, I don't have a phone at the moment, and I can't buy one, has any one have a way to use this Verizon phone (Samsung S) to make it work on Sprint?
Thanks
PS. if this is in the wrong place SORRY!
Let me also stress this thought, I am not very familiar with some of the terms you are going to replay, and I haven't done any thing of this nature, so if you suggest something, keep that in mind. I am eager but limited in knowledge.
you can only flash phones from sprint and verizon to boost, metro pcs and cricket...those are the only ones I heard of. You cant flash sprint to verizon and vice versa.
It is possible but wont be easy. Search around a bit. There are some threads on how to flash phones to boost and virgin mobile which will have a somewhat similar process for sprint.
flush phone
Expand on you replay please?
Remember I have a Samsung S (Verizon) that I like to convert or flush to sprint.
thanks

Like i said browse xda and other sites regarding flashing cdma phones. You will need tools like dfs cdma, qpst, and others to change the phones meid, mdn, aaa and ha keys and adresses, etc. Its not as simple as flashing a rom. You need to pull all the old value off the evo to flash to the samsung.
Also stop saying flush, its flash.

I really needs some help. Didn't think it would be so hard. My girlfriend put her phone on Cricket to pay less. Now she wants to come back to verizon because her service was terrible. I've been looking at CDMA flashing tools but I am clueless when it comes to how to use it.
Anyone with any answers, Thanks in advance.
