I was not able to find a thread showing the steps on how to flash to metro. I already unlocked my cdma and I am going to put Myghtyrom 032310. How can I flashed to metro without having to go to a Metro store? Oh, I forgat to mention that I already have an old samsung connected to metro, so do I need to do what is called, clone the phone? If so, how? Thanks in advance:
find a store locally that flashes blackberrys and have them add your TP2 ESN to the metro network and activate it onto your account. I paid $150 in Orlando FL to have them add the ESN after I flashed the phone to Metros network myself. U will have to go to a store to have it done legit. BTW i dont think anyone is gonna help u clone a phone because that is illegal

You need to pay a Metro store to have the ESN added.
As the prior member stated, cloning is illegal and not supported.
Some people will advise you to go to a metro pcs corporate store...but 90% of the time- they either don't know how or don't want to. Your best bet is finding a dealer store... I found one on craigslist in my area. It is legit. Metro store reps aren't trained well. The dealer i found-flashed it and added the ESN for me.
You can also try this online services that will do it for you...
This site is reputable- found many ppcgeeks members recommend it.

for $65, you get WEB,PIC,GPS,TET,APP
well go clone phones then smartypants
No need to clone smartphones to metro. Waste of money and NOT worth the trouble. You can flash it yourself and then take it to a store that will add the ESN onto metro's network. I flashed my HTC Mogul myself.
Here is a link to howardforums listing the agents tha will help add your ESN onto metro's inventory. Credit: Berry_lthird http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1496674

i'm confused? the title of this thread says flashing sprint tp2, then when we open the thread you are talking about a mogul. If you have mogul questions you should place them there instead of the tp2 thread. I don't know how to help that problem, but placing the question in the correct thread is definitely where to begin.
yes
i am using the mogul on metro pcs but i just bought a sprint touch pro 2 and would like to use it instead of the mogul... the TP2 is a damn fine phone.
Here is the forum for CDMA Rhodiums. It doesn't seem that Hard-spl, much less unlocking, is anywhere near ready for the CDMA Rhodium yet, though. So you'll have to wait awhile. But once a Hard-spl and unlocker is released, it would be released there.

ok i understand. I too have a tp2 and love it. Unfortuantely the hspl isn't ready for the tp2 yet so no custom roms can be made. the hspl is the unlocker for the phone, without that no changes can be made.
I dont think some people realize what your asking... basically people think unlocking the phone means adding a new rom onto the phone.. you dont need a hardspl to put a phone on metro's service... Long story short.. until houdinisoft supports the TP2 your out of luck... i had a TP flashed on metro and thats the latest htc phone they support right now.. i'd keep on checking houdinisoft.com(thats who metro goes thru to reprovision the phone) to see if they'll update there support for more phones in the future.

You are correct, with that software you don't need hspl. But with hspl you don't need that software. HSPL will more then likely be out before that software is out. the tp2 has already been shipped to cmonex and i'm almost certain cmonex will crack that phone before that software website is updated. More then likely that software website uses the hspl to do whatever is they do, but that is only a guess.
Ok so time to move this thread to the right forum, it doesnt belong here with all the gsm Touch Pro 2
So what is metro? CDMA service like sprint? I am confused what that person really wants here...

Yeah - MetroPCS. Primarily down in the south as far as I know. I know it's pretty big in south Florida (from what I saw).

Metro
Yeah, metro is basically the same service as sprint. more or less rented towers from them. they use the same technology, but they keep it dumbed down and make their phone OS's either out of java, or for smartphones some sense of symbian.
I have been using the TP2 with metro pcs for a while now... prob a week after I started this thread. The proccess for flashing the phone is the same as the Sprint Mogul. The only thing that will cost you money is finding a store that ca add ESNs to the Metro network. I found a store in Orlando that flashes CDMA blackberrys to metro and they seem to be able to add the ESNs. When I brought them the phone they said no problem, what kind of phone is this? I just said touch pro, not touch pro 2. When they called to have the ESN added he just gave them the imei # and presto- phone has worked great ever since- Phone, text, and full web. no MMS though, but I really dont care about sending pics.
-Last night I updated to the Official Sprint Win Mo 6.5 because there was a known bug with the version that came on the phone that would make the dates come up as 2016. After installing the new OS I can not change the modem settings to access the internet. So if you are trying to do this, and you want to be able to access the web, then do not install the update to 6.5, unless of course you are using a custom rom
I've already tryed doing the boost mobile method from a video on youtube using all the settings from that but using my lg rumor touch info (esn and phone number) and changing the prl but that didnt work. So can any tell me what to do step by step plz? Because I have already google everywhere but i found no answers and most of the answers i found were old and outdated.
I've been wondering the same thing, with the possibility of T-mobile going out of the picture I have to think about what carrier to switch to in the future and Virgin Mobile's $25 is good enough for me, who knows maybe by the time T-Mobile is gone there will be the possibility of flashing a Galaxy S2 to use with Virgin Mobile, does any one know if it can be done with the epic 4G?
Also for those who are wondering if this is legal or not, it is as long as you own the Virgin mobile phone that you are getting the ESN from.
Are people not answering because you offer these services for a charge? I've seen a few businesses that say "we flash phones" so if that's the case, could you at least say if its possible? I wouldn't mind paying.

Virgin Mobile TOS states you can not use a phone from any other carrier on their network.

Its perfectly "legal" to violate anyone's TOS... Well, except for the TOS you agree to going into the millitary.... And I, for one, was not made aware of that rule until I had already purchased a device to use with their service (they do allow it in other virgin markets) So, now I feel like they deceived me in not publishing that tidbit, and refusing to cooperate in getting me a refund from Virgin LTD for the device I'm not allowed to use here...
Besides, ya can always pay a tech to go in to p2k (they still have real-time access in some centers) and add any MEID / ESN that you might want, then it becomes a device from them...
I am interested too if this can be done
Hey all. known of the forum for quite some time, but never posted. So, i guess ill just ask. I have a north american (if it matters) verizon samsung galaxy s lll. I recently canceled my verizon account for obvious reasons. Anyway, where i live we have a carrier called virgin mobile. They run off sprints and verizons towers from what i've been told. I'm pretty savvy so i was wondering if i could simply unlock this and use it through virgin. I know how to root if I have to so that wont be a problem. Just a simple yes or no and the easiest most successful way at accomplishing this is all that will be needed. Thank you guys for reading, and thanks in advance for your help. Great forum:good:
I would call Virgin Mobile.

I am going to have to say NO.
Virgin Mobile uses Sprint's network. You cannot use Sprint on Verizon, Verizon on Sprint. Different CDMA. In theory, you could use a Sprint GS3 on Virgin Mobile, but it is not a guarantee either.
Usually it involves getting a donor phone on Virgin, pulling the appropriate info(meid, keys, etc..),& cloning to the phone you want service on. In some states, cloning esn is illegal, so I doubt anyone here will help you.
PS, the above info I got was available through a google search
So I have a BRAND NEW, CLEAN, IMEI for this Sprint GS5. It is NOT stolen, or anything in that nature.
I have service with a company called i-wireless that runs off of Sprints 4G Network. Just type "i wireless sprint network byod" into Google to find this, Im new so it wont let me post actual links until i have done 10 posts, sorry <<
When I got the Sprint GS5, my every intention was to activate it on my i-wireless account with their "Bring Your Own Sprint Device (also known as BYOSD)" Program.
Well, come to find out, Sprint actually BLACKLISTS their newly launched devices from being activated by their MVNOs (mobile virtual network operator) such as i-wireless, FOR 1 YEAR FROM THE LAUNCH DATE OF THE DEVICE!!!!! Very Very Frustrating! To find it in google type " prepaidphonenews dot com banned phones tracking sprints blacklist:" sorry not being able to provide actual link.
I do not wish to do anything illegal. My question is:
My device is currently blacklisted from being activated by Sprints MVNOs, is there anyway to remove my device from this blacklist?
I'm not sure if unlocking my device would remove it from the blacklist, or what I can do to remove it manually. My device is brand spanking new, never once been activated on a sprint account or anything.
I am open to any ideas, other than changing my IMEI because, well, its a clean IMEI. Its blacklisted cause its fresh in the market, to put it simply.
I am kinda tech savvy when it come to phones & computers, but honestly I have been on Google non stop for days only to be left hopeless on finding any sort of resolution.
Any Help in the right direction would be so greatly appreciated, please & thank you!
Morgan

My guess if Samsung or Sprint will not do anything then there is nothing you can really do...Could always try something other than i-wireless not sure what other places that will allow you to BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)

This so called "Blacklist" is just a list of current IMEI/MEID numbers of current new sprint devices. Theres no unlocking, or anything you can do. Not legally anyhow, And from what ive heard the illegal way some used to use, now renders the S5 to have NO SIGNAL after doing so, so that would seem to be pointless as well lol. All you can do is either sell the device and recoup your money, or wait the year. I was in this boat when the Evo 4g came out and i wanted to use it on Boost lol. Sucks, but it is what it is. IF they didnt do thtis, people would just buy up the phones and use them on prepaid carriers in most cases causing sprint to lose revenue in the long run.
Good luck, sorry you found yourself in this situation as many (including myself) have.
I purchased a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5 from someone who isn't longer reachable on Craigslist, unfortunately they got one over on me, it's blacklisted however I contacted T-Mobile & it was due to non payment but there still isn't anything they can do nor I can do.
To my question, is there anything I can do to fix the issue so I can use it.
I currently have metro pcs, if I were to get it unlocked would it then work?
Help me please!
Thanks in advance,
Joanna

If you were to use it on a non-tmobile network (att, straight talk on att, etc) yes. Just none that use tmo network.
I don't know why T-Mobile doesn't do it, but when I has Verizon and the same thing happened to me, they have me an option to pay the balance due on the device and use it. I didn't, they wanted way to much money. But the option was there.

Unfortunately the information that was provided to you was to the best of my knowledge incorrect. Due to the fact that T-mobile owns Metro PCS it would not be usable even if you unlocked the device. All of the GSM carriers in the U.S share blacklists now and a device cannot be unlocked and taken over to another carrier. I have had this happen to me previously before. A word of advice for all future craigslist transactions call customer care and ask if there is a remaining EIP or Lease balance on the device you are looking to purchase. The individual you are purchasing the device from will have to verify their account and get the information for you but this is the quickest and easiest way to avoid a scam.
If the phone is good and working without a confirmed balance make sure before you leave you make a phone call or two to register the device to your account to somewhat avoid a loss/theft claim as well. If you want to go a step further in ensuring that the device you just bought stays non-listed as lost or stolen complete the IMEI change during the same conversation as the balance inquiry and make sure the representative notates your account that the phone has been purchased from said individual. If they somehow manage to make a claim after that all they will have to do is look at the notes and they will see that both accounts were verified during the process and 9/10 times unlock the device again.
This has happened to me more times than I would like to admit and those are some of the things i have dont to really cover myself in the case of a scam.
I wish you the best of luck with future purchases and sorry for what happened!!
