OMG, thats really bad news I red today! Smart1 will not release a v3! Your WM6 v2 is close to perfect, just some small bugs left to perfection. Whatever may happen, I wanna thank you for this first: GOOD WORK!!!
I may not have posted alot until now, since I prefer reading first, digging into it, then posting. I´m still pretty new to PPC world (compared to those who live in here..), and I don´t want to spam and pollute.
Now someone asked for list of bugs in smart1 WM6 v2 to fix them / cook a new ROM based on it, so I step in because these bugs are something I know about - sadly.
Maybe you smart1 could give all the files needed to build it to him, to make shure things dont get messed up on rebuilding? Don´t know how this is handled in here.
BUGLIST:
Bugs I have myself & they are confirmed:
- Backlight switches OFF after Softreset (really bad at night..)
- PIN to access device gets corrupted on Softresets (-> cant use device with PIN enabled edit: Installing radio ROM 2.61.29 has been reported to fix this bug, I will NOT test this.)
- Email Password gets lost after SoftReset (reenter on boot)
- IR not working (did not check manual reg fix avail.)
- WLAN in Comm Manager does not always switch ON/OFF propper, does not switch ON after several tries
- Delay of 0.5-1 sec on most Softkeys (1/2, Green, Red) + 1 & 2 cant be reasigned without problems (cab)
- second incoming calls screen never appear + no missed calls record in call history. (never tried, but as workaround I suggest disablin the feature at your cellular provider. edit: Installing radio ROM 2.61.29 has been reported to fix this bug, I will test this.)
- GRPS Connections do not intialize propper after Softreset. After opening Connection Settings once (like editing them, then OK) all works fine until next Softreset.
- Links inside emails produce an error
Bugs I dont have myself but confirmed
- Earphone speaker too loud eventhough already set to the lowest volume. Mic volume too soft as claimed by other party during conversation. (fine here, maybe depending on G3/4 or model)
- Incoming MMS does not work.Outgoing does work. (Cant confirm, hate $$$ MMS)
- the HW buttons (green and red) have a lag sometimes, or dont respond too well while using the dialer.
Bugs I have myself but not shure if confirmed:
- Could not get Internet Telephonie (SIP) working, may be wrong settings
- Sometimes dialing a contact does not work (from some views/windows). Will check the circumstances
Bugs some people have but not confirmed so far:
- MobileCalculator.exe not starting (works fine here)
- Pocket Outlook (Messages) does not start after a while (had this once, guess its some inteference with other soft)
- If you want to mark a task as complete or make a new task, you receive an error "not enough memory to complete the task, etc". If you click on complete (left button below screen), it marks the task as complete, but when you leave the application the task is not gone. When you enter tasks again, the task is still there.This happens too in the pdamobiz v1.00 rom. (I can not confirm this at all.)
- the HW buttons (green and red) have a lag sometimes, or dont respond too well while using the dialer. (not completly wrong, in general sofkeys lag)
- System sounds (click, msgbox etc) go off sometimes, a soft reset gets them back (had once, someone else confim please)
from 18.04.07:
- Display is not kept opp when pressing the power-button slightly once. Some program forces it to turn on back-light, which makes the touch-screen active again. Active touch-screen in a pocket is a very bad combination (I dont get this. Get opp?? Why not just lock device or use Mortsaver)
- The phone turns itself on frequently throughout the day when you have an Exchange email account. This is confirmed after a hard reset, and doesn't happen until the Exchange account is entered. (Guess Mortsaver could be used as workaround as long as not fixed.)
- BUG: The text or font cannot be changed in Outlook Mobile. Attempting to change the size of the text to bigger or smaller does nothing. (Uhm, does WM 6 support HTML mails at all? I don´t need it, if i need formated text i attach it)
- Ringing disappear from time to time (not sms). Screen still go on from time to time when display off(even on a clean hardreset).
(BTW; Since i have SmartV2, the extended rom does not install automatically.
I Confirm these bugs:

- Everybody reads the whole tread before he / she starts posting
- Everybody thinks twice before posting if the post matches the topic
(Smart1 v2 Bug Collection - not: How to flash ROM or Please add finnish language.)
- Everybody posts bugs that are not already known .
- Everybody confirms bugs if they where not confirmed once
- Everybody falsifies bugs if they do not appear on their device
- Everybody posts tested solutions to confirmed bugs
- Nobody posts requests or problems with flashing or any other BS
- Nobody quotes complete posts just to add a single line
I will read this tread and update this post to collect all known bugs into this single post. I hope some mods keep an eye on this tread and keep it clean from "I have a problem and I am to lazy to read - PLEEEASE HELP ASAP" posts. Excuse me if this sounds a bit rude, but I just red trough 90 pages of the smart1 tread....
Even if we can`t cook ourselfs we can still judge the taste...

Problems happened to my prophet

Bug with tasks?
I have only one complaint and this is about tasks.
If I want to mark a task as complete or make a new task, I receive an error "not enough memory to complete the task, etc". If you click on complete (left button below screen), it marks the task as complete, but when you leave the application the task is not gone. When you enter tasks again, the task is still there.This happens too in the pdamobiz v1.00 rom.
I don't know if this could help others.. I had the same problems as you other guys in this thread with the phone part. (No missed calls list, PIN to access device gets corrupted on Softresets).
If i then flashed firts to NVID of WM5 rom, then to Smart1's WM6 V2 and after that i flashed to the radio rom of version 2.61.29.. Then those problems dissapeared for me.. I have a full call history list, and the phone does ask me for PIN everytime i soft reset! I haven't had these problems at all after i did this.

I can confirm that! I have the same problem!
Grt Rom, just a few glitches.
1) the HW buttons (green and red) have a lag sometimes, or dont respond too well while using the dialer.
2) System sounds (click, msgbox etc) go off sometimes, a soft reset gets them back
Can live with the above 2 problems, other than that i think its a fabulous rom, quite slick and quick. Hope someone can pick up where Smart1 left off.
Turns itself on with an Exchange email account
OK. Scratch the title of this post.
The problem exists when a PIN is used with the 'Lock' applet in Settings -> Personal -> Lock. When you have a PIN set to be required at startup, the phone will at times turn on by itself. Also, if you let the phone sit by itself for a few minutes, you will be able to turn it on with the 'end call' button! I have repeated this after several hard resets with no apps installed.
I originally thought an Exchange account created this problem because my hosted Exchange provider requires a PIN to be setup for the phone to communicate with the Exchange server. But, I know the Exchange account has nothing to do with the problem.

Sometimes the phone does not ring as normal (sms do notify!), it displays only on screen without making any sound, not even vibration.
Happened once after weeks of usage:
SYNCRONIZING
Syncing with laptop not successfull. After all my calendar, contacts, to-do and task were deleted on unit. After that ActiveSync does not want to syncronize with phone anymore. Not even after deleting and creating a new partnership. The unit keep changing its ID; WM_Administrator1, 4, 6 etc.
Hardreset and reinstall of AS4.5 so far works.
GENERAL
*Display is not kept off when pressing the power-button slightly once. Some program forces it to turn on back-light, which makes the touch-screen active again. Active touch-screen in a pocket is a very bad combination. I dont use any exchange-account.
*Fast battery draining (tried every radio-rom, now running 2.07.20)

For me, this is the biggest drawback. Which apps do have installed, and have you tested them to determine which app might be involved in turning the device on by itself?
I have also noticed that I can even get the device to turn on with the end call button at times...
Do you have an Exchange email account?

Have not been able to reproduce contacts/calendar deletion via sync yet (it appeared after some weeks last time, fresh install now only 3 days)

If you find out something is not caused by the ROM itself (like Bongachalla just did), please edit your previous posts and delete these Bug reports.
As far as I understand Bongachalla had 4 Bugs (no MMS receiving, No Ringing from time to time, Sync deleted all contacts on PPC and Touchscreen activating by programs (check our Mortsaver for this btw.)).
Did all of these bugs disappear after your reinstall or what?
Please try to be exact with your bug reports and check if they appear with a clean installed ROM before you post them. Please search on board if there is a fix for them and post solution together with report if you find some. If you get any error message google it to find out what causes it.
This helps us all and raises the chances that someone will take the time to build a rom with bugs fixed. Thx.

Maybe you did read the original Smart1 tread, so you know he revived his S200 and announced release of v3 in the next weeks. So I guess its time to post any unknown bugs and confirm the known ones, so they can be fixed in this (I guess final)release.

Another bug not yeat reported
I've looked every where and didn't found anything related with this bug.
My sms just get erased from the Text Messages folder each time I do a soft reset.
using smart1_wm6_pp8mb_NEW.v2 and the Prophet_G3_G4_RadioRom_v2.61.21, followed the instructions and runned all the cabs in the extended_rom.
Did i do anything wrong or is this really a bug

You can't change it! If you reset with your stylus you will probably loose messages.
Use pxshut or similar or turn off (hold power for three seconds)
The reset hole is for emergencies only. This is discussed in great detail in the Fantastic 1.1 thread and the Smartv2 thread.

Flashed to AustinSync's big ROM, like it a lot, but I've got a Tilt and can't stand the video dialer - not that it doesn't look nice, but the AT&T version is so much handier... As soon as I bring up the keypad, it shows the last 3 calls AND I can scroll up and down the ENTIRE list of call history right there on that screen. Even better, I can also flip thru their Mobile, Home, TXT, etc by pressing left and right!
Only problem is I'm not sure if I need to install an actual dialer or it can be accomplished via a registry edit...
WM6 Default Dialer
Reg Key change.
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Security / Phone / Skin' and change the value of 'Enabled' from 1 to 0.
That will change the Dialer to the Default Windows Mobile 6 dialer. I like it better than the At&t and HTC dialers.

Last week , I installed - reinstalled - uninstalled ROM ( WWE3.03 and 3.04 ) about 5-6 times, and I has experienced other problems in the following list.
1. Sometimes , Someone call me and thay said the signal cut automatically.
I felt this was unusual , so I started to examine .I told my friend to call to my phone number , they said the signal cut after call out to my number. while my phone show up Light , like it is going to show "In Coming Call" , but no ringtone , no in coming call shown up...
2. I usually set to loudest sound . But with WWE3.04 , I need to turn of sound and Turn it on again to get loudest ringtone , everytime after restart ( soft-reset ) the phone.
3.Contacts list didn't show up until I touch some alphabet order to search.

No unlock keys in rom 3.04
The only working key is the power on/off key.. You can not turn on the screen after the phone is turned off by pressing any key other than the power on/off key.. And the icon in setting " unlock keys " is no longer present in rom wwe 3.04...
yes, Generation 9 doesn't support NoKeyLock, I hope G9.5 will support it...
I think the use "unlock keys" will automatically call so few people prefer to use . you should press power after the call ifwant.
I never use lock keypad when my pda's screen is off

Hi, I had the same problem but this happens mainly because of the SD problem for 04 roms. Please see if you have ringtones, pictures or UI like pointui or SPB installed in SD memory. You have to install all these in main memory and Point 1 is solved. Not sure about the point 2 and 3.
This is locker (screen and sometimes buttons) what i have made for myself.
It's alternative for S2U2 and windows screen lock.
Main features:
1. Lock screen and keys on wake up, but only when ambient light level low
2. Lock screen when any phone activity (dialing, talking, incoming call offering). Because proximity sensor works not very good.
3. Quick unlock without slide using double click on hardware Back button
4. Quick power off after resume if not unlocked
5. Adapted for Inesoft Phone (greate app for me because of customizing contact rings and custom names for phone fields of contacts)
Additional features:
1. Reminders for missed calls, unread sms messages
2. Screen off after call connected
3. Vibrate alerting during the call: connected, n-th second of talking
4. Alternative sms alerting (used by me for setup once and did not setup again after reflash
5. SMS patch utility replace of Zenyee disable Htc Messaging (white form appears on the screen for short time nervous me)
6. Auto redial if call dialing failed
7. Changing keyboard when stylus in/out (yep, i know that HD2 does not have stylus)
8. Simulate stylus out event for unlocking S2U2 with double click on hardware button Back

1. Settings changed only through registry

1. First stable build of this utility with good CAB install and uninstall (hope for this)

A pity none has still posted his feedback, so let me be the first.
1- great app: i use version 0.2 since a long time with great satisfaction (and now that Leo roms disables transcriber in SipMenu, HtcExtFun is the only way to recall it)
2- What did work in old version seems to work well in this one as well (i used only stylus in/out and missed calls/sms reminder)
3- On my device the new screen lock doesn't work. Maybe it's because i have a Blackstone and not a Leo? Anyway i run Manila 2.5.1921 (as Leo), and on resume after suspend the "screen locked" square is there. But not only i can normally use my screen (i can swipe across Manila tabs without problems), but trying to slide the slider nothing happens: the square is still there, the cursor doesn't move. It's a pity, because this was a great improvement (it works with the back double tap, but it's the only way [and i don't like it, since when in my pocket i often press keys]).
4- It's useless i post a screenshot since what appears is the same as in yours
5- Can i suggest you to post your app in "Dev&Hacking" forum? I never read this one since i don't have a Leo, and so only for chance did find you released a new improved version.
6- There are some undocumented reg values:
* HandleSmsPatch
* MaximizeVolumeTime
* LSensorOffValue (i suppose it's for light sensor?)
7- You have not documented that "ScreenLockWhenResumePowerOff"=dword:00000000 disables the poweroff timeout
8- A thing i don't like is that app add itself missing registry keys filling them with standard values. So i, on purpose, didn't add the AlertNewSmsScript and AlertNewSmsSound, but at first start the app did add them to registry.

I just tried your soft, which was cool but not the soft-locker I want.
So I wanted to unsintall ... damn! It doesn't work.
Whenever I try, I got that error message "can't register touch driver" (a window titled HtcExtFun Unsintall).
I try after deleting the startup link, and a softreset, so that the exe wasn't running ..
How can I proceed ?

I'm in the same case. I've already deleted all the corresponding keys in the reg but nothing else to do. I'm still stuck with that problem. And no way to reinstall it.
Edit : I used SK Tools software to clean all the registry and unused folders, and now it works.
Recently I bought a HTC HD2. Very nice phone and stuff, but some questions, wich I can't find in the instruction manual.
- In Contacts it display's the last name in front of the first name, can I switch it around?
- When I receive an sms, my phone only vibrates 3 times but doesn't give sound. But when I get an incoming phonecall it does give sound. What the?
- Is it possible to automatically make the phone turn on bluetooth when I put it in a charching dock? (and turn off again when I get it out the dock again)
- When I get a message, I click on "Messages" and then the message turns up wich I last read, not the message I last received, so I have to scroll up each time.
Sorry for my bad english and maybe some things can't on a HTC (last phone was an iPhone and this things were possible on my iPhone).

2) To put a ring and turn on or off the vibration when you receive an sms you just need to go to the preferences (the last icon in Manila) / the 3rd option (sound and screen) / go down to rings and click on the 3rd option (sounds and notifications (reminders, new messages, etc.) / than you choose the 2nd option (new messages, but you click on the name and not on the on/off - keep it ON) / than you can choose the ring from the list and if you want it or not to vibrate from on the top.
3) I have no idea, I never thought of this, but there might be an application that could do it, I just don't know any.
4) When I am in Manila and I want to go to the 1st message, then I just scroll left or right and then back to the message icon, and it starts from the beginning.
I hope this helped you a bit, and maybe someone else can fill in the blanks.
