On my Verizon Touch Pro 2 (TP2) running Windows Mobile 6.1, all day events appear one day early during daylight savings. Other events with a start and end time appear during their correct time. This bug has been reproduced on Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5 phones on Verizon and AT&T networks. I have reproduced this bug using Microsoft's Exchange server 2007 and Google's calendar server as the server source. All events causing this display bug were created on either Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010 or OWA or Firefox accessing Google's calendar. For example, if I create an all day event using OWA or Outlook on Friday March 19th 2010, after sync, it will display as an all day event on Thursday, March 18th on the TP2, while appearing on the correct date of Friday March 19th using OWA or Outlook.
If I create an all day even on my TP2 during daylight savings, after Activesync runs, it will display from 1am on the scheduled day till 1am the next day using OWA or Outlook. For example, if I schedule an all day event on Friday March 19th 2010 on my TP2, after it syncs, it will display as starting at 1am on Friday March 19th and ending at 1am on Saturday March 20th using OWA or Outlook. On the TP2, it will display correctly as an all day event on Friday March 19th.
Recurring events scheduled for a date such as the 2nd Tuesday do not display this bug. Events scheduled outside of daylight savings do not have this bug. I have tested this with and without the latest Windows Mobile DST patch dated Aug 2009.
Windows Mobile 6.5 emulator images that are part of the Windows Mobile SDK do not have this bug during my testing.
Anyone else experience this bug?
Yes ! I have this same problem on WM 6.5.3, but it happens all year, not just during Daylight Savings. I've checked the timezone set for my Outlook (2007), and that's fine.
visit microsoft site and download daylight savings fix for windows mobile (google search will find it), worth a try, it doesnt solve for all but for most.
Woo-hoo, that fixed it ! Thanks
kool,
MS if good for somethings

I do not sync normally with Outlook.. I am mostly self-contained on my Hermes, with backups. I say this b/c its possible these don't sync with Outlook either...
I was looking into other options, and found mail2web and signed up for the mail2weblive free acct.
I was able to sync to mail2web, but I noticed 2 cases of missing appts
- some exceptions to recurring (weekly) appts that I had moved (ie. normally I have something every Wed, but next Wed moved to next Mon.. the rest stayed on Wed).
- I had a 4-day all-day appt in July (trip).
Both of these did not show up on mail2web.
Wondering if they should have, or if that is just a limitation. And if so, if there any comparable (free or not) services that would not have this limitation.
Thanks,
Mike
After synching laptop to Tilt with Outlook 2007, the birthdate of people in the contacts shows up on the Tilt as one day earlier than the day recorded on the laptop. Anybody else experience this problem.
My problem is almost the same.
Flashed my BlueAngel to WM6.1 and now birthday and anniversary fields in Outlook XP and PocketOutlook (contacts and calendar) are set one day early.
The really funny part is, that in thunderbird (synced with birdiesync) I have the right dates in addressbook, but not in the lightning calendar as reminders.
Any solution for this?
Please check the timezone on your Laptop / PC and your phone.
ActiveSync changes appointments and other times based on the difference in timezones so they would actually appear "on time".
If there is a large enough difference between PC and Phone they may shift a whole day.
Also please avoid posting questions in the news forum. It is for news only!
A friend of mine who just got his G1 sms'd me that the only thing not good abt the Google calendar is that it will not do reminders for events that reoccur on different days each year.
Like Mother's Day (second Sunday in May) and Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November) or someone's payday (every third Thursday on a full moon or whatever.)
I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to make a program that'll allow this. Who's up to it?
This is not a G1 issue, it's a Google Calendar issue. Cal on G1 just parses the data in your Google Calendar account. What your problem is is getting events that recur on something other than a fixed date onto there. For holidays, simply add one of the public holiday calendars.
Hi everyone,
i'm experiencing problems with my Xperia X1 (WM6.1) when inviting somebody to an appointment (independent from which calendar i use). After setting up the appointment i'm inviting additional participants who are all using Outlook 2003 or 2007. But when they receive the invitation, the meeting time is not adopted correctly. Example: Today, it's february 1st. The meeting is scheduled to 4th of april. In my calendar the meeting is scheduled for the 4th of April but the participants get an appointment for the 1st of february. It's like I scheduled a meeting that starts right now. If the recipient also uses pocket outlook, everything seems to be fine.
I am not sure if this is a Xperia problem, therefore i postet it as a general question.
Is anyone able to reproduce this problem?
and up !
I have the same problem with my X1.
Same problem with HTC HD2. No solutions after more than a year?
Using a htc diamond (topaz) dutch OS with s2u2, but not sure the problem is due to the phone, to WM , to s2u2 or Touchflo.
Problem 1: all official holidays are 1 day early in the calendar (New Year on 31st december etc.)
Problem 2: all my contacts birthdays were changed to 1 day before (4th november became 3rd) BUT upcoming appointments are announced for the correct day... (so on the 3rd it says "tommorow birthday xxx"
Anyone else got similar problems or a solution?
