Date problem / Contacts changed - General Questions and Answers

Using a htc diamond (topaz) dutch OS with s2u2, but not sure the problem is due to the phone, to WM , to s2u2 or Touchflo.
Problem 1: all official holidays are 1 day early in the calendar (New Year on 31st december etc.)
Problem 2: all my contacts birthdays were changed to 1 day before (4th november became 3rd) BUT upcoming appointments are announced for the correct day... (so on the 3rd it says "tommorow birthday xxx"
Anyone else got similar problems or a solution?

Double Calendar Entries

I am a new user of the Qtek 2020 (a week now).
I was using another PPCPE 2002 device before this one for about a year so I am somewhat familiar with the OSs, but I have a problem with my device in the Calendar application, very bizarre and no searches have brought me the answer, so I am posting
When I am in the Month, Week or Year view and add a new appointment all works just fine after finishing with the OK button, but when I am in the Day view and add a new appointment and push OK to add it to the DB of appointments - on the screen are TWO identical appointments showing!
I cannot figure this out. If anyone has had the same, or knows of the solution - PLEASE post!
Thanks.
My device:
ROM Verion: 1.60.00WWE
ROM DATE: 12/03/03
Radio: 1.10.00
Protocol: 1337.18
ExtROM: 1.60.21
Double calender entries........me too.
yes am having the exact same problem. Any one with any solutions to this? Thanks.
Me too. With calendar plus installed..
i once had that problem but then i changed it in activesync so that conflicting items would force my xda to match my outlook and did another sync
and then set it back to combine conflicting things
and then it was all better
had the same thing with some of my contacts at a time
solved it the same way

Birthday reminder within WM6

Hello!
I am wondering if the birthday reminder in WM6 works good...
That means - in WM5 the birthdays are marked as a date with a reminder 15 minutes before it starts (globally settings).
E.g. somebody has birthday at the 5th of october, the Treo remindes me 23:45 at the 4th of october...
Is this fixed now at the WM6, that I can define (globally, not for each date) when the Treo reminds me for a birthday?
Or is this demanding Outlook 2007 or is there a function to globally change it?
It is really anoying in the evening/night that the Treo beeps - and normally during the next day I forget about the birthday...
Greetings and THX!

Same case with the HTC Touch!

Problems with calendar invitations, wrong day in Outlook 2003

Hi everyone,
i'm experiencing problems with my Xperia X1 (WM6.1) when inviting somebody to an appointment (independent from which calendar i use). After setting up the appointment i'm inviting additional participants who are all using Outlook 2003 or 2007. But when they receive the invitation, the meeting time is not adopted correctly. Example: Today, it's february 1st. The meeting is scheduled to 4th of april. In my calendar the meeting is scheduled for the 4th of April but the participants get an appointment for the 1st of february. It's like I scheduled a meeting that starts right now. If the recipient also uses pocket outlook, everything seems to be fine.
I am not sure if this is a Xperia problem, therefore i postet it as a general question.
Is anyone able to reproduce this problem?
and up !
I have the same problem with my X1.
Same problem with HTC HD2. No solutions after more than a year?

All day events appear one day early during daylight savings

On my Verizon Touch Pro 2 (TP2) running Windows Mobile 6.1, all day events appear one day early during daylight savings. Other events with a start and end time appear during their correct time. This bug has been reproduced on Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5 phones on Verizon and AT&T networks. I have reproduced this bug using Microsoft's Exchange server 2007 and Google's calendar server as the server source. All events causing this display bug were created on either Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010 or OWA or Firefox accessing Google's calendar. For example, if I create an all day event using OWA or Outlook on Friday March 19th 2010, after sync, it will display as an all day event on Thursday, March 18th on the TP2, while appearing on the correct date of Friday March 19th using OWA or Outlook.
If I create an all day even on my TP2 during daylight savings, after Activesync runs, it will display from 1am on the scheduled day till 1am the next day using OWA or Outlook. For example, if I schedule an all day event on Friday March 19th 2010 on my TP2, after it syncs, it will display as starting at 1am on Friday March 19th and ending at 1am on Saturday March 20th using OWA or Outlook. On the TP2, it will display correctly as an all day event on Friday March 19th.
Recurring events scheduled for a date such as the 2nd Tuesday do not display this bug. Events scheduled outside of daylight savings do not have this bug. I have tested this with and without the latest Windows Mobile DST patch dated Aug 2009.
Windows Mobile 6.5 emulator images that are part of the Windows Mobile SDK do not have this bug during my testing.
Anyone else experience this bug?
Yes ! I have this same problem on WM 6.5.3, but it happens all year, not just during Daylight Savings. I've checked the timezone set for my Outlook (2007), and that's fine.
visit microsoft site and download daylight savings fix for windows mobile (google search will find it), worth a try, it doesnt solve for all but for most.
Woo-hoo, that fixed it ! Thanks
kool,
MS if good for somethings

[Q] Windows Mobile 6.5/6.1 subsequent appointments hour

Hi,
this thing is driving me nuts. I've spent the last 20 hours trying to figure out how to make this simple setting.
The environment: TP1, WM 6.5 / 6.1
The problem: You open a stock WM calendar application. Lets suppose you have an appointment in the agenda view. You select the appointment (select with the arrow keys). Then, you want to create _a new_ appointment. But. You want this new appointment to occur _directly after_ the appointment you've selected earlier.
I've checked 9 ROMs (most Energy ROMs) with WM 6.5 and two ROMs with WM6.1 and only one ROM supported this feature. Now, maybe I'm exaggerating, but a 6.5 Windows version _should have a very simple thing like this one fixed_! God damn it!
The question: does anybody know a registry fix / a solution (adding subsequent appointments in agenda view; a new appointment will automatically get a start time after the first appointment ended).
I've searched/tried:
- the xda forum
- the ROMs (I have a list)
- used AgendaOne <- this program solves the issue
- used Pocket Informant <- latest 9.10 version doesn't fix the issue on WM 6.5, haven't (yet) checked on WM 6.1
Regards.
