Active Synch Outlook 2007 results in wrong birthday under contacts on Tilt - General Topics

After synching laptop to Tilt with Outlook 2007, the birthdate of people in the contacts shows up on the Tilt as one day earlier than the day recorded on the laptop. Anybody else experience this problem.

My problem is almost the same.
Flashed my BlueAngel to WM6.1 and now birthday and anniversary fields in Outlook XP and PocketOutlook (contacts and calendar) are set one day early.
The really funny part is, that in thunderbird (synced with birdiesync) I have the right dates in addressbook, but not in the lightning calendar as reminders.
Any solution for this?

Please check the timezone on your Laptop / PC and your phone.
ActiveSync changes appointments and other times based on the difference in timezones so they would actually appear "on time".
If there is a large enough difference between PC and Phone they may shift a whole day.

Windows Live contacts not synchronizing with Outlook (but I would like them to!)

I apologise if this is a FAQ - I've searched but only found a single reference to a similar problem. It was in the Trinity forum here and the fix listed didn't help me.
I recently upgraded my Hermes to WM6 with Windows Live version 10.6.0028.1100. I have the synchronize options set to sync email and contacts, merging duplicate contacts.
When I synchronized with Windows Live, it downloaded the email and put the contacts on the phone, but the Live contacts won't synchronize over to Outlook. I would like them to, if possible (unlike most people it seems, from the search results I got) - they did in the previous version of Windows Live that I was using with WM5.
I also tried creating a "Windows Live" contact on the phone itself, and that did not synchronize with Outlook either. Regular contacts do.
Is this a known issue? If anyone is better with the search than I am, I'd be grateful for any assistance.
Edit: I just deleted the Activesync pairing and re-paired, then resynchronized with Windows Live. It deleted all but 5 of my contacts from my Messenger list (the 5 that were new since I updated to the new version of Messenger and that weren't in Outlook) - OUCH!
I just downgraded to 10.6.0026.1400, which I heard could be more stable.
I still have the same issues though - many Live contacts in my phone not synchronising to Outlook on the desktop.
Any ideas?
Have you considered trying Microsoft Outlook Connector on your desktop? This will allow outlook to sync directly with windows live. I have been also looking into ways to sync outlook connector on my desktop with an exchange server so i have true direct-push e-mail along with contact and calendar syncing from windows live. If this appeals to you, let me know and we can start a thread for that!
Best,
MJB
Interesting, thanks for the information, I wasn't aware of Outlook Connector. I might give the latest beta a go if there's no longer a way to synchronise them directly from the phone.
So is the issue with Live contacts not automatically synchronising to Outlook on the desktop expected, then? If so, it must have changed from the earlier pre-WM6 betas.
to the best of my knowledge u need a paid hotmail account for outlook connector
You don't need a paid account for mail and contacts, only for the rest (such as calendar).
Although Outlook (at least 2002 and 2007) lets you synchronize live mail anyway, so that's not much of a bonus.

Synchronize device (WM 6.1) with 2 PCs via ActiveSync 4.5

Hallo,
I have a bg trouble. I have two notebooks. One at work (PC1) and one personal at home (PC2). I have looked for a solution how to get my contacts, tasks and notes from the notebook at work to my personal notebook. I use Micorost Outlook 2003 on both. And of course I will be able to work with my Outlook entries on both computers. I decided that I synchronize my HTC Kaiser with both computers.
The synchronization worked well with contacts and calendar entries. I suggest it. I have problems with tasks. I synchronized the Kaiser with PC2 and these happened - the reccuring entries got reminder dates reffering to the first due date. So i got for example a 114 weeks overdue task. I thougt that I change this at the PC2 and everything will be OK. But so i synchronized the same problem to PC1. And I have lost the completion in % information.
I do not know now where I have to do what to have the same tasks (title, due date, reminder date, completion) on PC1, PC2 and Pocket PC (here I lost also the reminder information). Can somebody help me please? How can I do it? :-(
And please, it is possible somehow to synchronize with 3 PCs?
Many thanks to everybody who wants me to help!!!

Windows Mobile 2003 SE - contacts birthday in calendar?

Hello everybody and a Happy New Year,
I would like to know if it's possible to automatically transfer (take over) the birthday dates of my contacts in the calendar as recurring events (reminders), to be able to display them on the "Today" screen. I would like to do this without additional software, if it's possible. I have the english version of Windows 2003 SE on my Dell Axim X30i PDA (firmware A05).
Thank you very much in advance for each advice!
Conrad-007
I know there is a program todo it, i'll have to find it tonight.... The main problem would be that i don't know if it supports wm 2003.....
Thank you for your reply. So you mean is not possible without an additional software? So in WM2003 the contacts birthday datas will not be automatically transfered in Calender as reccuring events?
There is a program called "darkannifalert" That says it will add alerts for contacts birthdays (i have never tried it but i imagine it does what it says ) No wm does not natively support adding birthdays to your calender. You can give the program a shot but it probably was made for wm5 and later (you're 3 versions of wm behind, so it will be a little harder to find 3rd party apps )
As far as I know, when you sync your PPC with Outlook, Outlook will create the Birthdays in Calendar and sync them back to your phone
"As far as I know, when you sync your PPC with Outlook, Outlook will create the Birthdays in Calendar and sync them back to your phone"
but...when I go to phone's calender ..view by month ...that day would not be highlighted ..but when i click into taht day ..the word who birthday appeal ..is normal to wm?

Birthday issue 2

I have a birthday issue. When I enter my birthday of 9-1-1949 in the Outlook 2007 contacts area it adds the birthday to the calendar correctly on my desktop computer. However, when I sync my Fuze with my computer and then open the calendar on the Fuze, it has put my birthday in the wrong place. On the Fuze my birthday shows up as January 1 in the calendar area. (It is correct in the contact area.) It's crazy. All other birthdays are correct. The same issue occured when I was using Outlook 2003. I purchased Outlook 2007 hoping to solve it, but it didn't. It must be an issue with the software on the FUZE, or a bug in the sync process.
If anyone knows how to correct it, I would appreciate your help. It's a small thing I realize, but frustrating.
Try creating the date on the device. It might be a sync issue rather than an issue with one or other of the software packages.
Thanks for the suggestion l3v5y. I created my birthday in the FUZE contacts profile. It didn't insert the birthday anywhere in my calendar. Any other ideas?

Help needed!!! problem with yearly recurrences and their synchronization

Hello, I experiencing problem with Pocket Outlook and MS Outlook 2007 synchronization. Problem is that appointments which has recurrence set to 1 year like birthdays, anniversaries ... are correctly transferred from PC -> PDA (when edited by MS Outlook 2007), but when I made some modification to such appointments in PDA with Pocket Outlook (for example changing reminder time, name, ...) then after next synchronization when changes from PDA -> PC were sent the 1 year recurrence is changed to 12 years!!! And the worst and most frustrating thing is that when I synchronizing between two PCs then all appointments with such settings are changed from 1 year to 12 years!!!. Maybe it should be 12 months I'm not sure. I'm using Windows XP with Outlook 2007 and ActiveSync 4.5. Is there some problem with configuration or it's a bug? Strange thing is that this problem is related only to yearly recurrences (at daily, weekly and monthly recurrences there is no problem).
I test it also after clean boot of my device and the problem still persist. I also have a chance to make a test with HP device where is WM6.1 but with the same behavior as WM5.0. So I think that this is a bug inside the Pocket Outlook or ActiveSync with handling yearly recurrences. Can somebody clarify it? Is it possible to get a fix for this?
Thanks for quick response.
