All ROM's have serious problems...
I have serious problems with all ROM's for example: -can't send MMS with MMS composer 3.5 so I've to install MMS Composer 4.8, that its happen in Jwright's and HELMI's ROM.
Equally, I can't use another Browser in a conection with WiFi, only IE, It to bad 'cause I prefer NetFront 3.5
In DarkForceTeam's ROM the Snap Vue be seen slighty in vertical position although in landscape posicion seen fine, works bad, equally MMS Composer 4.0 works bad and can't install another composer, although can use NetFront with WiFi conection, the WiFi signal bar don't works.
I've probe Ranju's ROM at this time and works fine, even have problems, it seems the better

My vote goes for..
I have tried ALL the WM6.1 ROMs but no ROM was able to fix my storage card's sleep problem..
I read wiki, tried all the fixes, tried Ranju's SD-fixes, tried to change the .dlls (drivers), tried registry tips & tricks, asked for help from our "XDA-Master Minds" but no one was able to help me out with this small issue. And I was not the only one.. there were few more users who had been in this problem as well and they switched back to WM6 or 5 because there was no fix found..
But finally I used 2.61.21 PV, dated 02/11/08 (a test ROM) and it solved my problem.. No halts, no crashes, its amazingly fast & no bugs at all. Device is performing like never before !
So my vote goes to "2.61.21 PV".

Last releses of PDAVIET are the best one, 100%

I think that you forgot to include one of the best ROMs, NNCUONG's v2.11.11 ROM (5.2.1933 Build 18533.0.7.1).

My vote goes to the BeastyLeo ROMs. they do have their flaws, but then again, every ROM does, and their ROMs have the fewest bugs still.

DarkForce 2.10.02 WWE better

I haven't done a great deal with my Universal yet to be honest. Tried a couple of ROMs and found that Thing On A Spring's ROM was the right balance of apps for me, although I did use the kitchen rather than his actual ROM, but that's only because I don't like setting up whenever I hard reset (which is traditionally too often if my previous/current devices are anything to go by).
Tried a couple of others but, without playing with them long enough to get stability properly assessed, had no problems with any ROM tbh. Thing's just had the least not-needed-ware for me. Runs lovely for me.
When I'm as au fait with Universal kitchen-use as I am with Hermes and Blue Angel I might find differently, I dunno.

GPS with full keyb support?

Hi,
Secondhand bluetooth gps recievers are dirt cheap, its possibble to get one for €20.
So i was thinking about searching a good software to use on my vox.
I know TomTom is popular and very good but its not actually made for the Smartphones and u have to mess with the FakeCursor.
Another one is route66 wich is also very good but does it support the full qwerty keyboard? That would be so easy to enter destination

Do a search for "eT9.Raphael.wwe.kmap.txt" and you should find the instructions on how to edit that file to get your characters on the keyboard.

Bruk disse 3 programmene her for og få norsktatstatur på TP'en din.
Installer "T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab" først.
reboot
installer "XDA JCEspi2005 Norwegian Input Raphael.cab"
og tilslutt installer "XDA JCEspi2005 Norwegian Raphael.cab"
Etter dette rebooter telefonen.
Deretter velger du onscreen tastaturet og trykker på den lille pilen ved siden av og velger norsk tatstatur og T9 layout.
Etter det har du norsk tastatur både på soft og hard keyboardet.

Does this work on touch hd?

Short story, the CABs rendered my HD2 useless for normal 7-bit alpha text input, while numbers and other characters works OK. Uninstall of the CABs didn't resolve the problem... :-(

Norwegian keyboard on touch pro 2 after flashing to ENG rom
First of all thanks to creator of energy ROM. Paypal donation on its way.
Problem: After using stock rom upgrade (the original HTC rom upgrade) i got following bugs after several reinstall and re-downloading.
1. Sluggish performance. Up to 10 seconds waiting only to flip screen.
2. Conference speaker was not working properly. Had to turn on and off during conservations if I should have a hope of the other person hearing me.
3. When phone went to snooze mode (turning off screen etc), I did not get any notifications until I pressed power button.
4. Frequent soft reset du to freeze. (at least twice a week).
Phone has been on the market for a while, and I am really surprised HTC told me to send it in instead of admitting this was a software problem. Want pirates to buy products? Make them right!!
Solution:
1. Use the HARDSPL thingy found in the touch pro 2 forum. This makes it possible to flash it with another rom. Read the beginners tutorial.
2. Find your wanted rom. And flash with the tools provided there. I higly recommend Energy rom
3. After some searching and testing I finally found a working fix to get norwegian keyboard, t9, and æøå on the hardware keyboard. Email me and I can send it to you. (I don't know how to post files here, but maybe Energy creator can post it on sticky thread for his rom? Install cab and soft reset.
Concratulations. You have extended your phone lifetime with 2-3 years, without the nagging features HTC provides the phone after being "old" on the market!

Swype
Hurrah, hurrah, finaly Swype seems to function on the HD2 with dutch language pack. Installed it and it worked immediately and flawless. The only remark i have so far is a lacking symbol on the returnkey. But thats a known issue with some versions and somewhere on this forum i saw a solution for that.

I love swype too, but are these included dutch dictionaries extensive? Does swype only recognize the most common words in the dutch language and not every single word? And how does this dictionary compare with slideit?

It didn't work with Artemis V29.1 NLD. But I've fixxed this by simple going to the Windows folder on your device memory and move the swype folder from Windows into Program Files, no soft reset required it will just work after that.
And good lord it even vibrates now!? This new Swype seems more accurate aswell! Thanks for this amazing release!!!
Edit: as stated before only problem is the return key has no logo, but I didn't even notice that at first
Edit 2: I've seen a rebuild .cab which contains the returnkey, perhaps you could cook this one in dutch?
Edit 3: Return key over here for people who desire it. Just paste in your swype folder.
Edit 4: I've also noticed not every letter lights up when pressing it but that's something small.
Edit 5: Every other function like pressing down keys to get a symbol works far better then in the previous release.

I found the same solution regarding the Enter key and copied it before creating a cab, but apparently it wasn't packaged in the cab. I'm rebuilding the cab today, see why it didn't include the Enter key... to be continued....

As far as I know, these are the original Dutch dictionaries, which are quite extensive. I haven't used SlideIT, so can't compare. It recognizes Dutch words which are most certainly not common, and it also proposes words which we don't use that often, but are apparently present in the dictionaries. Why don't you give it a try yourself? That'll probably be the best way to find out

I have used SlideIT and must say the Swype dictionairy gives much more accurate suggestions, and seems to have a far greater knowledge about some complicated words.
By the way, is there a possibility you can include English in this release, so I can post on the forums from my HD2 using Swype? :$

Nope, at least not for now. The version I'm using is English only (although there are other language files in the Swype dir), so I had to replace the English language files with Dutch.

It used to happen with the entire second row of letters, but now it seems to flash up again, perhaps I wasn't pressing hard enough :$

just what I thought screen problems it freeze
reset a few times but it does not work everything is freezing

I had TC installed from the beginning on my HTC Touch HD Blackstone and then on my HD2. Worked without any freeze and crash
The general problem here in Austria was that almost nobody phones by "terrestric" phone anymore but only cellular and 19 of 20 numbers were not recognized/shown by TC, Highest hit rate was A1-provider with 50 % (+43664xxxx), no hits at all with Orange (+436991xxxxx), and other minor providers (Hutchinson "3", Yesss, etc.)
So I uninstalled TC because I needed some free mem on my HD2.
Does TC 2.0 now have access to ALL cellphone-providers data from callers (e.g. in Austria ?)?
Would be a reason to reinstall TC .......

I'm happy to hear your reconcidering using TrueCaller again!
Unfortunately we do not have very good data coverage in austria yet... if you could point me to a directory service which is better than herold then we would gladly try to use them instead!
BTW... According to our statistics we should be able to return data for 20% of the calls in Austria so maybe indeed there has been an improvement since last time you used it. Of course, with Caller ID+ these stats will improve much more over time too

Also, if you have access to wifi, TrueCaller works over wifi as well

I got the message: Connection Error. Truecaller needs a Internet connection to work.
Privious version 1.3 did work. My Internet connection is ok.

*Overlay still fights with HTC Sense - The information box is blinking
This makes it hard to slide the answer Button.
*Black list is still not working.
And there is a new one. The program crashes and I get a error message
"An unexpected error in TrueCaller.exe."
Here is the error message (it's in Swedish)

I bought the program for awhile ago and never got it working as i should. At firs I got disappointed and wanted my money back. But now, I'm really hoping that some day TrueCaller will work with my devise.

I bought the program for awhile ago and never got it working as i should. At firs I got disappointed and wanted my money back. But now, I'm really hoping that some day TrueCaller will work with my devise.

The blinking problem is unfortunately nothing we can fix since HTC Sense is really fighting us to stay on top as well... But the blacklist not working is something we will have to look into. Please let me know your registerid which you will find under settings in a PM together with your email address. Vi fixar detta!
