One button for BT on-off - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

I'm looking for a program for switch on and off the bluetooth with one button. I used the "BTOnOff.exe" all my pda, but it doesn't work on HD2. Any idea?

Stange. I installed to the main memory and SR but it didin't work for me!

Try this one, works fine for me. Create a shortcut to it, and then you may want to use an icon setting app (like sk shortcut manager) to change the icon to a nice bluetooth thingy, I did.

Thanx for this one, works great

Ok now, I found a way to implement a Bluetooth Toggle Softkey.
This is how it goes:
Download the Togglebth.zip from Post #8
Unzip the .exe into your Windows folder
Open your Registry Editor (I use PHM RegEdit).
Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila
Change HomeLSKPath - Set Value Data \Windows\ToggleBTh
Change HomeLSKText - Set Value Data Bluetooth
Exit your registry editor and perform a Soft Reset.
After restart your Left Softkey should have changed to "Bluetooth"
Enjoy!

Please go and read the stickies before you ask a question.

If you haven't already settled on a solution then this is the app/cab for you:

It give you the option of toggle switches, for our quicklinks, for bluetooth, wifi, data and others.

How do I make the state of operation return to what it was when I toggle Bluetooth on/off after a period of time?
Example:
I use my Bluetooth stereo speaker for watching movies. I have to go into Bluetooth Manager of my HTC HD2 and select "Stereo" connection.
When I turn Bluetooth off, it loses the "Stereo" connection and never returns to it when I turn BT back on. I have to always go into BT Manager and manually select the Stereo" connection.
Bluetooth Toggle won't re-establish the "Stereo" connection. All it will do is turn BT on/off.

This one is working perfect on my HD2. You can assign it to a quicklink and you're ready to go.

It's up to ur BT speaker to reinitiate the connection.
My BT headset auto sets the stereo connection when it's switched on.

How to A2DP Switch for bluetooth stereo headset - SOLVED POST 6

Hi Guys,
Apols if this has been answered before, but i have searched
I use Sony bluetooth stereo headset for my music. But to get them to connect every time i have to do lots of clicks : start/settings/connections/bluetooth then right click on the headset and click set as wireless stereo.
This is a major pain in the butt but i lurv the headphones
Is there any way to make a shortcut to the bluetooth section and i can then place this short cut on launcher of HTC home, it would save alot of clicks!!
I have tried to create a shortcut, but the settings/connections/bluetooth is not visible in file explorer, (yes show all files is switched on)
It would be IDEAL if possible to create a small program that i can then install that would do all of the above steps, then i could simply click the program on the laucher and hey presto my head phones connect I am not conversant in programming on WM..... yet, so would really appreciate help and willing to donate
Try this one
Ha Ha thanks, but that only takes me to the comm manager and only sensibly cuts me one click. Was looking really for something more, but thanks for the reply
Hey buddy try this!!! I'm not sure what you are using as an app that will create a button for you but this should do it for you . I think!!!!
I made a shortcut to bluetooth.
To do it create a file called bluetooth.lnk and put the following line of code in it:
23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23,1?\Windows\AppButtons\bluetooth.gif
I think it is best to put this shortcut into the programs directory in windows and then you can choose it from the dropdown lists.
But better than that is to use A2DPToggle. Which makes it one press only to enable bluetooth and one press to sync headset or unsync headset on the Today screen. Killer app if you have bluetooth headset.

Fantastic, thanks for the advice, the A2DPToggle is exactly what i need. I had found a way to use battery status as it has a2dp toggle on there, but it uses a tray icon which takes up too much today screen, hence the reason for putting it on launcher tab on HTC home.
I downloaded A2DPToggle and now have a toggle switch on my HTC home launcher tab so the pluggin on the today screen is not needed
Here is the link for anyone else : http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=freeware
Also attached is a small cab file which switches a2dp off and on, meaning you dont need to have the plugin on the today screen as it provides a switch that is placed on the start menu and which can be placed on the HTC home launcher, many thanks to JKingGrim the developer!! Works a treat!!
Thanks for the switcha2dp app. This is exactly what I was looking for. Works like a charm with my Vogue running Manilla 2D!
Any chance of getting an icon for it, so it's not just the plain window icon?
Sony Headphones
With mine all I have to do is press the middle button on the Headphones and it automatically makes them the default sound device?
i still hav to turnb bluetooth on though!
Quick and stupid question - how do I actually go about creating a .lnk file on my Touch Diamond?
Thanks
Ed.

Why don't you use Home Screen ++ ?
It has a tray icon for bluetooth settings (on/off,A2DP,pair,settings)
lol thanks for the reply, but home screen plus is a pain if your running manila and dont want to use a second today screen, your relying on a home plugin. Also home++ doesnt do the job of the a2dp switch.
The switch is very effective in that you can put a shortcut in the program laucher and its direct and effective... give it a try.
I don't know what the issue is, doesn't just pressing the play button on your A2DP headset automatically connect it to your phone?

Profile Manager Round Up

Okay, I'm after a program that will manage profiles for me. When I go to work, I switch it to work and the phone goes into a silent more (vibrate) checks e-mail every 15 minutes and gives me reminders of sms, missed calls etc.
I plug my HD into the car and it puts the sound back on, I don't get reminders, just the initial message, Bluetooth comes on and connects to my car kit.
I get home, BT turns off, WiFi comes on and reminders come back.
There seems to be quite a lot of different options out there, so I propose to make this the definative thread on the matter. Please post what software you have used, provide a link, give the price (if applicable) and a short 'review'. I will edit into this post everyone's findings and it can then be used as a reference to all those that come along asking. Sound good?
So, I've used -
pocketMax - phoneAlarm - €14.50 (Lite version - £13)

Pro's - Very powerful, options to set almost everything thinkable in your profile..
Con's - Not the best UI. Today screen friendly (not so good for TF3D).
Phone Weaver - $14.95 (£10.27)
Pro's - Pretty good control. Nice UI. Can change profiles through an icon.
Con's - Setting profiles can be confusing. (How do I have vibrate, but with reminders?) No location based profile switching.
To come...
CellProfileSwitcher - FREE
SPB Phone Suite - $19.95 (£13.70)
Pro's - Reasonably flexible. Very nice interface.
Con's - Requires a today screen. No location based profile switching.
Location Profile Mobile - FREE
Far too early days. Very basic at present.
rk Sleep
I haven't tested rk Sleep yet.
CommMgrPro
See this post for information on this product.
PocketZenPhone
And maybe this one too?
No one with any experiences they wish to add?
I've tried most of the above and am currently using SPB PhoneSuite, as much because it integrates with Mobile Shell as anything.
I would agree that PhoneAlarms interface leaves lots to be desired and PhoneWeaver is just bewildering.
What is missing from PhoneSuite is the ability to change ring tones/notifications on a profile by profile basis. All you have control over is the volume and vibrate function. I am a member of the SPB forum and this is a currently outstanding feature request
Does anyone know if there are any more options out there?
Hello. Here is what I am looking for. So far I am very frustrated with my HTC FUZE with this one feature.
I would like to have more control of the phone profile options like I used to have on my Blackberry phones. Basically I want to be able to make set custom profiles as I want them.
For example. With my old phones I was able to use an "advanced" feature in the phone profile section to create what I called a "Night" setting. When this setting was activated the entire phone was on silent (texts, emails, etc, everything was silent) EXCEPT the phone. The phone would ring if I received a call. So it was basically a "phone only" setting. This was perfect at night because I would only receive a call if it was a real emergency.
I KNOW that I can go into the Sounds and Notifications settings and turn everything off except the phone, but I have to do that manually and if I change phone settings everything goes back and I have to again manually do what I want.
I HAVE tried the Inesoft program and the spb phone suite. both have profiles built into them, but no way to do what I mention above with my "night" setting.
DeeDee, I am also using MobileShell and currently spb phone suite, but as mentioned above it does not allow me to set up custom profiles the way I want to.
I look forward to any feedback anyone might have. Thanks!

In PhoneSuite there is the option to edit notification type, set this to "Off". Should work, it does for me, just tested it.

that is the same build I am using, but the setting image you posted still makes you receive either the sound or vibration you have set up for text messages, emails, etc. You have to still manually go to Sounds and Notifications and manually turn off the sounds/vibrate for those features. And once you chance back to another profile, those settings all reset and you have to manually adjust them again the next time you want to use your custom profile.
I think my point is that there is no way to make a set profile the way you want. I wish you could just do this
Phone - vibrate and ring
email - off, or no notification
text - off, or no notification
sms - off, or no notification
calendar - off, or no notification
something like that.
Weird, I have just retested the settings as in the screen shot and while the phone rings, and I can hear the ring tone, an email is delivered in silence. Not tested SMS yet but I can't see why it would be different.

right, it WILL work if you set everything in the sounds and notifications settings as I described. BUT when you switch profiles in phone suite during the day (in my example I was setting up a night setting) and then go back to the Custom one, all of the sounds and notification settings have reset. you then have to go through all of them again and uncheck vibrate or sound. You can not set the custom profile so it SAVES all of the phone settings for repeated use. The next time you have to set it all up again. does that make sense.
I just tested on my fuze and exactly what I describe above happened. it worked as i wanted, but when i switched profiles, and then tried to switch back to the custom one, I was forced to reset the sounds and notification settings for each thing. that makes no sense and takes to much time.
phoneAlarm will do all this for you. It has by far the mosy options. You can even change how often e-mail is checked in each profile.

I will check it out now. thank you for the feedback.
I would add, the best way to run it is -
Turn off TF3D in Today settings. Add just pA. Go to pA options and enable TouchFlo mode. Reset the device. When it comes back up, it will load phoneAlarm and all you need do is press the left softkey labelled 'Manilla' to load TF3D with pA running in the back ground.
Then, make a file in your start menu -> programs that points to "\windows\paWakeup.exe" -pm. Call it something like Profiles.lnk and then add that to your programs tab on TF3D. Now when you tap that, you can manually select a profile.
It now seems to run with very little impact on phone performance.
Andy
I do not use TF3D. I use spb Mobile Shell. Do you have any idea how this program will work with that application.
Hmm, you can probably get it to work in a similar manner as I explained above, but set the left soft key to run mobile shell instead? The link for profile changing I would think will work the same...?
Andy, I have installed the program, but am a bit lost. Not sure how to use the features with Mobbile Shell
Have you read the bit I posted about making a profile.lnk?
Set up your profiles, press your link to change them. You can also use automatic switching...

Nexus 5 phone dialer buggy?

Maybe just me but the phone dialer feels buggy. Several times i select a number on the call history list to dial. It seems to then be stucked on dialing. if i hit back and manually dial the same number on the number pad then it dials through. Also does anyone have problem with dialing out or receving phone call, then hang up and music playing doesn't resume? I have this problem with n7player and also somewhat buggy with poweramp..
Still have problem with it and can't figure if there's anything to make it better. I would have poweramp playing music then hit the dialer app. dial a number and as soon as i do that poweramp is shut down. after hanging up music doesn't resume because it appears the music player has been killed. When the music player is restarted, volume is messed up or it sounds garbled. This seems even worse with my stereo BT headset jabra BT3030.
Anyone else got this problem? I mean am i really the only one with this problem?
I do not use the dialer, as I am a teenager so I just text so I can't confirm anything. Haha. Anyways, try ExDialer from the Play Store. You will loose the new 4.4 dialer features like business caller ID, if that matters to you. You can change the theme if you don't like the stock theme.

The two i tried are poweramp and n7player. The reasons for those apps? I need a player that has lockscreen control and queing files to a playlist by being able to select files individually from folder view and multiple saved playlists. There are actually not too many of apps that has all those as several does not have folder view of files anymore. Google play music app does not have folder view of files
after MUCH pain i got google music play to work and yes it does work with dialer and pause and resume music properly with phone call. it does have a so and so lock screen control but no adding file to playlist by folder view. what a pain. am i the only one missing the folder view?

I have found if you turn off animations "developer mode" it messes with the dialer.
I've found the dialer to be perfect, and so far haven't had a problem with it. I found it SO cool when I called my work number and the name and my logo came up idk if this is just me lol but I thought this was the coolest thing ever.

I am still trying to decide if it's the dialer problem or if it's the music app problem. Google play music app works fine resuming music after making a phone call. I just wish google music play app has an add file to playlist from a folder view. I am kinda old school....
I've had problems with the dialer itself. Was working fine for me now it freezes. Sometimes I receive a phone call and I cannot answer it. I had my settings set to ART and now I switched back, cleared the cache, and I'm still experiencing problems. I have a custom recovery and am rooted. Not sure if that's the issue but this just recently became a problem. I did have my animations turned off. I'm going to try turning them on as someone suggested. Will report back.

Tried a factory reset and was still having problems with the dialer. Then I went into the mobile data settings and set it to auto roam, I have sprint so I did not select sprint home only. I also set it to accept roaming and kept the network mode to global. I had changed that to LTE before and also have the roaming network set to Sprint only. Now that I changed these settings I can receive calls and sail out without any problems even with my music player on. Hope this helps.

I have the latest 2.0. I gived permissions to mass storage and gived root permissions with Magisk Root. I played with colours to give the correct colour (this yellowish tint that have also pixel devices ) and after that toggle stopped working and when I try to change, I press the and I try to enable with toggle and nothing happens

This is awesome, thank you! Would you mind sharing your Tasker project? I'd like to be able to toggle night mode with Tasker.

I really don't understand this request, why use tasker when this app as no background processes and a simple QS tile? anyway, yes i can share but remember : this app don't enable night mode, only change display rgb value , the end user set this value, more you lower the blue and the green value more reddish your display is , so don't expect a simple toggle for night mode under some settings. i provide a link as soon as possible

Anyway i didn't tried with magisk so i don't know if can depend on this.

Automation, that's why. Also I want to peek under the hood.
There's a few issues with the app. It app force-closes on startup. Look of Disapproval does the same thing and so did Custom Quick Settings until the dev updated it. I'll try and grab a logcat. It's something to do with Android Oreo, but I'm not sure what.
The app only opened right away on first run, now I have to tap it, wait until MagiskSU grants su permissions a couple times, then tap the Quick Setting tile and then it will open. It does not apply unless I tap the icon in the upper right that looks like a refresh icon or tap the tile again so it's "off", then tap it again to turn it "on".

The values are right , the app have stopped to work after some time or not worked at all? Have you the stock kernel? i think it's something related to magisk, but i don't have soo much time for checking it right now

There's a security block to 30.
Why? Because if you accidentally put everything to 0 your screen become totally black, and the only way to restore is via adb or recovery, so i suggest never use value under 30, for a good results i use: Red-255 Green-160 blue-100. ?
Works amazingly on a Moto G4 Plus XT1641 with ElementalX Kernel. Thanks.
Now it works great.

Question Audio Guide while walking

Hallo all,
I own a GW4 Classic. I used to own the GW. During walking i used to have audio messages every 1 km with the GW. It would tell me my heartbeat, average speed and so on. With my new GW4 i can't get any sound out of it. Firmware version DUJA. All notifications, system, ringtone, audio, media and so on work fine. All settings are standard, i resseted the watch twice. It should work out of the box.
The audio Guide is on and i set the frequency on one min. for instance, start walking. After one minute, it vibrates with a black screen with green letters telling me the distance. Thats all.
I can not imagine it is a hardware problem? What do you guys think?

Interesting. I have used this when cycling, while connected to my Galaxy Buds+. I've never touched the settings, and it worked just fine. Actually glad to know that I can adjust it or turn it off. Might be an obvious question, but are you using headphones/earbuds? If not, you've no doubt checked the audio settings on your watch?

Thx for your reply. I do not use headphones. I checked all the audio settings and no luck. It should work out of the box. Thats why i reset the watch before. Sound should come out of the speaker of the watch without headphones.

Right, I see that now in your original post. I would suggest you keep playing with it, trying various options, settings, etc., and not send it in for repair (at least not yet). The feature works, and in my experience, this kind of issue is most likely not a repair issue, but a setting or system limitation issue.
I am trying for 2 weeks already. Deleted the apps completely. Deleted the plugins for the watch. Reset to factory 3 times. New firmware this morning. Twice contact with Samsung. I am completely lost.....

Deleted the apps completely? Isn't that a systems app?
Don't think so Samsung wearable is an Android app. Together with a plugin it connects to your phone thru BT. Then you have Samsung health for your fitness stuff and Samsung health monitor for ECG and Blood Pressure.
I deleted all, deleted storage and cache first. Like i said, if you delete all the apps, reset the watch, and do not roll back a backup, it should be as out of the factory. Connect to Wearable app, the plugin is installed and all should work as out of the box. Nobody complains about this "audio guide" feature, so it looks like it's only my watch which is faulty.
Would be nice if i got some feedback, if other people struggle with this feature.

Thx for your post. After your remark to not send it for repair i gave it another try. Reset the watch, installed the wearable app again without restoring a backup. Guess...... it didn't work. But then i restored my latest backup. It didn't work. Then i was goin thru all the settings and i noticed one setting i could try. GENERAL > INPUT > LANGUAGE. I was able to download a Dutch language pack. And you won't believe it, but it works. I am so happy. It cost me two weeks!

That's great to hear! I figured it had to be a software issue given that you know your hardware is fine (as audio is working), so glad you found it and sorted it out in the end!
Thank you!
Few days ago I have install last firmware (photo in attach) and now i have a same problem. Almost one year I used it for running (gw4), and after every km I got audio guidence, now I only have vibration, screen turns on for a few seconds but without any voice. Any idea how to solve this irritating problem? Thanks
For me it worked to change default language on my phone (and not watch) to english. Bad solution, but it is working
