I ported it from original JPN rom (not from uni). I think i fixed all bugs that Ive find. And when I'll have a chance to upload it, i'll do it.
I think that other person who promised to release his "own" new rom just speculated with news of my release.
As for new features:
-Office Mobile 2007
-Modem Link (in additional to Internet Sharing)
-New versions of system files
-System is more stable and fast ..etc

mun is a genius i have loked at the dopod 900 rom for 2 weeks with absolutely no idea on how to port it.
i think he should put up a donate link for his time and effort we owe him alot for his mun artm os build 5.2.968 rom and this new one we are expecting.

So who's the most active Tornado cook?
Who will continue to cook for the Tornado for as long as the hardware will be able to support new iterations of WM?
This isn't an idle question. There's a reason. I was thinking of Nitro for this, but he's MIA to us while performing his service.
Probably the best candidate will be a cook who owns a Tempo.

why dont u cook ROM for us?

I have Blackdragon's kitchen with WM6.1 Wanted to do a plain vanilla but we were stuck at the wifi issue. I also wanted to include tweaks from Gnats and Phils but failed too.
Any help from you will be very much appreciated.

I was planning on gifting my Tornado for testing purposes.
Mine is Noble, so a Tempo owner would be good. I've noticed that when a ROm is made for a Noble, with media buttons and a registry setting (I've heard mention of), my joystick is not sticky. Could be wrong though...

Well, it was me. Then I bought vjgrace's old T-mobile SDA and released the Platinum WM6. ;-) Unfortunately, I'm still ...MIA, but I'd like to catch up whenever I get the time. Please, Illi, can you send me the WM6.1 kitchen?

I think everything will work out for you if we can all follow my grandfather's advice and keep her in the kitchen.
It always surprises me how much of his advice applies to modern technology. He must have be an uber-geek.

For a worthy Cause...Part 2?

I feel bad that I have to re-open this thread but I was unable to get the device for that price listed below. Looks like it's going to cost $500. If nobody would like to contribute further I completely understand. I will try to cover the cost some other way for GSLEON3. If you still want to contribute, then I thank you!
In case some of you don't know GSLEON3 Tilt died a violent death.
Now, he no longer has a device. He has contributed so much to the Kaiser / Tilt community and in fact to XDA as a whole.
I would like to propose that we donate to get him a new device. Considering I can get a great deal on a HTC Fuze ($275 USD) I would like to start a fund-raiser to raise the money for him.
I will be collecting the money for him and will keep the thread updated on the current amount raised. Any amount of contribution will be gladly accepted. PLEASE remember to put your XDA name so I can credit your on the thread.

Hey Ookba, here's a crazy thought. Why not just buy a snap for 50 bucks at your local Best Buy and return it within the 30 day full refund period? It's a little shady, but in the end your efforts to cook up a better rom for the snap will probably result in better sales for sprint and BB that far offset whatever repackaging/refurbishing costs that they will endure. Then you can keep your donation money for yourself instead of spending it on another version of a phone you already have.

Because when an update is realeased he'll need to test an updated ROM... but to get things going that would be a good idea...

Thanks for the donation. It is HardSPL? Does the bootloader say 0.34.Hard? If not, you have to wait for an official ROM to be released.

As you may already know, he is one of our best bets to a fully working Android. He has helped a lot, along with other wonderful people that bring us the best of their knowledge.
Well, I don't know how many of you donated money for this project, but it's definitely necessary to provide our developers with test devices.

I received a message from mssmison. I have just realized that his original device was a Vogue, not a Polaris Sorry, I misunderstood it.
Well, I'm going to change the topic of this thread to fit the reality. My proposal is this: now that a donation link is set up, we could use it to raise the numbers enough to buy a Polaris, too. If you make a donation, specify that it is to buy a Polaris.
I trust that mssmison will be honest and he will get one once he gets the money. I will send him a PM to inform about it.
He told me that he's going to use it as a test device and extra phone to develop for. This could make possible to fix things quickly!
You've got to take into consideration that Vogue and Polaris are similar devices, but not the same, and we have way less developers... I think this is the only mean to keep the dev scene alive.
