Hey Ookba, here's a crazy thought. Why not just buy a snap for 50 bucks at your local Best Buy and return it within the 30 day full refund period? It's a little shady, but in the end your efforts to cook up a better rom for the snap will probably result in better sales for sprint and BB that far offset whatever repackaging/refurbishing costs that they will endure. Then you can keep your donation money for yourself instead of spending it on another version of a phone you already have.

Thanks for the donation. It is HardSPL? Does the bootloader say 0.34.Hard? If not, you have to wait for an official ROM to be released.

as I dont have the device, I was waiting for testers in my SPARE FREE TIME. I have time now, been talking to some members on PM but we didn't manage to collide on IRC..

As you may already know, he is one of our best bets to a fully working Android. He has helped a lot, along with other wonderful people that bring us the best of their knowledge.
Well, I don't know how many of you donated money for this project, but it's definitely necessary to provide our developers with test devices.

I received a message from mssmison. I have just realized that his original device was a Vogue, not a Polaris Sorry, I misunderstood it.
Well, I'm going to change the topic of this thread to fit the reality. My proposal is this: now that a donation link is set up, we could use it to raise the numbers enough to buy a Polaris, too. If you make a donation, specify that it is to buy a Polaris.
I trust that mssmison will be honest and he will get one once he gets the money. I will send him a PM to inform about it.
He told me that he's going to use it as a test device and extra phone to develop for. This could make possible to fix things quickly!
You've got to take into consideration that Vogue and Polaris are similar devices, but not the same, and we have way less developers... I think this is the only mean to keep the dev scene alive.

As most of you know, ajsmsg78 has been the main developer for the mediapad X2 here on xda, providing a lot of help, and some very useful ROMs for our device. I already discuss about that with him in january 2017, but the idea is back now:

So, in order to let ajsmsg78 keep helping everyone around here, and update his "Kanvip Slim" and "simply international" very usefull custom ROMs (to include the new fixes added in huawei official roms these last month), that would be great to getting him a X2 device! Here are some ways:
- asking the users that posted about broken screen once, if they would cheaply sell (or lent) their device if not repaired!
- finding a cheap used X2 to sell, on the internet
- donate to ajsmsg78 via his paypal adress available on his profile
Thanks for helping development for the X2, to stay alive!!

It's a port so there are things that may never work (like VOLTE). The key is to use the files from stock EMIU to replace the files in the CM13 rom that are causing some of the bugs. The hard part is figuring out which files need replacing.

Ok people so here's the deal:
User @maintainer mentioned in the Lineage dev thread that a dev from the Paranoid Android team was interested in porting to our device but unfortunately couldn't afford it. He'll also leave a working LOS tree so other people can port other roms to our device and probably make a working TWRP, actually working. The dev in this case is known as Offain on Discord and his xda handle is @33bca.
So I took it upon myself to go talk to said dev and set up a plan for this. Here's how things stand:
According to @maintainer, we need to gather 180 Swiss Francs (158.2€) to fund this device. I've spoken to the developer, Offain and I'll link him the thread so he can pop in and confirm all this. If enough people are interested in chpping in some cash, he'll post his paypal and we can all directly donate to him. I'm trying to keep this as transparent as possible cuz we don't want a repeat of the situation with @d1ngh and TWRP.
So post here if you're interested and how much you're willing to donate for this. I'll keep count in OP of the cash.
I'll start obviously, I'm unemployed atm but willing to chip in 5€.

Dunno. No one in the custom rom scene has interest in MIUI honestly (neither do I). If you wanted MIUI probably should have gotten the Redmi 6 Pro
