Just like the title says.
I love the speed of the NNCuong Rom. It's superfast. Pretty Stable. I'm using it for almost 2 or 3 months I Think. But the BT Audio hangs after a while.
Somebody who knows which is the right Rom for me?
BT Audio works perfect for me with nnc's ROM.
I am definitely sure that I am not the only one with the BT Audio problem.
I have read already a few times about people having the same problem also on other roms.
If I use BT Audio through my anycom speakers my MDA hangs after a few minutes and all i can do is reset the device.
I am using 2.11.11 WWE
08/31/07 version
It's the fastest Rom i have seen around, and don't know if there is any other rom that matches the speed of this rom.
So I am still very curious if somebody can help me.
I'm using NNCuong's ROM too, with a2dp.
When Uni hangs press the play button on your a2dp device twice to unfreeze
But that sucks.
I'm going to try WM6.1 ROMs, at least DFT one. Old DFT ROM was the best WM6 I ever seen.
Hi guys,
can someone please post a link to this famous rom (NNCuong's ROM) ?
Thanks
Michael
24hrs of DFT WM6.1 ROM, no problems, crashes, soft resets or freezes.
A2DP works perfectly. Camera works perfectly after replacing with a newer version (old bug with 4Gb SDs).
Disabled SnapVue, Error reporting and Performance app right after installation.
Right now I have 18Mb of free RAM (with connected BT A2DP, WkTask, PocketBreeze and some minor today plugins), that's after 24hrs. After soft reset it's 24Mb.
I installed the 6Mb Pagepool version.
And, the main parameter - speed - it's as fast as NNCuong's.
So, I recommend DFT ROM (search for 6Mb PP version link, if you have a 64Mb device).
I use Ranju's 7.1 and it works perfect! No hangs, great speed, BT fully functioning, flash disk, extra storage, I just love it!

Are you still using the Rom, finding it fast and stable?
Can you also please post a link to your rom, because i really hate the search on this site.
It's like the opposite of google, whatever you are searching for it will not give the right result.
Thx in advance.
Can you post a link to the rom youy mentioned?

Here is your link. I've been using DFT rom (64mb) for over a week without any problem.
I have finally flashed one device with the DFT ROM.
I love the interface. But... despite of people saying it's fast, the Nncuong rom is like 2 times faster...
If i scroll through the start menu holding down the down button it goes like really fast, my eyes almost can't keep up with the speed. The first time I Used this ROM I was stunned by the speed and had get used to working with it.
And this is with everything I do, working and navigating on the Universal.
This ROM is the only ROM I found being this fast, and thats why I love this rom the most.
People who haven't had this rom will probably say other roms are fast, because they aren't slow. But with Nncuong fast I mean really fast!
I wonder why Nncuong can make his ROM this fast while others can't?
This is the rom uni_2_11_11_g3.rar: http://www.zshare.net/download/9435328a24097d/
Try the ROM if you want to know what I am talking about, and see what I mean with "fast".
From this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=342944&highlight=nncuong
The BT Audio can be fixed with the zoki A2DP fix: http://www.zshare.net/download/94544707139220/
Anybody can confirm the speed of this ROM, and knows another ROM this fast? Or is this the only one with this speed?
Finally after killing my Universal with almost 7 cooked roms in 4 days..i am settling with NNC's Rom..Hope my BT with the BT headset works fine

Headset I had no problems with. Its the bluetooth audio profile (A2DP) that was giving problems.
PS. How do you experience the speed?
Checkout PDAViet's new ROM-its cool-All is working great-even Bluetooth activesync (but not stable)-i dont have a stereo headset to check A2DP

Flash rom
Hi there I am new to this by flashing a different Rom.
Maybe it's a lack of patience but is there anyone who could post the link how I can flash my Rom to uni_2_11_11? I downloaded it and I get a NK.NBF file. (Step-by-step)
I have a MDA PRO:
ROM: 1.30.115WWE
RADIO: 1.10.03
ExtROM: 1.30.233 WWE
Thanks....
I guess there are already topics to this but I couldnt find is there any apk that runs on the tattoo and that it works fine for sending and receving cause I tried androbex BFT and bluex and I cant any to work at all
And really need BT on my phone
there's no such apps, until there's no Android 2.1 for Tattoo.
in 1.6 there's a bug - you cannot exchange files via BT. As for the apps, I think the best is Bluetooth File Transfer
Hi,
I have tried the Android rom for desire on HD2. Thanks the developers, it is funny. However, I have to report some bugs and hope there is improvement in the future.
1) Sometimes the music player reported "no SD card" detected.
2) Pairing problem with SE bluetooth MW600. Can hear music playing by the phone but cannot make a call/receive a call. The device is functioning very well in WM6.5. Don't know if the bug exists with other bluetooth device.....
3) Cannot mount the SD card under Android platform with PC. Any 3rd party apps can do?
4) Built in Camcorder doesn't work without the optical sensor. Hard to find a 3rd party camcorder from Market!
5) The key at the bottom have no backlite at all. Cannot press the key in darkness.
6) Buttons on HD2 handsfree is not function (play, pause, forward, backward). Also not working for Music player or making calls.
my ROM configure:
Radio: 2.10.50.26
Android version: Android 2.1: darkstone_desirebuild_v5.7z
zImage is 7/23 version
This is old, I recommend you to use the newest Froyo Sense build with Cotulla's newest Kernel -> better experience...
Im using android 2.2 on my hd2 and ive had no trouble with it upgrade to 2.2 it should be ok then
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
And the fact that THIS IS AN ANDROID PORT, your device dosnt run android natively, meaning no everything works like it should, before posting questions STFF, ofcourse things arent working, its a work in progress, not a "place cab on your sd card, install it and BAM! your hd2 magicly transforms into a htc super ultra megatron holy grail perfect android device"....
Thanks bros, I will try your suggestions.
Of course, I know HD2 is not running Android natlively. I just try to report the problems I encountered. I hope the group will work around it and make it perfect.
If no one reports the problem, how can you improve?
Can anyone help me with the mms issue I try every setting I have found and no luck..I can receive mms but can't send them...darkstone froyo 2.2 custom rom Miri 17.6 on the t mobile hd2
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I'm looking to buy an HD2 or some other used handset to run and Android build on for now and potentially a build of Win7, when it becomes available. I know the HD2 has the hardware I'm looking for, and based on these posts, it looks likes its running froyo pretty well. I guess what I'm trying to ask is if this handset would be at the sweet spot between most compatible hardware to run the most current builds of Android and best price point for a used handset? i hope that question makes sense to somebody besides me
Will I be able to connect a BT keyboard to HTC Desire HD?
Will it accept HID devices?
HTC Desire didnt becouse it used an old BT driver or something like that.
Is the HDH useing a newer driverpack?
Bluetooth keyboards & Desire HD
I am keen to know the answer to this one. Being able to connect a bluetooth keyboard to my HTC Touch HD (WM 6.1) phone is one of the reasons I still enjoy using it. I hope moving to Android with the DHD does not rule this out.
I spent 30 mins tryinh the Freedom i-connex, and even installing drivers I couldn't get it to work.
To be fair I did just give up as I lost interest, but it's definitely not just a simple quick and easy thing.
Very unlikely to work, HTC has their own BT implementation and its not yet worked on any of their phones (until Cyanogenmod ROM comes anyways).
Samsung Galaxy S does support on 2.2 firmwares, as does the Dell Streak, and every phone with an available Cyanogenmod ROM, if thats a consideration for you.
My Mini bluetooth keyboard http://www.chinavasion.com/product_info.php/pName/mini-bluetooth-keyboard-for-smartphones/ from Ebay is on the way, i hope with treksoft Blueinput software http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=products&platform=2&pid=24 it will be ok with HTC DHD.
So, after a test, it is definitely not working for my DHD (bundled android driver or trial teksoft blueinput for android). So bad :-/ Hope for some useful upgrade in the future...
Will we get better BT support with then new Gingerbread Android 2.3?
Sounds as if it wouldnt be hard implementing good BT drivers in this kind
of phone to start with.
Wonder way HTC dont want us to use BT peripherials??
Any news about Gingerbread and BT HID driver?

I asked from HTC Support and:
"Peter, the HTC Desire phone does not come with the Bluetooth HID protocol. There is no method of putting this protocol onto your phone and we cannot guarantee that it will be included in any future updates."
But the HID is working with the Oxygen v2.0 RC4.
Nice regards
Peter

I used this driver:
http://www.androlib.com/android.developer.mymobilegear-com-jiBD.aspx
I was not able to plug my apple bluetooth keyboard under the official sense rom on the desire HD.
However, after installing the latest "stable" cyanogen (6.1), bluetooth is working, and I can connect and use the keyboard (it uses the HID profile).
Hi @All
I am playing with wiimot, my snes games.
Cyanogenmod 6.1.3
ONLY with sense ROMs dont work The Bluetooth driver
Have yesterday nonstop over 10h playing
Hi, just read about the "non-possibility" to link bluetooth keyboards, unless to root (if well understood with cyanogen), or use Keypro, welllll....
I'm no hero, o rooting I do not see as a solution and Keypro desn't do the trick either.
Problem on my side it that the pairing works, but once paired, the system indicates "paired, but disconnected" & no chance to connect???
I have a flexible (silicone) keyboard and really like to use it.
Anyone an idea?
Thanks in advance
Noone could use a human input device via bluetooth yet on HTC and Samusng droids due to the fact the manufacturer's OS is simply incompatible with these devices. It seems like the only way to use a device like that if u get a custom OS on your device. I tried to bug HTC with my questions like why exactly can't they provide an OS with bluetooth HID support meanwhile an unofficial developer can deal with it. Got no explanation, just the repeated answer saying that it is currently not compatible with HTC devices. And I should check for updates regularly. Maybe if the more people would bug them... Give it a go everyone. Would be great to use mouse, keyb, gamepads...
Hi all, i'm looking for the same solution too and found an apps called "BlueInput" which claimed to be a working driver, can anyone please try it with your BT keyboard since I haven't bought a keyboard yet... Thanks a lot!!
Here's the link of the apps, and I've seen a demo version on Andriod market:
http://www.mobihand.com/263//product.asp?id=415867
tested with my key-board: doesn't work
Found however following link (also via XDA): i-miss-erin.blogspot.com/2009/09/connect-bluetooth-keyboard-in-android.html
But seen my faculties/knowlegde regading tooring etc, I haven't tried.
If anyone could help me with an "easy root for moorons" - please contact me....
I am fighting for the operation of my Bluetooth Keyboard Nokia SU-8W on the DHD so far without success.
Any suggestions?
I haven't tried CyanogenMod 6.1.3 or 7 Rom but if this is the only way to have the keyboard worked, I think I'll have to learnt to root now =_="
I've bought a BT keyboard and installed BlueInput, it don't work on my DHD, but it works very well on my sister's Dell Venue =_=" What a shame!
IRXON BT HID keyboard from dealextreme doesn't work with HTC Magic stock or DHD stock / Leedroid ROMS.
Amusingly enough, this worked like a charm with a jailbroken iphone 2g. Can anyone else confirm support for HID keyboards on the Desire HD with CM 6.1 or CM7 ?
EDIT: Naturally, tried every input app in the market, including BlueInput demo, another app for japanese HID keyboards and even BT input drivers for Zeemote and MSI BT gamepads
Anyone tried on the market:
"Bluetooth Keyboard Easyconnect" from Mike van der Sluis?
If so & successful, think I really need to get the rooting knowlegde (well knowing that with the current 2.2.1 no rooting is possible, so a downgrade is needed etc etc etc....... - in other words: HELP!)
This is a test release with a new kernel 2.6.32 based from legend kernel source modified by cyanogen and attn1 to work on cm6. I am looking for reports on wifi and bluetooth mostly. Since this just replaces the kernel in 6.1.0 RC2. I don't want bug reports of issues already mentioned in the main 6.1.0 RC2. Please contain them to wifi and bluetooth. Overclock is included. I basically want to make sure your wifi runs good and the bluetooth works with your headsets/a2dp devices.
Thanks for testing

Changelog?
Is the included overclock already clocked higher or is it set at stock?
It would be great to have more info on this please! I may test it out once you can include more information.
The os itself is the same it's just a kernel change. Going from 2.6.29 in the other release to 2.6.32 in this test release. It's basically a subsystem change. You won't see any cosmetic change. I just want to make sure it doesn't cause any issues before attn1 and I add it to the next cm release. The only reason I mention OC is because this kernel still has it in it. So you will have the same OC features as the 2.6.29 kernel. Hope this helps explain what has changed.
Just curious if this .32 kernel will pave the way for FM radio support?
Wifi is working fine for me so far. I don't use any bluetooth devices, so haven't tested that.

downloaded, haven't flashed it yet. There's still no nls_utf8.ko in /system/lib/modules. I know how to compile one, but I'll appreciate if you guys could make a small change in the config.
Code:
CONFIG_NLS_UTF8=m
That would save my trouble.
Wifi is working fine; tested both Wifi data connection and Wifi tethering (actually posting this using Wifi tethering). BT paired with Plantronics 520 headset is working and BT Voice Dialer was launched when I selected the headset button.
Do you just flash this?
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
You install it the same way you install the cm6-rc2.

I made a kernel with your change. You'll still need to install the first package on this page before you install this kernel update. What is is for nls_utf8 used for anyways? Does this kernel update do what you need it to?

Thank you so much!!
nls_utf8 should always comes with cifs. With this module, we can mount cifs with "iocharset=utf8" option to access files that have special characters in their names. This is quite important for non-english users who use cifs.
WiFi seems be fine here. Bluetooth connects and working fine with Blue Eagle ll headset.

Thanks for your input guys, if I could get some more it would be great. CM6.1 final will be out in the next couple of days so I'd like to get as much feedback as possible before then.
Bluetooth is connecting fine with my Nokia headset (BH-503). Wifi is working no different for me (aka, it works).
Tether working great for me don't know about Bluetooth don't ever use it but everything else is great!

Wifi's fine. Cifs's working and it's good to have utf8 support.
Don't have any BT device to test on.
Wifi working for me. Just the kernel flashed over the latest nightly.
Downloaded this, ran it through it's paces as best I could. Connected two bluetooth devices (jabra and jawbone) worked without any glitches or weirdness. I also moved between several wifi spots WEP, WPA, and unsecured without issue.
Need any other info let me know.
I can also verify wifi working perfectly.
(no bluetooth devices to test that)
Only ROM in the CM series that works with my WIFI router (WPA-PSK). Had tired the most recent CM version and really liked the expanded dock along the bottom that allowed up to 5 icons to be placed there, but again, no wireless. Guess I'll stay with this one till Gingerbread comes out, Right...
