hello all, has anyone tested the HD tweak program on a touch pro2 (or VZW touch pro2)? ??does everything work like its suppose to? does it interfere with anything else or cause problems like advanced config does?? I had a original touch pro and always used diamond tweak and they worked wonderfully but im curious if i can get the same results out of hd tweak....any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
Only thing I've noticed with it so far is that using it to boost audio output "broke" the 3.5mm earphone jack. Setting it back to default and soft reset got it back.
I use it to Disconnect my data connection...haven't seen anything negative so far but I only use it for that. Have you tried Touch Pro2 Tweak for Verizon/Sprint at forum.ppcgeeks.com? It's worth having if you haven't.

getting my tp2 in the mail tomorrow from verizon and doing a little research to start it off right... coming from a bb for 4 years.
HD tweaks works fine on my vzw tp2. Seems there was a couple that didn't
take, but it's def worth it. Plus the tp2 clean up cab from ppcgeeks, as was
mentioned. That one's a must. Thanks again "good things"!

My Tilt was shipped with a rom version 1.57.502.2, and radio 1.27.12.11, and the first few calls i made, i realized that i could hear my own voice on the speaker. at first i thought it was a problem with the network, but it never went away, after a couple weeks of use. So then i started to think that maybe it was meant to be like this, ie some form of feedback, and i did start to like it. oh, and i forgot to mention, i had to do an exchange the very first day, the tilt had a stuck pixel, but i still have not sent it back yet.
Finally having enough fun with bloated at&t rom, i decided to flash Alex's v5 home rom, and after the flash i notice that the voice feedback was gone. so i popped my sim back into my other tilt (the one i was supposed to send back), and made a call, and it still did have that voice feedback.
So out of curiosity, i flashed the tilt with Alex's rom back to the original at&t rom, and the voice feedback came back. Now this makes me wonder, was the voice feedback a bug in the rom version, or was it done on purpose? Any other Tilt users with the at&t rom notice this on their phone?
Now if it was done on purpose, this would be something i would like to enable, cause i did find it easier to talk with the feedback. If this has been discussed before then i'm sorry, but i searched as much as i could and all i could find was a few tilt users complaining about hearing their own voice.
I noticed it when I hard reset my phone yesterday, but it went away after the first soft reset... Running AT&T Stock WM6, I thought it was just me
Yes, I have this too on my 2 day old Tilt! Was thinking about returning the phone because of it!
I find it really annoying and disconcerting.
I'm glad I am not the only one. I'm about to flash to the HTC TYTN II shipping ROM.
Will let you know if this fixes it!
yep I get and echo sound some times.
Also had it on my wizard.
I am running Alex Ultra clean v4
Sorry, would you mind clarifying...
Is it a hardware problem? Does everyone have this or do you think some devices are faulty.
I really do not like this issue.
Thanks for your info.
same here..
when i first got mine a couple months ago i could hear my self in the speaker, its either gone now, or i dont notice it any more .

its definitely not hardware cause it went away when i flash a different rom, came back again after i flash the original at&t rom
Have a weird problem and i think it can fixed by some registry.
the bluetooth will disconnect each time with my headsfree after hang up call. only either i press headsfree button to re-estabish or restart bluetooth to get it hook up again.
Does anyone has similar experience ?
Bluetooth disconnect
I've had this problem with my Sprint Touch Pro since I've had it...running stock ROM or Merdin's ROM. Very frustrating...using Motorola HF820 in the car and AT&T EP5632 (BT/Landline phone)...same thing.
I think there's a registry entry for bluetooth polling or something that can be set, but I've yet to find it. There was a post indicating that Diamond TF3D Config had a Bluetooth "tweak" that might solve the problem...but I get an error message when I run it.
JLPDA, Can you send me the tread that talk about this tweak, i wanna take a look see has anything we can do about.
Same problem: Touch Pro with Parrot MK6000 handsfree. I notice though that the phone reconnects after a minute or so. Previous Tytn did not have this problem.
Any news on this? I have the same problem with my Touch HD and Mk6000

Maybe we should flood Parrot with requests for a fix... It should be easy for them.. my previous kit (MK3000) worked flawlessly...
just "copy and paste" from MK3000 parrot engineers!!!!
OTOH, my Jasjam (HTC Tytn) worked fine with my MK6000, while my current Touch Pro has this problem.
I was unable to find anything on the Parrot forums...
I wrote a message to the technical support page on Parrot's web site... let's see what happens...
Parrot's tech support told me that the HTC Touch HD is not currently suopported!!

Seems like nothing is supported on this POS. Out of six phones I have had the only ones that seemed to work with the MK6000 without problem was the Blackberry Storm which is the only good thing I have to say about that phone. It seems moronic that people should have to go through different phones to make their "Accessory" work. Parrot needs to get a clue. I know I'll be voting with my dollars elsware.
I can confirm, it will work as a stereo adaptor with the Touch Pro 2 but hangs up phone calls in the first second or two on the handsfree.
For Sale: One Parrot MK6000 stereo A2DP car kit, slightly used.
And I thought Bluetooth was supposed to be a standard...
I hate bluetooth!!!
What do you know... my parrot MK6000 now works just fine with my new HTC LEO...
Maybe it's because the LEO uses Broadcomm's bluetooth stack instead of the Microsoft's one... who knows...

I also have the AT&T EP5632 and this happens. Does not happen on my Plantronics or Motorola earpieces though.
At one point, I thought I was having better luck with a DaG barebones rom. I like TF3D too much though...
I have had my fuze for about a year now, and recently people cannot hear me when I call them. If they call me they can hear me just fine, but not if I make the call.
Another thing is that i have a problem with the tf3d interface crashing. It usually crashes at least once every 2 or 3 days and a maximum of about 3 times per day.
I would note that I am using the stock ROM and using WinMo 6.1. The only changes i have made are theme applications.
Does anyone else have either of these problems? Does anyone know if there is a way to fix them? I am going to the ATT store soon and hopefully they will just give me a new one lol
Thanx!
You know the drill....
Soft reset - test, hard reset - test.
I know its a pain in the a$$ but its always the start point!
I have been experienceing the same problems as well. What is volume level at in Windows Meadia Player? Some times I have to have the volume in wmp at 100%, for the other person to hear me on the other line. Manlia runs so slow on the stock rom that I do not even use the UI. It is probley not crashing but takeing forever to load.
Most stock ROMs are horrendous anyway, hardSPL and flash I say!
thanks for all your input. i dunno how many times i tried resetting, both hard and soft. the soft reset was usually the fastest way to fix it when touchflo crashed. with regard to WMP: 100%. i have no idea how that is relevant but an interesting find. I more or less ran out of options since this phone is my lifeline so i filed a warranty claim. should have the new one in a few days! w00t! hopefully this one works better

Wish you'd said you had tried various resets, please remember we can only help you based on what you tell us.
Also, the TF problem is almost certainly software, and the call problem (IMO) is 98% sw also (the hardware works - you said if you call out everything is good) - so you may well run into the same issues again.
Sorry to give you bad news, and i hope your new phone works - but i honestly think most of your problems were software related, so they may not be (custom rom might be the answer!)
Have the Thunderbolt set up for making sound when touching screen. The screen will work as it should and then without reason it will get very soft and sometimes completely stop making any sound. Checked all my settings and they are as they should be. I also have the Sensation and the screen is set up the same way and it works properly. Is there something I'm overlooking or is this another bug?? Any help would be welcomed. Running stock Thunderbolt.
Thanks,
restart phone and go from there

It's a bug of some kind. I've had it since the day I bought my TBolt(Launch Day). I think the reason its not heard about much is because most users don't use the screen sound option and also because a lot of users here and at AC root and flash custom roms.
I'm still running launch day software because it just works for me for the way i use my device.... this being the only bug that affects me. I rooted and flashed this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013577
and the issue went away so if it really bothers you I would go that direction. I assume other custom roms fix it as well but I cannot comment as the above is the only rom I flashed before going back stock and un-rooting.
Thanks for your input, checked other sites and found other people with same issue. Going to root this thing anyways and I'm sure the new Rom will fix the issue. Might check out the one you downloaded, looks pretty fast.
Thanks again.
I recently got my MyTouch4g Slide. I used Revolutionary tool to S-OFF the device, and all was well.
After a day of usage, I began using the Bluetooth hands free in my 2010 Chevy Equinox. The connection synchronizes, no problem. All the hands free buttons work, and everything appears functional. However -- I have no audio, either mic. or speakers, from the bluetooth. I have to activate the handset to have a conversation, rendering the bluetooth useless.
Before I reached out to anyone, I performed the RUU installation from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178082. It reverted my hboot, system, etc back to stock. However -- it is still S-OFF. So how do we get S-ON back on this phone?
Regarding the bluetooth -- I began escalating to Tmobile and GM. GM said there's nothing wrong with my Bluetooth (it works with all my previous 3 phones OK). Tmobile says this is not a known issue.
I called HTC support, and they said it sounds like a phone hardware issue with the phone.
I would like to know two things, which I cannot find searching the MT4G Slide forums:
* How can S-ON be restored? (I thought the RUU would handle this). I want to know in case I have to send it back to HTC.
* Has anyone had these bluetooth problems, before I send it in for a replacement?
Thanks!
I just got my 4G Slide yesterday, and haven't yet paired it with my '10 Equinox.
I'll do that tomorrow and let you know if it works or not.
I haven't had any issues with bluetooth on my JVC deck, but there is no problem sending back an S-OFF'd device, I've sent back several with no issues. Some devices are factory S-OFF, plus they never check returns.
Thank you both for the feedback.
jonnycat26, Please let me know what happens when you pair with your '10 Equinox. It's great to have someone with the same device and car make to test, to confirm if it is in fact my device.
I was able to successfully make a call without any issues. Or at least, I had audio when I did (call went to VM, and I did not leave a message).

jonnycat26,
You were able to hear audio and use the mic in your 2010 Equinox?
I guess this confirms I have a hardware issue. Sucks.
Thanks again!
Seeing as the Bluetooth worked for you & GM believes it's a phone defect, I am getting a replacement from Tmobile.
I know you already said you are getting a replacement, and for as expensive as this piece of hardware is - I wouldn't do anything different.
Figured i'd chime in though, have no issues pairing and using my bluetooth headset. Lets me do voice and listen through the headset.
My hands free (genius) mode works, though I don't use it.
I have a bluetooth game controller coming, somewhere in the mail. I know that's a whole other animal with it's own set of issues, but i'll let you know how that goes.
Thanks for posting about this, though, and it's lucky you found someone with the same stuff to test and compare. Bluetooth is going to be the next focus of my attention, I think, so i'm soaking up everything I hear about it now.
If anyone has found a way to make it S-ON, i'd love to know just to know, but it shouldn't be a problem with warranty issues if it was S-OFF.
The worst part of this for me is I have only had this phone since Friday. Further, it was a replacement for a faulty LG G2X, which I had RMA'd three times, and was about to cancel my service before they finally offered me a different phone.
So this will make my fourth return to Tmobile (three G2x, now a MT4G Slide) in the past three weeks. I have also spent about 30hours on the phone with them in the past three weeks.
I am truly exhausted dealing with this, but I really like this phone (the G2X sucked). So I am giving it one more shot.
They are sending me a new phone again, and not a refurb, so that's nice.
It's worth it.
I'm on my second one, I returned my first one. They took it back without hesitation, so even if you have to go through one or two at the beginning it's worth it.
You have the first few days after you get it, to exchange a defect for a working model. With this phone, it's absolutely worth it. Too expensive to walk around with a damaged one - especially from the door.
Your patience will be rewarded with an awesome piece of tech in your hands, it's amazing what you can do with this device.

Weird, I have a JVC KW-NT1 that worked AWESOME with my TouchPro2 but this MT4GS has a bunch of static issues which pisses off my callers...does anyone know of a fix or a BT radio software update perhaps? It sucks that the phone is LIGHTYEARS ahead of my ancient TP2 but the BT might make me return it
btw
