Locking as not ROM development.
If you are stuck in bootloader find the thread in sticky and follow directions, if after a ROM consult the WIKI.

hello all,
i believe i've just dug myself a grave. i've argeed to try repair my girlfriends' dad's wizard.
i am at work right now i have had a sms telling me that he "tried" to upgrade his wizard and now it is stuck in the tricolor boot section.
as i dont have a wizard and only a hermes. i would really appriciate it, if you bros, could tell me what i need to do to repair it.
did he forget to "super CID"?
again, i'd really appriciate it if you guys could point me to the right direction to repair this asap for him.

Get the latest official ROM (check the Wiki for the list), flash it. Use ShellTool to flash any WM6 ROM (CID unlock not required).

from what i gather in your reply, do i basically download any rom (E.g. XDA's Mobile) and flash it using ShellTool and all should be good?
by the way, where is ShellTool? i searched but could not find a thread on ShellTool.

Shelltool does not work via BootLoader, but from within Windows Mobile. Download the Appropiate Brand-ROM (T-Mobile/QTEK/Imate) and then upgrade.

The best advice is to follow this guide as it will step you through the process by pointing you to various roms and threads:

The key thing with a Wizard device is knowing if you have a G3 or G4. G3's are pretty forgiving, but a G4 can be bricked if you try to flash a rom with IPL/SPL that is not from the official rom for that particular phone. If you have the true official rom for that phone, then yes, just flash it and then you should have a working device again, then can follow the steps to CID Unlock it.
Oh, and last word of info... G4's cannot be CID unlocked with tools around here. You have to pay to have it CID Unlocked from IMEI Check. Or (as stated above) you can flash a different rom with Shell Tools (look in the G4 subforum of the Wizard area for info and usage on ShellTool).

I'm owner of Qtek 9100. Everything clear abotu this phone..unlocking, upgrading...no problems at all.
Now, i have Qtek900o (Universal) from my friend.
I want to make upgrade on WM6.
Just asking if i'm right...
1st step : CID unlock
2nd step: new bootloader
3rd step: one of known WM6 roms
Is this coorect?

I seem to be having the same issue but no one seems to reply to my thread either... I tried to go through the CID unlock on the wiki but I keep getting an error device not connected whenever I try to put 'Button' ROM on ... also I click on the link to CID unlock on the WIKI and get a load of instructions for the Wizard, im not sure if this is correct... could someone out there please give us some help ? all id like to do is get WM6 on so I can get MSN working on my phone..... Thanks in advance ... James UK

I have never Cid unlocked. I just use the patched maupgrade_noid.exe to flash as it bypases the CID check.
Also my G4 had the latest bootloader (2.01) in when I got it.
Be careful when changing the bootloader as if you get it wrong you have a very expensive paperwieght.

Did you try them and get a white screen? Check out the wiki in the Kaiser general thread! All the info you need should be in there!

I tried to update HardSPL 3.29 on my friend's Kaiser from AT&T. But it still stucked.
I run SDA-Unlocker .It shows ok.
After serveral tries the phone stucked So i use Kaiser SuperCID and Security Unlocker v0.1 by ockyw2001SPL and do step 1. I don't know what i have exactly done.
During copy it stays at 95 % !
Now every time i boot the device it shows only the bootloader
KAIS1*0
SPL-3.56.0000
CPLD-8
Seial
I can't upgrade other ROM any more.
I think i should take HardSPL 3.56force USB ? because ATT already has SPL 3.56 and WM I 6.1
What have i to do now ? I'm a little confuse because the phone of my friends. That is the gift from his brother. :-(

Try re-flashing the stock ROM for the phone. You'll either find it on the wiki or on your carriers website.
