Clear Storage missing on my Verizon CDMA - Touch Pro2 CDMA

I have a Verizon CDMA and it does not have "ClearStorage.exe" on board. The html explaination of the function is there, but the .exe is missing. Consequently Clear Storage is not available as a selectible utility under Start-Settings-.... System Tab.
Is this the case for any other Verizon phone owners, or did I get a unique dud?

In the System tab did you go to the Memory icon and look for the Clear Storage tab? That's where it is on mine and where it was on my xv6850 Touch Pro

Thanks for point out where it is. It seems that our CDMA phones are not quite the same as the GSM version in several respects. There is a thread that has revealed that fact under the General Thread Group. I have asked that the Wiki be brought up to date on this.

Coming from a GSM phone as well and I had to do some searching as well, welcome to CDMA. So far I am happy!

Why no Palm Pre Section?

I personally would like to see a Pre forum on XDA.
Is anyone with me?
The reason there is not, nor will there ever be a Palm pre section, is because this site simply does not have the resources. It is an HTC only forum because this site cannot afford to support devices from other manufacturers, and every device on here, regardless of brand, was manufactured by HTC (Ericsson X1 and Palm Treo are examples).
There is a thread a couple down from this one, called "iphone-developers.com?" and the last few posts go more in-depth to what I'm saying here. However, if you google "Palm Pre Forum," you will find that there are many possible forums to choose from. Good luck to you,
Dave

A clear, concise and friendly answer - and I even learnt something from it - nicely done
Now why cant we all answer a civil question with a civil answer this way?
I'd suggest a HOWTO thread for xdeviquette but I suspect the "spoon-feeding" may be getting to "chewing-it-for-you" so I'll keep mum

CDMA phones have GSM too?

I was taking a look at the specs for the Sprint version of this phone and noticed that it has GSM ability? Now that sounds really sweet because the ATT ones don't have that 3.5mm jack on them.
So - the obvious question - does it work? And if it doesn't - anyone gotta fix for it?
Thanks!
Not to be an ass, but have you even done a search, or at least look at other threads? This has been discussed many times already.

Well searching for GSM or CDMA isn't going to filter things out much & I really couldn't come up with anything to search. I looked though 4 or 5 pages and didn't find anything. Perhaps just answering the question or pointing me to one of the other treads would be helpful.

And of course the only sticky on the TP2 cdma forum.
It's okay dude. Almost every poster here (definitely including myself) has been there and been bashed for posting a thread when it already had one. It happens. As for the topic. The sticky is the best place to go.

Can you change what it says on the lockscreen?

Mine says ATT 3G. I'm using coredroid. I just changed my account to ATT 4G. I hoped it would update.
Well, since my lockscreen just says AT&T, and I'm not running CoreDroid, I'm thinking you are asking a ROM specific question that might be better asked in the thread of that ROM.
Or better yet.....wait for it.......searched for.
I can't help but notice, you sure seem to like starting new threads for every question that crosses your mind, huh?
I've counted like 4 or 5 in the last few days.
Searching before posting is highly encouraged.
I wasn't sure if it was rom specific, so I posted it here. I would have gotten my ass chewed either way I suppose. Yeah...I search and if I don't find the answer, I post a question. I've had a few questions for which I couldn't find an answer. I just got this phone, so I suspect my thread-starting will diminish considerably in the next few days. Guilty as charged though. Rom threads are nine miles long, and if no one answers in the first day or two, especially with a rom as popular as coredroid, your question gets buried forever.
My suspicion is the lock screen text is influenced by the sim card. If you look at the pics of the lock screens of people running coredroid, they are different based upon their respective carriers. I may ask AT&T about a new sim card. Either that or the built in carrier provisioning has a pat description that gets assigned to the lockscreen.

Alright. Didn't mean to jump your ****. I've been a little over-zealous on the community moderating thing, recently.
Getting a new phone is overwhelming, at first. First thing I do is download the phones manual. Second thing I do is immerse myself in stickied threads, and then as questions arise, I start doing the search thing. Then I ask in threads. In that order.
Seems kind of pointless to put a 3g or 4G icon on the lockscreen, unless its indicating the current state of the phone's cell connection.
I don't think it would be SIM related, because everybody on ATT would have the same or similar plan for the inspire... You can't specifiy a 3g or 4G plan preference when you buy an inspire. The SIM cards that are label 3g are just that... Labels. They don't make any difference to the performance of the phone. The ones that say 3g and the newer ones are functionally equivalent on the inside. Just the pretty picture on it changed.

Calling All Nexus 5 LTE bands modders...

So it looks like both the Xperia and Galaxy dudes can enjoy unlocked LTE bands on their Qualcomm powered phones. I found this tutorial here
I was able to go through the entire tutorial. The problem is that upon reboot the settings will revert back to their original parameters.
Has anyone have successfully unlock world LTE bands on the LG D820..?
Also while trying to backup the original configuration of my phone using the QPST tool, my Nexus asks for an "SPC" unlock code which i do not know what it is... The software fails to retrieve the dump because of lack of this code.... does anyone know how to retrieve this code from the phone..? i sure do not know what it is...
This is not a galaxy. Not one person in this forum has "unlocked", "activated" of "added" any LTE bands. What's more, this question is asked on a daily basis.

I don't need to read them. I've seen them before. No one on this forum has activated, unlocked or added any LTE bands to the Nexus 5.

All the threads i have found so far as in regards to what works out of the box in other areas... modem flashes and so on... nothing proactive like the threads i have found in other forums..... There are Chinese dudes using their D820 in china right now...? how do i know..? i got results through Google in Chinese. The problem is that when you push those sites through translate, they dont make any sense. Furthermore, illustration materials posted are all in Chinese since they are graphics..... But really nothing in regards to how to unlock Qualcomm devices for other LTE bands... there is a difference... It may seem to you that they are the same but the questions are NOT.... i have posted the threads so that you can perhaps put down the sniper rifle and do some clicking... and read..!!!! nothing more..! if you have heard or read anything, awesome..! post it...! if you haven't then perhaps this would be an opportunity to check out these threads.

You seem to be ignoring the facts. There are threads here discussing modifying the LTE bands at length. No one here, on XDA has managed to unlock, activate or add LTE bands to the nexus 5. I know this because I've ready every single thread in the nexus 5 forum about LTE bands. I've read every answer and read every link similar too those that you posted today. No one here has done it. I've told you this no less than 3 times now.

all right.... like i said! i have successfully rewritten the NV Bands String from stock to one that supports European bands. It loads it in memory and it seems to work well switching from Edge to HSPA+ very quickly unlike the stock string that took for ever to do the same switching.... haven't tested LTE because there is none in my area.... the problem is that upon new NV bands strings gets overwritten by the default string and the problem ensues... i will try to head on to Regensburg tomorrow and test

The amount of threads that have been created just for this silly thing.. Seriously, I don't see why. People should just get the right model, or get a different device.

Verizon Phone Compatibility List?

I hope this question isn't too splattered across the Q&A forums, but after I reached page 10 and not finding my specific question addressed in the present day I feel comfortable posting...
I understand that I am most likely reaching here, but I want an internationally unlocked phone (specifically the OnePlus 3T), and I was wondering if anyone knew if there exists a list for Verizon and all the phones that are compatible with it. Through heavy research/ exhausting known resources I have come up short on finding such a list, if there is one. I also understand that the likely hood of me being able to use anything other than a Verizon dedicated phone is either slim pickins or nonexistent...but a girl can hope
I love my ULD that I am grandfathered into...but at this point, I am not so sure it was worth the switch from T-Mobile's GSM service...
