Hello everyone! Last night I spent about 3 hours installing the JACXHERO-v2.6.6 rom onto my Tmobile G1 using a method from unlockr.com (http://theunlockr.com/2009/08/22/ho...ps2sd-onto-your-g1-or-mytouch-3g-best-method/). Unfortunately, it runs extremely slow right now.
I know I am still new to this and realize there are some veterans on this forum that have a lot more experience with this. Can anyone please suggest to me what to do?
The bottom line is, all i want to do is run a stable and lag free (or fast) Rom.
Thanks guys!
Please post any questions in the Q&A subforum.

I have a Fuze running 6.1 professional. I would like to upgrade to 6.5 professional. I have never flashed a ROM before. Is there anyone on here that could give me a helping hand... ? It would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the Forums and just getting into tweaking my fuze. I know this is kind of a noob thing to ask sorry guys.
go to the rom development thread. There's various stickies there that will answer all your questions.
Use this thread..

I just flashed to a new rom on my Fuze for the first time today, and it's working wonderfully. I'm using Energy Rom Phoenix 2, and it's working great. Just make sure you turn the brightness down. It was killing my battery earlier in the day.

I got HardSPL from this thread..

because the one in the first thread is RapidShare and it was taking forever..
Hey guy, sorry for the post in the general forum, but I don't have enough posts to post in the Droid 3 section of the website. I've been following the threads in there for a couple months now, and I've rooted my Droid 3 and flashed quite a few different ROMs on there, but I was looking into creating my own, or at least starting with someone else's as a base.
I made sure to do a pretty thorough Google search before posting here, but most of the ROM creation guides I've found are pretty device specific. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to write a guide for creating/modding a ROM for the Droid 3, or at least give me some pointers on how to get started
(BTW, I'm a programmer with a bit of experience, but no Android dev experience whatsoever, just giving a point of reference).
Thanks!
Sorry, just noticed the thing about questions going into the Q&A section. This is more of a request than a question, but if a mod feels like it should be moved than feel free to do so. I'd do it myself, but I can't move the post (and since it's more of a request than a question, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to).
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Bump, anyone?
i'm curious to know the same thing, but about the LG Vortex (a CDMA Optimus One Variant)
anyone?
Hi guys
first time posting but have been lurking for a couple of years now since getting my Hero 2 years ago (always found the answers to any questions hence not had the need to post and be a pain ). Anyhow got a nice shiny new Sensation yesterday and have put the above mentioned ROM onto it without any issues.
However since updating to this nice ROM I've lost the ability to download apps from the market place through the web as opposed to on the phone (which works fine). I tend to find this way a hell of a lot easier than doing it through the phone.
Anyhow I've reinstalled the ROM after finding a post similar to this but to no avail. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I've missed or done wrong.
Many thanks for you help
ps I would have posted at the end on the ARHD3.6.5 thread in the developers section rather than start a new thread, but i don't have the necessary credentials to do that yet.

Hello again,
i am just browsing through all the roms available, do you know if/which ICS roms got face2unlock?? I really like to test its functionality!
thx in advance
Why did you feel the need to post this identical thread for the second time?
Im sorry, it's a doublepost, I didn't intend to ask my question twice. Shame on me.
Please delete.
Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum.
I checked some other threads to make sure they don't have the exact criteria that i'm posting and
couldn't find anything, so to the mods, i'm sorry if this has already been discussed.
Please notify me and I will re-route to the correct thread.
I've had an htc aria(liberty, gratia) for the past two years and I rooted it and flashed cyanogenmod but that was the extent of my knowledge.
I've now switched carriers to Sprint and am running a MotoPhoton Q 4g Lte(rooted and custom recovery).
The reason for this post is I've noticed what seems to be a general lack of developers for this device (partially because the stock rom is very efficient), but I would like to start contributing.
I've got plenty of free time and would consider myself generally competent, and i've browsed the android developer's site for app building.
The question I present to the community (particularly developers) is how did you learn the system and get to where you are? What tools did you find easiest to use that also helped you learn the essentials? I would particularly like to develop roms and platforms, but would it be best to start with apps?
I hope my questions were clear and correctly placed, thanks in advance for any replies!
EDIT: this should be in Q&A
Moved. At least you realised where it should be so happy to help
Thanks
AvRS
Google has a nice training center for sdk & dev, might be a good starting point.
