Are you kidding? This few simple dialogues are no problem even
for completely non english speaking persons by just playing around

customize with any resource editor. Give it a try...

It looks beautiful, nice job, continue developing for Polaris please Hoping to see releases from you soon, thanks
Just to let you know this did not work on my polaris.
I have an Orbit 2 that i haven't had time to upgraded the ROM on so its the stock o2 windows mobile 6.1 with 1.59.44.02 radio that i have upgraded.
When i installed the cab, did a soft reset and attempt to enable it said that there was an error and it couldn't load the driver. After that i had no sound whatsoever. When i uninstalled this my sound returned.
Has anyone any ideas what the problem is?
thanks

the same for me!!! some driver misssing!!!
Same here... and no sound anymore! Even after deinstallation and soft-reset!!! It's not compatible with win 6.1!
But uninstall isn't enough: I think it is the wavedev-entries in the registry! Can somebody please export his Wavedev in registry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev] for me or give me all values in there? Thank you so much!!!
Okay, I did a little reasearch. Try this cab here. This will do the job for the polaris with windows 6.1
SRS Wow HD, seriously screws up your sound irreversably ALL THE TIME. When you turn off the SRS, it doesn't revert your sound to factory, it reverts it to garbage, same with when you uninstall SRS. As for using SRS, it sounds decent, but the fidelity of your sound is lost. Try plugging your cruise into an aplified system and crank up the volume. You'll notice that the sound starts to clip and degrade much more quickly than before as the volume goes up.
I used to use this program all the time, until I realised what I was missing after a hard reset reverted me to factory sound once again.
EDIT: And to the people who asked about bluetooh, yes it can be made to work with bluetooth after a registry change, however, like I said before, you don't gain very much using this program.
does anyone know if its possible with our phone?
Voodoo Sound?
Turn the volume up while in call with the bluetooth on?

the problem was actually on a bluetooth speaker i have. i opened it and had to trim the circutboard to make the board and speaker fit in a very small area and i had to cut off the volume + button from the circutboard and i lowered the volume on accident and could not raise the volume to were i can hear it thats why i wanted to raise the max volume for the bluetooth but after messing with a small strand of copper wire i was able to pull a macgyver and raise the volume back up

If you really want it to be a lot louder and distorted just go to the android market and download the free "Galaxy Tuner" has a lot of options for other stuff besides just the sound/volume and so on.....
So ever since I got this phone, I've been dissatisfied with the audio quality. No matter what I did, no matter which equalizer I tried, the sound was too low, too muffled, and just plain BAD. I bought a new bluetooth car stereo this week & I haven't even been able to enjoy it that much cause the streaming audio sounds like ear-rape. Tonight I was messing around with Bloat Freezer and I noticed a system app on the list called "Music enhancer". I wondered if this had anything to do with the craptastic audio quality, so I decided to freeze it & see what happened. To my joy, my music now sounds FAR better! It's like night & day, no more crackling, no more muffled audio
I dunno if anyone else is having problems with audio of if this little trick has already been discovered, but I figured I'd share with the class either way. Don't forget to hit that thanks button if I've helped you out
EDIT: You must be temp-rooted to do this.
Will give this a try, thanks

This was what I thought too, it sounded like there was a hidden equalizer on the 'terrible' setting in there somewhere.

Just edited my first post to include that you have to be temp-rooted to do this. Head over to the sensation android development section & download one of the temp-root packages(I recommend Eugene's- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161283). Follow the instructions to temp-root your phone if you wanna do this trick. Feel free to PM me if you need any help doing this

I guess that means I've disabled it.
@the radius kid, no that just means you have your phone on silent lol

enhancer through titanium backup. I tried playing a song before and after and didn't notice any difference. when you tried it, was it with a music file or like ringtones and stuff. It seems like you may be on to something there.

Unfortunately, this way won't keep it turned off for long, it'll eventually restart. The only way to really "kill" apps until we get real root is to temp root & freeze them.

I'm playing music. I haven't noticed much difference with ringtones. I really dunno if this tweak will work for everyone, YMMV, but hopefully now that we have some clues we can delve a bit deeper into this issue. One thing that you might try though, is disabling it via ADB. I've noticed that some frozen apps don't get totally frozen unless you do it with ADB.
Froze it using Titanium Backup. Testing now.
OP - in the HTC Music app, Settings > Sound Enhancer, did you have that set to "None"?
I do and the sound on my phone is quite good, without your procedure.
I actually find that the Music Enhancer HELPS my audio quality. Without it, its like listening to music with the headphones sitting on a table in front of me rather than on my ears...
I guess I am just lucky? I have none of the problems that others have been reporting...All except for one big one...DUST UNDER THE SCREEN! (Im on the 2nd phone too!)

This Android stuff takes some getting used to.
The only thing I'm finding is that I have to kill the app' again when I restart the phone, otherwise it does seem to make a difference.
Always get a clicking sound when audio starts regardless of the source with and without this fix.
Just like my Nexus 1, this phone has crap audio quality over headphones and on the speaker. not to mention the mic. HTC seems to always cheap out on these components, my Nexus S was FAAAR superior in this regard. Although I sold it for the bigger screen, and more powerful processor.
Wish there was a way to restore a backup of DSP Manager. I've tried with TB, but the restore option is not available.

So not sure what's up, using that icecream fake rom and OC kernel, and I hear audio hissing most noticible through headphones when there is a noise, there is a hissing going on. It stops after audio stops though, not sure what's up.
I don't know if my rom and kernel are related to this, may have been here before? Anyone else notice this?
Try putting different rom and see the issue is still there cauz I been running ice cream rom with faux123's kernel and never had single problem like this.

Just tried this and still the same problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426590
Guess my phone is broken?
Also tried returning the ICS one to stock same problem. Also tried it on my hd595 headphones, same problem.
I should mention it does it on the speakers as well, but it's much less noticible.
Do factory reset and if its still bad than you have bad hardware.

It's not your ROM its he audio chip in the phone. There is a thread in skyrocket general where we have been discussing it.
Only workaround is bluetooth or higher quality headphones kinda mask it.

Wait so all phones do this? But I mean it's so loud... well there is a tiny scratch on it too, might as well replace it anyway.
I can't use bluetooth headphones though because I have an icontrolpad and I don't think it can connect to multiple audio devices. Oh well, I don't use it for heavy music stuff, but I mean it's just really loud that hissing.

Hey all,
Everything was fine and dandy with calls being loud and clear, until about a few days ago.
One day the call quality from my side just randomly went from great to terrible.
I can hear the other side just fine, but from my side its really low-volume and barely hearable.
Things I've tried:
-Flashing different radios (25R,30O,33R,Find7, radio from the latest nightlies)
-Flashing different ROMs and kernels
-Switching network modes (LTE, 3g, 2g)
-Combinations of the above
If anyone has experience dealing with issues like this/knows anything to improve the call volume from my side, any help would be very much appreciated.

Yup, the speakerphone works great but its inconvenient.
Gutted to have such a basic function impaired.
Hopefully this issue will be fixed by the next OTA, which should be next week around Monday.
Same here. My call quality is really bad. When I am speaking on the phone I'm typically running around desperately trying to find a quieter place, with the phone held up to my left ear and a finger plugged right into my other ear, hunched over like Quasimodo in a desperate attempt to understand 50% of what the other person is saying.
I learned one thing from the OPO. You actually do get exactly what you pay for. Lesson learned. :good:
win
So, after updating to the latest version of vanir and re-flashing the 33R radio, my in-call volume magically got back to normal.
I wish everyone affected best of luck and patience :fingers-crossed:
OPO hype much more than the phone deserves. Not going to last long

It's a very simple fix if rooted. You need to edit a value in mixer_paths.xml. Some custom ROMs increase the value.

No you'll need root or custom recovery to flash the zip unfortunately. Otherwise you will need to wait for your ROM to be updated. CM have merged this in their commits so hopefully if your on stock CM11S you'll see this in the next update.
