Somewhat lost..

I'm new to convergence devices and i just bought an imate jam "used", didn't come with anything, but I would like to upgrade to the latest ROM. I tried reading the sticky thread on top, but i got confused. I followed the steps, but I couldn't find the file that he stated on there. Then I just tried to upgrade it by clicking "next" on the "welcome to device software update utility" window, but that also failed, it said, "the ROM update you're trying to install is not for the device". Can anyone guide me through this?

Explain your problem better. Some specifics please.
Maybe you just need to use cracked baupgradeut.exe utility, because you try to upgrade with rom that's correct for your device but from other vendor.

I'm trying to upgrade the ram by using the ROMs stored here: ftp://xda-developers.com/Magician/Shipped_ROMS/
I've tried several of them, but whenever it reaches the end, it keeps saying wrong country code. I thought mine was a WWE, but that didn't work and I tried the UK, that also didn't work.

You should dawnload Maupgrade_noID.exe and extract all files from the ROMs in ftp shipped and than put this Maupgrade file in the same folder with the extracted files from the ftp ROM and then run Maupgrade_noID.exe. First time you will get again wrong ID code but you will need to run again Maupgrade_noID.exe and it will work. Attached Maupgrade_noID.exe.

HTC Artemis problem, help required please

I flashed my O2 XDA orbit with a HTC Artemis rom long back. Yesterday while using Route 66 GPS software I got a message that some .config file was corrupted and now the touch screen is not working. I tried to flash the ROM but its giving me an error at 3% saying "Image file is corrupted". Trying to flash from the SD card is not working either.. Need help. I am out of my home country currently and need my phone to work desperately cause of my GPS software to find my way around

I am trying to flash the original rom onto the device and I am getting an error "Invalid Model ID"...heeellllpppp

re download the rom and flash, assume you have access to a pc?

you sure you have a CID unlocked device??

yup I am sure I did that. I had installed a ROM on it earlier downloaded from this forum. I remember I had downloaded one ROM from this forum quite some time back which updated the device without restarting(the device) from the cmd prompt of the PC. WE had to manually type the commands to update the ROM. Dont remember more details...Can anyone tell me where I can find that ROM...

[Q] Cannot update my Desire HD to 2.3 because of Clockwork Recovery Mod

Hello good people,
I have unlocked HTC Desire HD,
It is unlocked.
One of my friends rooted it (although i don't understand what it means) and installed Clockwork Recovery Mod 3....
I have a system update for 2.3
I downloaded it and when I try to install it, system reboots and stops with triangle and exclamation mark inside it with android robot picture.
How can I completely remove this clockwork thing? I already uninstalled ROM manager. But when i do factory reset, this thing always appears....
please help!!!
All I want is get this system update for 2.3

A week ago I had the same problem .. after long searches I found the following solution: from tis site ,il trie to send to you via pm! I downlodad a room and I installed and then I managed to do update .... I hope to be helpful .. you how to install: After you got on your site above the specified version of software in .exe ,connect the phone to computer via USB and in your computer click 2times on the .exe rom and follow the instructions ,at the end of the process you shoud be abel tu upgrade ... if everything goes right! luck.

Hi guys,i recently found your site and is fantastic,it has everything about mobile phones.i have qtek 9000/htc universal a friend gave me to me because he fail to update it and i want now to update the rom,i read some faq's here and i try to update it but something happened and when i opened my phone and it only showed serial and above that v1.i searched forum and i find the solution,now it opens correctly but it stuck when it says to allign the monitor,sorry for my english i hope you understand my problem.htc can connect with my pc,can sychronize but i dont know what rom can i use and how to update,if someone can send me link with a tutotrial?i think i messed up and i follow wrong tutotials.htc universal has 64 mb and i think is 3g i cant figured out i am confused

of course 10 other files are the result of extract the ROM file you need to download first
MaUpgradeUt_NoID.exe just a file utility..

Hi there i'm looking for a rom for my HTC Windows phone.
It haves a Vodafone Branding on load. The europe roms are don't working
It is an

UEFI -0.0.3030.0(181178)
I can't start this handy because there was an Update and the update dosn't finish, so my phone always try to install this update. The hard resett doesn't work, because i don't geht the Symbole to resett this Handy. so i know i must flash the ROM but i Don't know wich one i need to use to flash this.

but i alwas becam the Error: ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID by 1% or 24%

You have to buy a usb y-cable and then you can flash any rom with a matching radio version and high enough windows version (if you had 8.1 update 1, can't go below 5.20).

So i have trying this with two Roms:
WindowsMania_ACCORD_U_BLUE_00_EEU_5.20.401.01_1.20b.32.19.04_15.67b.32_RETAIL_ENC_RELEASE.nbh
and
IMG_ACCORD_U_BLUE_00_MR_hTC_Asia_WWE_5.20.707.02_1.20b.32.19.04_15.67b.32_RETAIL_ENC_RELEASE.nbh
the Radio is definitely the right one and u just say "(if you had 8.1 update 1, can't go below 5.20)" u see there is 5.20
So my Phone try to flash but if it is by 3% (Main os) there came an error:
DongleFail:EfiRead Error
can u help me?
My UEFI: 0.0.3030.0(181178)
My Radio: 1.20b.32.19.04_15.67b.32.19
My OS: 5.20.401.01
what do u need to know more?
