cant get mms to work on wm6.5 - HTC Vox

hello
i have now tested 7 wm 6.1-6.5 roms
i do like the WM6.5 CLEAN v3.0 ROM by fireburned
but i cant find the place for the settings for mms in any of the cooked roms
on my ship rom i can find it in (messaging/ high light mms/ press menu/ settings/ menu/ mmsc settings )
but all the cooked roms i have looked at does not have this place
does any one know how to put the settings in " http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms/ "
thanks for your help because i am stuck
thanks
marcus

I have the same problem as you, but have not found a way to get MMS working.
SMS are ok but not MMS.
Looks like going back to a Vodafone rom

same here, fine on 6.1 but the mms settings aint there on this rom ?

Go to "setting" go to "more", then "more" again. "MMS Setting" is the first in the list.

MMS Settings

I've search high and low, ive got an MMS message waiting on my carriers server but it won't let me download it, I have the settings but i just don't have anywhere to put them in, at the moment im using: [DIFFERENT BUILD!!] Universal WM6 (Touch) Rom [Final (no further development)] by Lt.Cmdr.Ivan, does anyone have a work around or can point in the right direction where to put these settings?
ok after a bit more looking i finally found where the settings are:
go to new MMS > menu > options > servers
kinda well hidden but deffinatly there
thought i'd reply for anyone else who has the problem in the future

Upgraded from WM5 to WM6, now cannot configure MMS Settings

I have an Orange SPV M600 which used to have WM5 (MMS worked fine) but now I've 'upgraded' to WM6 (carefully following the instructions) using one of the cooked ROM versions and everything works wonderfully *except* for MMS. Basically, there are no configurable options for MMS inside the messaging program (you know, open the messaging program, click on menu BUT there is no 'MMS Configuration' option).
I seem to remember in the previous bog standard Orange WM5 version that 'MMS Composer' (manufactured by Arcsoft) appeared inside messaging but inside my new cooked WM6 it isn't. Can it be installed? Does it need to be installed? Is there a cab file that can install this? I'd really like to try and avoid formatting and having to try another ROM because of all the configuarion I've done...
Thanks guys
mms setting
try going to messaging> new mms> create the mms> then at the bottom of the phone usually the right soft key hit menu> options> mms options
hope this helps

MMS Problems, Any Solutions?

It seems to me that any ROM i flash on to my Kaiser will never let me send out MMS messages.
I have removed the "hidden proxy"
I did set up the proper T-Mobile configurations for the MMS service
I do have Arcsoft MMS Composer 4.2.8.1
And still, can't send or receive anything? Please help me out, I did try searching for answers and nothing has helped me out.
Thank you for your time..

I'm not sure what network your on, or country but you could try sending a mms to yourself and see if it works.
I use MMS regularly and it has worked for me on most ROMS that I have flashed from this forum including Dutty's. Have you called your service provider?

I'm on T-Mobile in Peoria, AZ, USA. I have tried sending a MMS and it stays on 0%. Then just stays in drafts.
My MMS use to work before when ROMS had a "Auto Configure" pre-loaded.
It seems that whenever I have to enter the configurations manually it never seems to work?
try this...
go back to 4.0whatever it is and see if that fixes it.

When you are in Messages, go to Menu>MMS Options>Servers - highlight the setting (mine says "AT&T MMS), double tap on it and it opens up a page of Settings:
Server: AT&T MMS or whatever yours is
Gateway: wireless.congular.com (get this from your carrier)
Port number: 80 (the default I think, but check with your carrier)
Server address: http://mmsc.cingular.com (whatever T-Mobile says it should be)
Connect via: << now here you have a drop-down menu - make sure you pick the one that you use for your general internet connecting (e.g. I can connect with either MediaNet or AT&T WAP - I just have to be sure they both match when I go to send an MMS)
Send limit: 600k (only option on my drop-down box - I know on my 8125 it was only 300k)
This fixed it for me, see if it helps you.
Thanks for the info but I've done that many times.
Like I've said I have configured and re-configured the settings..
And disabled the "hidden proxy" so now I'm not sure what could be the problem?

You can get it from my signature website below
Ok, will do..
Quick question for you Dutty.
I see that you have uploaded the "Dutty's New Build + NETCF 3.5 Lite Rom NO.6" on the server insted of the "Dutty's New Build + NETCF 5 Lite Rom NO.6" which I'm currently running..
Which would you personally recommend?

There are two lite roms one for at&t with new radio and drivers and one just htc brand
ok so the NETCF 5 brand has the HTC brand because that's the one I'm running.
But isn't NETCF 3.5 more like "40%" faster than NETCF 5 ??
Heh, because I do want the HTC brand, but you should make the Ultimate HTC Rom for all the Non-At&t users.

WM6.1 MMS Problems

I've had a search of the forum and can't find anything related.
I flashed my S710 (actually Vodafone V1415) with Dr. Gonzos excellent WM6.1 ROM a few months back and its been fantastic so far.
My only issue is that I cannot send MMS messages? I get an error saying 'unable to send message' and they just sit in the outbox until the message fails and is moved to drafts.
I've used the HTC connection setup utility and my GPRS settings and connection work fine but I just can't send MMS messags.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
check vodafone's site, they may changed the gateway ip and the other parameters.
I had issues getting MMS to work as well.
I am on O2 but this is worth a try:
Run the HTC connection wizard
MMS > Menu > Tools > Options
Account settings > Menu > MMSC Settings
'o2 active' (this will obviously be the Vodafone equivalent) MMS > Menu > Edit
Change the current 'connect via' to 'WAP Network'
This got mine working - I hope it works for you.
Thanks for the suggestions but still no go...
Anyone with 6.1 on contract Vodafone who could possibly share their settings?
Thanks

APN setting on CEDAR100 ozone?

Hello all, I have a HTC OZone running WM 6.5 that I talked verizon into giving me the unlock and now I have it running on t-mobile. I want to set it up to use the $10 unlimited web like my Iphone but dont see APN settings, is there a rom flash to add them?
Start-Settings-(6)Connections and then you will see (5)Proxy - by default, this might be blank or a WAP Proxy & you will need to one for T-Mobile (T-Zones) Proxy for it to work with APN
Start-Settings-Phone and then More, (3)Networks & you will need to switch to GSM Only. Then, under Connections, you should see GPRS (new) in addition to Proxy & by default, "VZW Embedded GSM" and this is where you create your T-Mobile settings for WAP.
As I recall, some of this might be initially hidden until you press the right soft menu key where "advanced settings" are sometimes available for edits or new entry.
I had trouble with getting the limited T-Zone working on the unlocked Ozone as I could never get it to work with the older Q running 6.1 custom rom but 3VO and/or running WM6.5 cooked rom is fine. Good luck ....
