Ok so I get the fact that if you soft reset when it installs all of the bloatware then it will cancel the install. However, I have done search but the answer was not very clear. When I stop the bloatware from being installed, does that mean I going to have to cinfigure all of the mms settings and internet settings? If so then when were would I find those settings for the at&t tilt? Also, will the cellular video cab for the 8525 work on the tilt or does someone need to make a new version? Any answers on this stuff would be greatly appreciated and like i said earlier, the search did not really give me a definite answer.
did the search not give you a deffinate answer or just not the one your looking for? You can find the MMS and WAP setting by search for Cingular MMS settings on google and this forum and also the cingular video will work with MediaNet as your ISP settings.
It still has proper internet settings. Haven't check the MMS though...
or you can always boot it up normally with all the bloatware, copy all the settings, and then hard reset and do the anti-bloatware boot.
I read that the att.cab file is the settings cab which you can install separately after un-hiding the install cabs on the tilt...? can anyone verify this?
The soft reset upon initial configuration on the tilt should leave the media net (3g) settings in tact...i dont know about the MMS yet but text messages, internet and push email with my exchange server work fine right now.
If any of those settings need manual configuration, all those settings can be found here.
One thing I noticed is the connection profile MEdia Net does not have the proxy settings out the box. The support page will have you input those settings. I find it's not necessary with the auto proxy detect in place. Also using MEdia Net with proxy settings may not allow CV to work.

MMS works fine. The only thing you may want to do is download the enable and disable proxy cabs. Check out this thread on HoFo: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1257055
I've had a search of the forum and can't find anything related.
I flashed my S710 (actually Vodafone V1415) with Dr. Gonzos excellent WM6.1 ROM a few months back and its been fantastic so far.
My only issue is that I cannot send MMS messages? I get an error saying 'unable to send message' and they just sit in the outbox until the message fails and is moved to drafts.
I've used the HTC connection setup utility and my GPRS settings and connection work fine but I just can't send MMS messags.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
check vodafone's site, they may changed the gateway ip and the other parameters.
I had issues getting MMS to work as well.
I am on O2 but this is worth a try:
Run the HTC connection wizard
MMS > Menu > Tools > Options
Account settings > Menu > MMSC Settings
'o2 active' (this will obviously be the Vodafone equivalent) MMS > Menu > Edit
Change the current 'connect via' to 'WAP Network'
This got mine working - I hope it works for you.
Thanks for the suggestions but still no go...
Anyone with 6.1 on contract Vodafone who could possibly share their settings?
Thanks
Hi,
Just hard-resetted my touch pro, and now i cant make e-mail work.
All email account settings have same as before, so its pretty much hopeless.
Internet browser works fine.
Its on t-mobile, and every time i try to connect to new e-mail account, i got error message: "cant connect with current settings".
What am i missing?
Any help?

OK - found my reply in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2633874
To save u the hassle I'll paste agian it here:
I've been pulling my hair out over this for a few hours and FINALLY solved it. For me the issue seem that when T-Mobile downloads all its settings to the phone the Internet service is called "T-Mobile Internet" where the email settings are trying to use "Internet" (which then no longer exists).
So in short - this is how I fixed it...
At you mail inbox: Menu > Tools > Options > Click ur email account > Edit Account Setup > press Next until you get to the Outgoing (SMTP) Mail server settings page > Click the Advanced Server Settings link at the bottom > change Network connection to your internet provider instead of the default "Internet" (e.g. mine's "T-Mobile Internet") > carry on through the pages until finished. It should now connect without the Error Synchronising message.

does any one know how to put the settings in " http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms/ "
thanks for your help because i am stuck
thanks

I have the same problem as you, but have not found a way to get MMS working.
SMS are ok but not MMS.
Looks like going back to a Vodafone rom
same here, fine on 6.1 but the mms settings aint there on this rom ?
Go to "setting" go to "more", then "more" again. "MMS Setting" is the first in the list.
So I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2 that I unlocked with HardSPL and sim unlocked through htc-unlocks.
I'm currently using the latest release from Mightyrom
I have the Phone calls and texts running no problem on the phone. My issue is with MMS and DATA. As I open the browser it gives me the CANNOT CONNECT screen on my Opera Browser.
I have no ability to send an MMS, As I go to my text message menu, I press NEW, and I have no option to choose "picture", "video", or "MMS" as a message type.
I found these t-mobile settings I guess i'm supposed to enter. Only problem is that I don't know where to enter these.

I'm pulling my hair out here trying to figure this out. I think i'm overcomplicating this
Any and all help is appreciated, thanks folks

Can you elaborate?
There's 8 options under the "connections" tab, and i've looked in all of them and don't see where I can enter any of it.
Anybody else who might have knowledge as well please feel free to chime in and help out. I'm a newbie who's searched everywhere there is, with no luck..
All input is appreciated
After you are at connections I believe you pick manage connections and then new connection and add from there.
settings - connections - connections - manage existing connections - new - choose cellular line (gprs,3g) - next - apn = epc.tmobile.com - next - finish
as far as mms goes I haven't found a way to make it work using mightyrom
