Just bought a HTC Touch Pro with Windows Mobile 6.5. Its unbadged, not locked. I am using TMOBILE sim.
It has Facebook and Windows Live, however neither connects to the internet.

PROBLEM 1 - WINDOWS LIVE - There's a connectivity problem. Make sure you're in a area with good reception and try again.
NOTE - in max signal area, and I can browse the internet, youtube videos etc without issues
PROBLEM 2 - Facebook - Can't connect to facebook. Please check you're connected to the internet.

Seems to have been down to PROXY Server. I unticked use PROXY and they are both working fine now.

Can I know how can I untick the PROXY?

Finally i figured out the trouble i had with my kaiser and with vodafone syncing or using windows live messenger, so i thought share it with the rest of you Cause when searching i saw a couple of yall had the same problem.
in settings - connections - connections - manage existing connections - proxy settings
untick the box with this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet.
Everything should work just fine after that.

Thank you for pointing this out but I think this would have been best to be placed in the Kaiser General or Kaiser Software section
Hi Friends iam from India and i have just bought this New HTC S710 phone its a wonderful phone n m very much pleased with its functionality and features except for using the internet and browsing the websites.
Friends i have used all permutations and applied all possible tricks to start the net but the problem lies the same.
iam unable to use my GPRS and browse websites
if i put the GPRS settings it opens only the wsp:\\ websites that are in the favorites
it opens the Google but when i search something it shows me "errors like internal server error" or "page can not be displayed" or "client cannot display this page" or cannt download or connection failed etc.
although a G/E is displayed on the top right corner
I had talked with the service provider(VODAFONE, INDIA) it says i need to take proper internet settings and get the internet activated only then i will be able to use the internet as GPRS(WAP) doesnt work on this phone and they have no settings to make it work.
M really fedup as i use the GPRS quite alot but m not ready to pay them so much for the internet connections as GPRS is sufficient for my usage.
now the problem with the Wifi
whenever iam in my range of a wifi connection it detects the same properly and gets connected
to the unsecured networks or the public networks its shows a proper signal strength of 40 to 60% but when i try to open the websites it doesnt open n shows similar errors plz help me with this guys m in real need to make the net work 4 me

Hi, i solved my wifi instable connection. Then changed the Power mode to "Best Performance" in WiFi and ok !!!!

I have a HTC viva phone, with spb shell mobile installed. When I try and access both the internet and my messages from hotmail, the message tells me that windows live was unable to establish an internet connection . The data connection mode is on, and I have had it working pre-spb. I do notice the it is trying to open Opera browser, so I wonder if this is thr problem, but how do I stop the internet from using Opera??? I have been through the settings and found nothing...Please help,

i've installed the whatsapp on my sensation
but in the setup stage where it asks me to insert my phone number
after i do that it tries to connect and fails
error : unable to connect. please try again later
this app worked on my previous android phone

Haven't ran into this issue with my reinstall . It did not however send my phone the text I hit send and it acted like it was sending but went past it saying it was verified and let me in the program.

No problems with whatsapp whatsoever. Been using it a LOT.
Only problem with Whatsapp for me is that most contact photos do not show, despite being 'linked'. May try to reinstall if I get annoyed enough.
No issues here. I rely on it heavily. Runs just as flawlessly as it did on my iPhone.
I would suggest just trying it from a different location... Sometimes getting in range of a new tower fixes little data issues like that for me. Or try it on Wifi. Or if you were on Wifi, try it on data network... I think you get the idea
Only issue I have with Whatsapp is sometimes it like refuses to refresh whether the contact is online or not and shows them as "Last seen......" and won't push texts through when I know for a fact the person is online. Annoying, as I will send a text expecting it to go through only to look at my phone half an hour later wondering why the person hasn't texted back only to discover a single check by my message

try syncing facebook for htc sense instead of just facebook.
that sorted my problem and now I have all pics from the contacts showing

I was facing same issues when I checked access point it was different from what I normally use. I changed it and it works fine now

Dear all,
I am on vacation in Cyprus and uppon arriving I have bought a Primetel SIM card as it has free 100mb of traffic.
Primetel uses Cytavodafone netwprk and has the same internet con figuration. I am using Touch pro with stock ROM, and no modification (well I think it has the hspl as I have not reverted it), but it is using the stock FR 6.1 ROM.
The APN settings say that I should only use "internet" in the name, and that the username and password should be empty.
I have configuered a new modem connection with that specification, and I have set it to connect using it when internet is required.
It does connect to the internet, I can see the small G on the network signal bar, but I have no internet. I can not update weather, browse on internet or downlpad quickgps data.
I am using another sim card from the same provider with HD2 running android and it works perfectly.
Please if anyone could help me how make it work on WM 6.1 I would be very greatful.

Comle on people, please help me configure mobile internet on this device. I have done everything by the book and even though I am connected I have no internet. Is there some option I need to turn on oor off in order to make it work.
