oh sorry i meant to "other" qvga devices

It is not gonna be TF3D QVGA...
The new Touch2, who, by the way, looks SWEET, is gonna be with a TF2D version with just some clock animations and weather animations. Surely it's gonna work superb, due to full software drivers for 2D and 3D for gaming, but still, it is not gonna be TF3D in QVGA. Hopefully i did'nt disapoint anyone.
Waiting now for the erly review by phonearena or phonedog, or someone, but still the phone looks SWEET and for many enthusiasts - it's got WM 6.5!!!

oks..sorry if i were mistaken..maybe its just an animated version of touchflo 2D after all, clock display imitate that of the TF3D version though..
Overview is here: http://www.htc.com/www/product/touch2/overview.html

looks very nice

It has to be a TF3D. No way it can be ported to Kaiser.

or maybe we could just use shifu's v17 rom and change the digital clock font and clock background just like the one in TF3D....

No US 3G. Lame.
Europe/Asia: 900/2100 MHz
For Canada, US, South Americas, Australia, South Africa - that's enough to make it almost useless ... no 850Mhz
Ya, NO 3G in US makes this phone crap. I own the original Touch Cruise because it was a tri band 3G phone.
I have noticed that most of the new phones HTC is putting out lack the 3G North America, what gives?!!!

Just a theory, but if you look at their 2009 lineup leak, at least the one that sorta specifies that certain phones are targeted at specific networks in the US...I kinda get the feeling that they want to make sure that certain models that are headed to the US will be the only ones that those in the US are using. It probably isn't a long term strategy, but it makes a little sense to see how well they suited they are for the US market using their own name.
I wouldn't be surprised if they also release a non-subsidized US-centric model that is superior to the carrier models, just as a test to see if they have to rely on carrier subsidies or if they can be successful without playing ball with the carriers exclusively. I suspect this is part of the reason the Diamond was eventually released in a US 3g friendly build.
It's only because of the US carriers... they don't give you enough freedom, as like the carriers in europe... sure we get branding, and network locks, but that's all there is... we didn't deviate from the Asian standards as the US market did oh so long ago...

Chronology of all sliding keyboard devices - Wizard>Herald>Titan>Hermes>Kaiser>...
Back in the day, there were only a few choices of proper business devices with those nice sliding out thumb-boards. Nowadays it seems they are popping up all over the place.
To make it clear, I am NOT talking about those devices with both the screen and keyboard together on the front of the device, it is too cramped in my opinion.
So I want to rank the devices, from worst to best, which is sometimes from oldest to newest.
All Phones:
Full slide out thumbboard (meant for two hand use)
microSD slot (SDHC compatible)
Bluetooth 2.0+
Wifi
Quad band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
CSD, GPRS, EDGE
Mini USB combo jack for data transfer, charging, and headset

I will add more as I find them and have time. In the meantime, feel free to suggest more!
Also note: I did not include any of the Nokia phones such as the Nokia N97, because in my mind it is not in the same class as these devices (i.e. Business professional)
Doesn't the Samsung i730 qualify?

I just want to include those with full thumbboards... if I included the i730 then I would probably have to include the Palm PRE... I think that might be a good comparison as well, all the devices with a one hand thumbboard slider.
I like it lots. Each one was GSM, but titan wasn't??? Maybe include Acer m900?

Acer m900 included, can't believe I forgot that one....
What do you mean about the Titan not being GSM?
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought the titan was the sprint mogul, which doesn't use GSM, hence the incongruity of the sequence of phones.

Perhaps in some places it did not have GSM, but all the models I know of and encountered all ran GSM.
See the Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_TyTN
The titan was cdma. The TyTN was the hermes, which I had as a 8525, I think. 2 different dogs.
Ah yes, the TyTN is not the Titan... I fixed that now... can they be more confusing?
Yeah, well the joke's on you, because if you add the titan, you need to add the htc apache. Plus there's the MWg Zinc, etc., quite a few of them...But enough is enough!
What about the E-TEN devices? You know, Glofish and the like... (http://www.glofiish.com/) M700, M750, M800, M810
i know the keyboard didn't slide but the universal was pretty sweet

Yes, the desire is very cool, i see it in one shop and like very much, but it has the android and i like very much the windows mobile and the simple flash and unlock stuff...very easy to handle...
Why you don't like you HTC HD2?
Porque não gostas do teu HTC HD2?

I´m Thinking on HTC HD2...
PT: Vou vender o meu HTC HD e comprar outro, mas não sei se vou comprar outro com wm ou com android.
Estou a pensar no HTC HD2..

Leo is a great option, has same or even better specs than newer phones and has the chance to boot WM/Android and soon WP7
But there is not really "the best phone"
That will depend on you. What is best for me may not be for you

Seconded. I'd also add that the wifi hotspot functionality is enabled on this phone for no extra charge. Even non-rooted it's a win.
What about between HTC HD2 or HTC 7 devices (Trophy or Mozart, suround).

did I get ripped off ?

I bought my first phone last year and it was the Nexus S. I ended up breaking the screen to an unfixable state so when I paid the $100 deductible I was given the Samsung conquer.... The conquer was awful and it gave out only 3 months after I got it. So sprint then gave me the EVO 3D and the guy there acted as if I was getting a "double upgrade" but I'm still wishing I had my nexus. I'm a tech rookie so I was wondering if the sprint guy was right about the EVO 3D being an amazing phone .

Looking at the specs I would say you did well 1 GHZ single core CPU to a dual core 1.2GHz Snapdragon:good :good:
