Hello,
Before I get slammed, I have been searching through the internet about this isssue.
When I soft reset my Kaiser, I get immediatally a white screen. After a while I see the white screen getting less bright.
When I press the on/of-button twice, to turn the Kaiser off and on, I see the Windows Mobile screen.
I followed the instructions (hyyp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922). Unfortunally it did not help.
I ran JumpSPL and flashed a new official HTC ROM. While flashing the first time it stopped at 17%. After a second try it went to 100%.
But the white screen still exists.
Does anyone have some suggestions?
Thank you in advance!
The problem has been solved.
I did not put my battery out and back in the Kaiser.
Now the white screens are dispeared.

I get these odd white lines across HTC HOME when closing the SMS application in Dutty's new rom. Its like Home doesn't update as fast as the rest of the today screen and is stuck with this odd distortion for a split second or so. Any ideas?
That symptom kinda looks familar, but not sure. I recommend posting that question in the Dutty ROM thread that relates, you will get a more focused audience there.
Good luck.
I did post it in there, but that thread moves so fast that there was no chance anyone saw it. I figured I would put it into its own thread because it is possible people in other roms have the same problem.

Have you found anything to fix it?
Im gonna flash a new rom. Im leaning towards the L26 rom
**Solution**
well I have had that problem also but either of the 2 things i did keeps clearing it up.
1) reinstall the HTC HOME
2) reset the HTC Home theme if you messed with it.
both of those cleared my issue now i just leave the default theme and i have not had to reinstall the HTC Home.
I had a similar issue but it was with the dial pad for the phone.... The screen was white on the bottom half and had red/blue/yellow lines running horizontal behind the numbers. I did a hard reset and still had the same issue, reflashed the rom, same issue. I "fixed" it by installing the black dialer skin.
First of all thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide me.
A while back I installed Alex.v52.ATT.162.Cube.ROM located at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=363865 and all was working as expected. I decided to install Duttys_WM6.1_5.2.19700_Hybrid_V2_1_64.08.21_CubeV2_ ROM located at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=388947 but upon completion all I got was the boot screen. Rebooting did not help so I reinstalled the Alex rom. Upon completion of the installation process of the Alex rom, the phone tried to reboot but nothing happened. It just stayed off. I tried to hard reset and nothing. When connecting to the computer and the power adapter, the charging light does not come on. I tried to change the battery and nothing helps. At this point I am out of things to try so I am posting in hopes someone has had this issue and was able to recover the phone.
Please note that I created a separate thread for this since the Alex rom thread was discontinue and Dutty is no longer supporting the Kaiser.
Thanks!!!!
[edit] sorry, my advice wount deffently not help you here. Just saw that I adviced on another issue.
Did you at all revert from HardSPL? b/c i assume you had it at one time since you flashed alex's rom earlier.

Oh, i was confused by his statement about getting to the boot screen. Hmm, that's way over my head. You might try PM'ing Gsleon3, he is the man to fix that kind of stuff. Be nice to him though

thanks for the post skat's. Nah man i didn't know about that. I have been completely away from phone/internet for the past 2 weeks so didn't have any link to the cyber world. Just got back on yesterday and really hadn't have time to comb through everything i missed so far.
That is a bummer but i guess thats his to decide. I don't plan on getting a diamond but i hope he will cook for touch pro when that comes out.

zeezee: The phone had HardSPL v1 and I did not do anything to update or change it.
One thing I did notice when I removed the battery and used a friend's phone to test if it was working was that it was at 40% and I know that when installing a ROM it calls for the battery to over over 50%. Could this have caused the issue. I did charge it to 100% afterwards and put it back on the phone with no success.

I'm definitely hitting up the touch pro. it looks fantastic. i will miss the tilting keyboard, but it looks so much better.

ah..ouch this might be a tough one
Try this
I've had a similar problem when my device wouldn't power on:
Try holding down both soft keys and pressing the power button if that doesn't work
try holding down both soft keys and pressing the camera button

Unplug the device, remove the battery, take a nap (longer the better), replace the battery, then try powering it again, i had the same thing happen to me when i tried to cooking a ROM, scared the crap out of me. Thought i bricked my phone. but it came back to life after the cycle. You have to make sure that all the juice is gone from the unit, just changing the battery may not have enough time to discharge it, also make sure that the sim door is close and there is no SD card installed, after i got it to turn on i had to flash my device with a SD card cause the USB didn't work.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck
No luck!
Thanks everyone for your input but none of the suggestions worked. I guess next step is to put it up on ebay for parts
Were in the same boat

Camboy06 please do let me know if you find a solution. I only had my Kaiser for a month or so. This obviously hasn't happened to many folks so finding a solution wont be easy.
Thanks!
Try This
Holding the 2 soft keys and pressing the reset button. If not that try holding the camera button and pressing the reset button.
Happened to me too last night. Similar anyway. I was using skype and charging my phone from the charger then it just stopped charging. I soft reset and it still didn't work. Hard reset and that didn't work. The USB port is dead. I'm going to try flashing from the SD card. Maybe that will flash I'm sure but we'll see if it fixes my problem.
I'm not sure/when/where or how, but every time I reset my phone the 1st screen I see is a bios screen.
It says-
HTC Pocket BIOS v8.01
and then lists all the various things like CPU and memory.
I'm pretty sure it started appearing when I flashed one of the million roms I've tried over the last few weeks. I'm quite sure it wasn't there when I first got the phone.
Is there a way to turn this off?
It's from romeos roms. Search how you can change the boot screens.
You can easily change it back to the original splash screen by using THIS.

Excellent.
That made the job a lot easier.
Thanks for your help.
You're welcome!
I wasn't even trying to s-off, root, or do anything like that.
I was just on the market downloading a game, then all of a sudden my phone just hanged.. it had a grey screen, and the four capacitive buttons were lit up. there was no response for like 10 mins so I took out the battery.
Now whenever I try to turn it on, it just gets stuck at the HTC screen.
I tried restarting with volume down, but i didn't know what to do there, nothing seemed to help.
can anyone tell me what i can do??
i gave up and tried to do a factory reset.. but even that doesn't work! it gets stuck on that screen and nothing moves...
i dont get it.. my phone has been fine for 2-3 months, the first time it crashes and this happens... and i havent even attempted to s-off or root!!!
Well, i had this issue, but a battery pull solved it.......... good news for you is that you didn't S-OFF or ROOT it, so you can easily get it replaced.
yeah.. I went to other forums to search about this problem, and to my surprise, I saw that lots of people with Desire S has had this problem.
It mostly happened to people who were in the middle of updating apps in the market. The phone doesnt boot pass the HTC white screen, and factory reset doesn't work.
I will probably have to be without my phone for a week.. sigh.. it's going to be torture
