Visible Bios - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I'm not sure/when/where or how, but every time I reset my phone the 1st screen I see is a bios screen.
It says-
HTC Pocket BIOS v8.01
and then lists all the various things like CPU and memory.
I'm pretty sure it started appearing when I flashed one of the million roms I've tried over the last few weeks. I'm quite sure it wasn't there when I first got the phone.
Is there a way to turn this off?

It's from romeos roms. Search how you can change the boot screens.

You can easily change it back to the original splash screen by using THIS.

burned into the screen?

Hi, My problem is that sometime stuff get's bruned into the screen. If i reboot my device the problem is solved but what happends if i don't do a reboot?
Thanks in advance, P.S i will try to get a img so i can show you guys what i mean.
Hi.
I made a thread about it some time ago, but apparently not many of us have this problem. Anyway, I also had it, but it goes away after some time with screen off. Also I've disabled auto brightness (left 25%) and I haven't noticed it coming back for quite a while.
I have started noticing a little bit of screen burning, mainly with the clock, but that's about it.
havent faced such problem, It would be great if you post a screenshot

I wonder if you try using the fast reboot application from the market whether that would be a faster and simpler way to resolve the problem than a full device reboot (saver battery too)
Swyped from my Desire S using XDA Premium
Okay i will try to take a SS but it really hard to see it on the camera because i failed at the gym and dropped my ds on the floor and the screen cracked

Okay will try that, i often get it when i read on the web. the zoom in and zoom out buttons get stuck

Display issues, wierd colorful pixel-noise AND phone unresponsive

Sometimes, after I wake up my phone from sleep the screen shows a wierd colorful pixely noise as shown in the picture, and it doesn't respond to anything besides the power button turning off the screen.
cannot post link, i(dot)imgur(dot)com/TrI3w(dot)jpg
Replace (dot) with . but I hope you understood that
(Sorry for the bad quality, only camara besides my phone was this crappy old digital cam, but it gets the point across)
Sometimes it gets back to my normal lock screen after leaving it to be for a few seconds, but more often than not does it kinda 'lock up' in this mode with me unable to do anything with my phone. Sometimes pulling the battery and starting my phone works and will allow me to continue work/browsing as usual. Other times (right now) it goes back into the 'lock up' right away. Aand it just popped back to normal, this took around 5 minutes, give or take.
I know that when the screen locks up my music continues, for I have listened to music with the screen locked up. I am not sure if my alarm will continue to work as I have not tested it. I can also turn the ringtone volume up/down.
It seems to 'lock up' after long periods of inactivity as I have previously put my phone to sleep and woke it without the issue arising. This was whilst I was chatting. I have not been able to recreate the 'lock up' on demand, aside for just leaving it asleep for extended periods of time.
I hope there is a solution to this problem, and I'd preferably not wipe my contacts etc. I have no idea how I can keep my data through a reinstall, so if I'd have to reinstall then if someone could link me to a thread that explains how to keep data would be awesome.
The phone is a HTC Sensation, 8 years old. This is what it says in the 'about phone' tab.
Code:
Model number
HTC Sensation Z710e
Android version
4.0.3
Baseband version
11.65.3504.00U_11.19.3504.29_2
Kernel version
3.0.16-v1.30.2
SebastianFM#1
Build number
HyperNonSense v1.5 (3.32.401.5)
As you can tell, the ROM isn't the regular HTC Sense ROM, so that might cause issues. I am currently unsure whether the kernel is custom or not.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated! I hope I can fix this problem.
PS I'm sorry if this topic is a repost of any kinds, I've done a quick search for some terms that came to mind but couldn't find a thread that fit my problem.

Well for starters, Google syncs all your contacts online so once you restore your phone you'll get your contacts back. To me, it reminds me of the same issue I used to have with my Motorola Cliq: systematic hardware failure. The touch screen is starting to go. Which is why only your power button works.
But before we announce the end of your phone, why don't you do this so I can try to help:
Download "GO Backup" and back everything up.
Reboot into recovery and create a backup from there.
Wipe data, cache, and system
Install Virtuous Inquisition (I'm familiar with the ROM and it can help eliminate the possibility that it's the ROM doing the damage)
Set up your phone and restore using go backup. Then Try to induce the problem one you reload all your things
After that, let me know what the end result is

I will do this as soon as I regain control over my phone. It has been stuck on this screen for 10 minutes straight now. It really feels like standard electronics failure, starting off small and only on minor occasion and ending in a big endless failure. ****.
There is no wipe system option in my recovery ?
EDIT: Found it, got the ROM working. Screen issue still arises.

Replying since I'm not sure you'd read my EDIT
Display issue still arises, which means it's an internal hardware issue isn't it?
Does anyone have any experience with opening it up and seeing whether there's a connector loose or something? As I think installing a custom ROM kinda voids the warranty so I wouldn't be able to send it to HTC for repairs right?
Any Updates?
My phone started doing this this week and is now in what seems to be a permanent state of evil pixel screen. Have you had any luck fixing yours? If so, how? Thanks

It was a hardware issue, contact HTC support and they'll hook you up with a pickup and return service. If your warranty still covers that at least.

I'm having the same problem here

Touchscreen doesn't work for first few seconds

This was one of the similar threads found, but it didn't give me a solution. I messed around with the different CPU governor's but none of them solve my problem. When I unlock the phone, it doesn't respond well to my touch for a few seconds. I'm using CM10 and I've never had this problem before. It only came up recently when I replaced my lcd and digitizer because I was having touchscreen problems. Now the problems are mostly gone except at the lock screen. I've tried 3 different roms (one was a Sense 3.6 rom) and they all had this problem. Outside of the lock screen, it mostly worked well except inside the "phone app" in the sense rom. I called someone and they didn't hear it ringing, so it went to voicemail. I didn't want to record a message so I pressed end call like 30 times but it didn't work until i took out the battery. It happens in CM10 too, but its not as bad, usually ends the call after the 3rd or 4th time.
To troubleshoot the problem, I turned on "Show touches-show visual feedback for touches" under Developer options. I also made this video so you guys can see what it looks like.

Take a look at this thread, maybe it helps. I would say update your firmware to 3.33, and try cleaning and pulling out the gray pin on the back of the phone. Hope it helps
Did you replace the digitizer yourself? If yes, I'd go back and make sure nothing is wrong. Make sure everything is properly put back together. Hope this helps. best wishes.

I did replace it myself and I think that's probably the problem but my dad is refusing to help me take it apart again. We're going to go to a cell phone repair store to see if they can give us some advice, then he'll probably agree to open it up again and see what's going on.

It looks like you've opened 2 treads for the same problem, so here's what I answered you earlier - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34955821&postcount=3
Ah yes, I made some new discoveries since then and I forgot to check on that thread so I ended up making a new one. The digitizer/lcd I bought is supposedly new, and it's the one that says HTC in the middle (no T-Mobile logo on the side) I'm updating Cyanogen Mod to the newest version and flashing new firmware, so if that doesn't fix it then that'll rule out software issues. After that, I'll re-install the lcd/digitizer and see if I can get it to work.
Also, you said "when you change displays it's never the same as the original" I've been looking through hundreds of forums and many people have successfully replaced their screen only for the problem to come back again a few weeks later. I'm thinking it has something to do with static buildup caused by third-party batteries or chargers, as seen in this thread that i forgot to mention. I've changed my charger so all that remains is taking apart the screen again.
Thanks to dennis8, my screen is now fixed. He linked me to this thread and it worked right away after that. Finally my freaking phone works :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Black Screen!

First of all, I wanna say HI to all, cuz NOW am a REGISTERED MEMBER, here on this greate forum!
Secund, thanx to all u out there working ur best, to make it easy for us helpless hehe
Now to the subject!
Got a One X that does not start like it should. I think its something I can solve with my two hands, and hopefully not something too hard for me, to send it to some hardware fixer in some factury?!
The following things happens when I PRESS THE ON/OFF-START-button!
1- The red-charging-light turns OFF
2- The phone vibrates.
3- The red-charging-light turns ON
2- HTC Sync starts, and even "folder options" by Windows 7, there I can select to view whats on the memory, like a USB-stick.
And thats it. The screen remains black. Even in a darkroom, there were no light on the screen at all.
The phone is about a year old and I dont think its broken at all. But its the first time a phone is going black-screen on me, so dont actually know what or how to do.
Thats why I turn to u guys, and hope that you can help me in the right direction!
Big thanx from me and especially Iraq & Sweden!

OK, so it's starting like it should but black screen....
Try this - power your phone off then hold the volume down and the power button at the same time. Should start you up on a white bootloader screen. If you don't see the white screen, it's probably a hardware problem with your screen itself :crying: Do you still have warranty?
The "black screen" issue is a fairly common hardware problem from all accounts. It happened to me this past weekend. It's not clear what causes it, but a lot of people have experienced it.
I got AT&T to upgrade me early to a One. I've been fooling around with my One X, but nothing has solved it. I ran the 3.18 ruu on the chance it was a software issue, and it made no difference.
Game Over!

Hello again and thank you for your answers.
I'm really disappointed with this phone. I did not know it would be difficult and so complicated.
It's not even used much and now dead?!
I've tried everything now. Read through many forums and especially on XDA. Tested with different combinations of keys, installation of RUU and even tried to open it and see what the problem is ... BUT NOTHING
Why should this happen to this phone / model?
Always had HTC and never seen anything like this. Really disappointed: (
That said, I have not been able to solve this problem, but many thanks to you for taking the time to respond and give me tips.
Thanks / Yunyii
try putting pressure on the left side of the screen, near the edge, see if it flickers on at all. If so, it could be a loose cable.

Blank screen for sometime while flashing/changing ROMS

Hello guys,
This issue(i say) has been going on for a while now. I hadn't faced this issue initially or even with my previous phones like Nexus 4 or Galaxy S2.
Now, whenever i flash a rom after doing a clean reset & wipes.
Initially on the first boot, after the OPO logo appears MY SCREEN GOES BLANK FOR A LONG TIME, i mean technically it should show the bootscreen of newly flashed rom, but it doesn't. And then logo or whatever bootscreen of newly flashed rom appears, after sometime of a blank screen. It isn't supposed to happen right? The black screen?
I tested it with many roms, same thing happens everytime. Even with TB when restore my apps & data (not system apps), the first boot takes a while (i knoe this happens), but there's a black blank screen all along.
Can anyone throw some light in this?
Any help would be appreciated
Regards

The first boot for any Android phone takes quite a long time, because it is building the cache. On phones like the Nexus 4 or Galaxy S2, it should display the boot animation. Maybe it doesn't on the OnePlus One? I haven't installed a ROM in a while.

I knoe that, thats what my doubt is about!
I dunno, but i don't think while flashing a new rom would make screen go totally blank for sometime, because technically it's not supposed to, it's supposed to show the boot anims always. But that's doesn't happen here.
Any more views? Experts?
Thanks
