Maybe You have HTC Charmer, not HTC Magician? Look into Settings -> About or Settings -> Device Information and post what CPU do you have in yout PPC. In Magician there is PXA272.

I bought this Prophet second hand a couple of days ago, and discovered that it has a couple of annoyances such as a slow camera and very slow bluetooth transfer speeds
i decided that the best thing is to upgrade to a new rom..
here are some information of my phone hoping a guru could help me by listing the steps that i should do.
i read most of the tutorials over here but i just want to be sure before jumping in.
i am currently downloading this

you have jamin g3 I think, look for what G device you have in the wiki, g3 or g4
udapte using RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID then unlock CID if you have g3
the bluetooth in the device is not slow as the same as all new mobiles, it is the stupid PIM profile from microsoft, you may use my rom if you want fast bluetooth receiving using dr yar bluetooth, it use also PIM profile but very fast and can show the sender name, and the name and size of the file.
or you may use ftp browser from htc, it will use ftp bluetooth profile and it fast also, the same speed of dr yar, about 64 kb instead of 16kb from microsoft

i upgraded my rom to aserg's latest rom 3.3.13 and noticed a change in bluetooth speed..
u mentioned something about PIM,
where can i find urs and would it make it any faster?

it is not my ROM, I use the same AKU 2.2, it is DrYar_bluetooth witch can send and receive files fatser and show sender name, if you like the current ROm please leave it and search for DrYAR software, the home page of the software is www.mobile4arab.com it is arabic site, as the auther is arabic
anyway here is the program it will make new send via DrYAR in windows explorer it's fatser, as I said 64KB the full speed of the device not like the microsoft bluetooth software only 16KB

it installed but didnt function well
the sending would pause at 5% or something like that and then the program would crash!
is there another way?
exit the program and open it again, sometimes happened, but rarly

I have the problem, that I am not able to fix the default-keyboard to the standard-keyboard. If I change it using the settings or sktools everything is fine, but after softreset the 20-touch-keyboard is set as default.
I have searched within the forum, but did not find an answer, hoe to resolve this bug.

just desable Touch XT9 from ROM Setings if u using bepe's 0.55 or 0.56. but if u need both than i don't know..

I'm having the same problem on my Orbit 2; changes to 20-keyboard after each softreset or when turning back on the device.
@ MSG,
I 'm sorry, but I did not try SIPChange yet, since I have read about serveral problems with this prog. I just want to finish configuration of my orbit, backup the whole system and then try it.
HTC was on CeBIT only with a staff which was not able to answer my questions and they asked me to make a call to HTC.
If I have solved my problem I will post the results here!

i hope anybody out there can help me! i've bought an orbit 2 at O2 in Germany, now i want to use the orbit with my A1 mobilkom (Austria) sim-card - i've found all settings and i called the support twice - but i can't opened any page with th internet explorer. the a1 support told me that i normaly mad all settings with the connection wizard, where i can choose "austria" and "a1 mobilkom" - but i can't find the connection wizard - i think this is because of the o2 branding - could it be?? can anybody tell me where i can find the connection wizard or how i can install it??

I found a way just now to force the display to show 262K... Just open the registry: HKLM/System/GDI/Drivers
and change the "Bpp" key from 16 to 18.. Save & restart the PDA.. Check in Settings > System > System Information under "Color",it wil show 262K color... (Sorry for my bad English)
Also I found that D3D-Demo.exe for Kaiser in "HTC Class Action Kaiser Driver cabinet file" run smoothly in 9502 but not for the OpenGL ES demo... Seems that 9502 D3D driver enabled already but not optimized.. Don't try to install the Kaiser driver as it incompatible with 9502.
Btw, care to help me? I lost some file from the WM6.1 ROM, seems that i-Mate forgot to include it in the new ROM. Checked with Pocket Mechanic, says some registry is invalid as the file in not found, try googling but no luck..
The file are: QTVStreamSourceFilter.dll, QC_MP4Encoder.dll, QCVideoSyncFilter.dll
If anyone have that file in their device, probably 9502 with WM6 (original) ROM, please send it to my email: [email protected]

Hi. I brought Qtek 9100, but the problem is that it is in German. I can't change the language (it's not possible by its settings). I installed new ROM (WWE - i don't know what does it mean, but friend of mine said it) in Eglish, then after restarting i srats extrakting something by itself. The pocket is O2 (it has a brand). So, my question is:
How could I change once for all the language from German to English?
Help me, please!

Well, that will depend on how much RAM you have, but see my example: I´m running 6.5 ROM on my Universal 64Mb of RAM and all goes good!, of course slightly slower than 6.1 but it´s worth to have the new one!
