i'm new in this forum as an user - but i was often here as a reader - thanks by the way for the help you gave me in the past!!
now i have a problem and i don't found a thread
i hope anybody out there can help me! i've bought an orbit 2 at O2 in Germany, now i want to use the orbit with my A1 mobilkom (Austria) sim-card - i've found all settings and i called the support twice - but i can't opened any page with th internet explorer. the a1 support told me that i normaly mad all settings with the connection wizard, where i can choose "austria" and "a1 mobilkom" - but i can't find the connection wizard - i think this is because of the o2 branding - could it be?? can anybody tell me where i can find the connection wizard or how i can install it??

First of all i would like to thank you for this forum and for your kind help by offering Windows mobile in English.
I installed it on my xda neo and it works very well, but i have a problem that i have no significations of home zone on it!!, I mean if i am at home i can not know that i am in my home zone because there is no icon on the top of screen to indicate that. What i see is just this sign when i click over the network sign " o2 [email protected] "
When i had the german version, i got :
O2 -de
O2 -de home "symbol"
but now i don't know when i'm in my home zone and when i get outside of it.
Could you please help to manage this problem?

I guess you need to put some files (the CAB file V2R_O2DE.CAB, for Home zone in germany) into the Extended ROM (by unhiding Extended ROM first, and then unlocking it),
But unfortunately new ROMs doesent allow unlocking ext ROM(ref: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=272955&highlight=unlocking+Extended+ROM+prophet).
Hello S710 experts,
I have been browsing this forum for a while but haven't really found any conclusive answers to a couple of important questions I have.. I am ready to buy an S710 but need to find out the following:
I have a Blackberry plan on T-Mobile Czech Republic and everything works fine with my 8700 handset (connected to BES)..
1) if I buy an unlocked S710 how can I find and set the internet connection settings on the device? With my 8700 (which was formerly a UK Vodafone device) I just inserted the SIM and it made an EDGE connection and it was good to go. Is it that simple with the S710 or is there more to it?? Unfortunately I cannot speak a word of Czech so the local T-Mobile site is not much use!
2) I know it will be unsupported but how likely am I to be successful with BB Connect with this device/network? I have seen links to download the BB client for the S710 but has anyone managed to get it working with a setup similar to mine?
3) What about wireless syncronisation of BB calendar and contacts? This is a must for me - does it work?
Am looking forward to comments on the above and hope I can go ahead and purchase!! (now I need to find a retailer who will ship to the CR!)

Hi, was hard for me to find via search engine the latest info about a big issue/problem with the internet settings for the Polaris/Htc Touch Cruise.
As you know O2 says always that is not supported.
But I was able to buy bolton at 7.50 pounds per month and use google maps, internet explorer, just the weather do not update.
I lost the settings, and I would find again the settings because now on Diamond I have a bigger problem!!! seem that on Diamond I will be not able to surf at all, and because I needed the O2 tariffs to call abroad, this is very sad for me and problematic to switch to 3, Tmobile, Vodafone that are expensive for calls abroad.
Are you surfing with O2 payandgo as I was able to do it, if yes, can you please post me the settings?
Do you have any solutions for the same problem on the Diamond, always with O2 uk?

Hi All,
I have a Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz) Stock French SFR ROM.
Tried to install and use the new version of Microsoft Recite (Cool App !).
It installed fine but won't launch (Title Bar Appear for 1 seconde then the app closes itself).
I've read somewhere that this is a localisation problem (changing regional Settings from France to US English seems to allow the launch of the app but is a big issue, obviously)
Does somebody knows how to solve this ?

Has anyone got/seen about a universal version of the I-mate Configurator?
it's a great app that detects the SIM you have in and reconfigures the SMS, internet settings etc without the tedious searching of the internet.
it's great if you travel around and have lot's of local SIM's
I have tried copying it across but it doesn't work that easy.
