Where is a guide for downloading wm 6.5 rom? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

hey guyz,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but anyway does anyone know a good guide to downloading wm 6.5 and installing it successfully?
Thanks

Flashing
My recommendation is to go to the sticky at the top of this forum and read the post by mskip..."Flashing Your First Kaiser Rom (For Noobs) <-- A must read if you are new to this"
This is what helped me get thru my first flashing. It will help you as well.
The one thing about flashing to 6.5 and you will check for flashing instruction by the chef for his particular ROM, but typically you may have to flash a Stock ROM before flashing a Cooked ROM.
Hope this helps.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=378 go here and please don't start new threads until you have been here long enough to know what warrants a new thread.

Well there is no as such a guide to download WM6.5 ROM and install it. It is pretty much the same way for WM6.0, WM6.1 & WM6.5. Just read carefuly before you flash.

Exactly how big do you have to make this at the top of the page, before people actually read it ?

[ROM]All Touch Original ROMs in a Sticky

I'm starting to notice that this forum is continuously being flooded by newbies' requests for Touch original ROMs (Is the search button invisible or what). My only request is for the moderators to create a sticky containing all the original ROMs for the beloved Touch in order to leave the room for the significant and helpful threads only.
Edit:
Ok then, i've added the links that I found mostly needed for Original Touch ROMs. If you have more links (e.g. for additional versions/languages) feel free to post them here.

People aren't visiting the wiki (I know that's wrong but that's what's happening), so I find it more appropriate to put the links here since it's the first place to be visited by someone looking for a Touch ROM. Not to mention that this will freshen up the Elf Upgrading forum a little more.
Hello all....
I´m one of the newbies mentioned above and yes I did look in the wiki, but I would suggest not put the orig. ROMs in a sticky, cause the more sticky you have the "real" forum will go down and down in the list. One suggestion from my side (maybe the newbie side ...) put a new forum under the ELF Forum with a thread for each orig. ROM (like the listing in your post). Advantage would be, that you can always have a way to the latest orig ROM (i.e. German Vodafone): just look under ELF--> ROMs --> Thread Orig. ROM german. No discussion there, just the files or links (Only mods can write ?!?).
The other way would be the wiki, which I would prefer (although I´m a newbie )
moderators, why not?
how abt this!!!!!
check th ELF Wiki
or direct http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Elf_Upgrades
^^ nice work dude..
mods. pls take a look at here
been updating the ROM links for a while. whichever way is convenient, pls sticky the wiki or separate thread. thankx. will be glad to help keep the ROMs sticky alive

keep attention to Case Sensitive.
ayyu3m is doing a great job there at the wiki. I think now there's no need for a sticky, but people have to learn that the wiki exists in order to visit it instead of spamming our beloved Elf Upgrading forum, which was the original reason behind my sticky request. Enjoy your flashing activities people
uhum
the touch wiki is one of the most shamefull ones. it's a good thing it will be filled up more. this way the standard anwser can always be. WIKI. so great effort but no sticky, it would be the same anwser a mod would give.
and as a sidenote.
i understand now why some people like opera mini.

wiki wiki wiki ... its their for a purpose
read and dont get flamed,
hello, its alot to read, but take the time, you dont want to mess up your phone (brick), see the very 1st post in the forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369282
FAQ (w/G.W.E.N.I.), Wiki & stickies found here. Read before posting! [04-21-2008]
it reads "read before posting"
once you do the hard spl (posted in the 1st reply above) or if you have questions post them there, once you flash duttys rom and you have questions, post them in duttys rom or what ever rom you flash, please dont start a new thread, you wil quickly learn there is something call flaming, this requires flame retardant
good luck

The Hyperdragon series seems to have radios included(at least the version I flashed did)... but if you can't flash a radio how are you going to flash a ROM? It is the exact same process!
Please use the seach read the STICKY's & WIKI...............

Mods Please Close
Thread closed (along with the other 3).
Please don't start new threads for existing topics it makes the forum untidy and hard to find the useful information. All these issues have been discussed before. Please search the forum and the wiki and read the relevant stickies.
mskip provides a detailed guide and FAQ along with execellent support in his sticky post.
There is also a sticky post relating to Kaiser Radios.
Thanks

Could this be simplified?

Hello. I have been lurking in these forums for a while now, reading, learning. I want to flash to a new rom and wm6.5, but I am very confused. I've read the stickies and wikis and searched for a simple answer, but most of the thread titles and bodies read like sanskrit. I can follow the directions on how to flash, but I really have no idea what to flash. There are so many options and no real explanation on whats what. Some roms require extra downloads, some are full, or complete? I don't really want a lot of crap software on there... will my 6.1 cabs work on a cooked 6.5 rom? Not every rom works with every radio, and some don't come with...? I guess I am wondering why the choosing and downloading of a rom and all other necessary files can't be simplified. Is it just because you guys are developing them so fast? I am not a total noob. But it is clear that most of you guys are light years ahead of me, and use a vernacular that is hard to understand. Please don't hate on me because I am asking a dumb question. I just don't want to have to become a cook in order to get what I want. Hope someone can shed some light on roms for me. Thanks.
I have...
AT&T Tilt
ROM - 3.57.502.2 WWE
Radio - 1.65.21.18
Protocol - 25.88.40.05H
First step is to read the:
[Resources] Flashing Your First Kaiser Rom (For Noobs)
As your device needs to be Hard-SPL'd to flash custom ROM's.
Then just like everyone else it's all trial and error look @ the ROM threads and read the first page to see what is in the ROM and the Hard-SPL recommendation and Radio, WM6.5 has a bit more to flashing and again noted at the start of threads.
There is no easy root and everyone has to go through the process of learning searching as there will be things that stump you along the way.
On that note i'm closing thread.
Good luck and have fun flashing

Congratulations, this solution really works. By the way, "[WARNING] Do not flash a new official RUU/ROM/OTA if you have root and/or S-OFF" is now old news, so it can be removed. It does not do harm to install the OTA, people just lose root. It is possible to downgrade
Actually the thread should say something like: You can safely install RUU/ROM/(OTA*) if you have Radio S-OFF (other users too, but it takes more steps to downgrade then), but in any case you will lose root.
* OTA has been pulled by HTC
the guide to how to flash a rom on DHD is dead....
Can mods be abit more strict at moderating pls? thanks
Report the posts and we will see them, they remain hidden otherwise.

Sorting things out
Recently with all the new ICS roms and with the "old" Gingerbread roms it is becoming harder and harder to find the ROM that you are looking for. Maybe it is an idea to split the ROM development into gingerbread and ICS roms?
Just wondering if it is possible?
Good suggestion, I'll take a look at this. Thanks
Added Grant Barkers ROM list to the sticky.
This sticky is rather out of date. The thread index has moved and AAHK is retired.
