G1 won't boot with sd card in. - General Questions and Answers

Okay, so I have a rooted G1 with Cyanogen 4.0.2 and whenever i boot a new image it just hangs at the g1 logo, so i try to reboot without the sd card and it works, but sometimes i turn my phone off and turn it back on with the sd card in the screen goes blank after the shining android screen but only sometimes. BTW if it matters my g1 is unable to mount via usb. It unmounts right after i press the mount button.

Upgrade to Cyanogen 4.2.12.2 results in blank screen

Yesterday I upgraded to 4.2.12.2. After rebooting I see the Tmoble screen then the android screen then nothing.
After doing some reading last night I pulled the SD card and rebooted. The phone now boots properly. If I then insert the SD card I can access images and audio files but my apps are still gone.
Did something change with Apps2SD? Does anyone have suggestions on how to recover?
Thanks

wrong section..but use a sdcard reader put your files on the computer..let your phoone boot up without the card..then reformat for sdcard(fat32 ext2 swap etc.)..then put the files back on the sd..see if that works..*not an expert just something i would try*

Rooted Mytouch 3g wont turn on

I recently got a sanyo incognito but didnt like it and returned to my mytouch. My micro sd card was reformatted for the incognito when I put it back in my mytouch and this is where the problem begins.....
I have cyanogen updater on my phone and tried to apply one of the updates which didnt work. I then tried to load a backup from the sd card (which wasnt available cause I forgot I reformatted the card). I then applied the update file that was still on the card for some reason and then tried to reboot my phone and viola.....no power. No lights come on when I connect the usb cable, nothing happend when I try to power up or press home and power. I tried taking the battery out and tried starting up the phone without the sd card, but still nothing.
Is there anyway to put the root files back on my micro sd card via my laptop and then putting the sd card back in the phone, or am I screwed? please help!

[Q] HELP: nookhoney04.img stuck at boot

Hi. I'm trying to use the nookhoney04 image to boot my nook color from a 4GB microSD card. I used a Mac to download the image file, decompress it, and Terminal to write the image to the drive. When I try to boot from the SD card, I get a short message from the Nook that says "Loading". Then I get really small message in landscape mode that says "Android" with a blinking cursor. This message never goes away.
I put the SD card back into my Mac, and it is showing 2 devices for the the card: boot and sdcard. In Terminal, using the diskutil list command, the card is still under the same Disk#, but I cannot unmount it to start the process over again.
Any advice?
Never mind. I just remade the microSD root image on a PC and it loaded just fine. Not sure why it didn't work with the mac. After using for a couple of days, I switched back to Froyo 2.2 using the REV311 rom. Very stable.

[Zte max xl/Adoptable storage]: Phone in restart loop when formatted sd card inserted

When my phone was running out of storage i fomatted my 32gb sd card on it as internal storage, the was simple without any trouble after i moved my files on the sd storage (they was about 2gb), till now everything was fine, BUT after some days i wanted to putsome big files on the phone and i see it was slow to transfer files i decided to unmount the sd card for transfer quickly with an adapter, it's at the time i realized that the sd will be working only on the phone,
so i passed away and decide to transfer the files a next time, when i put the sd on the phone it seem freeze and restarted, i don't panic and leave it to do his job and then when the phone was completely power on after about 20 - 30 sec it restarted again and it repeat it again and again. when uninserted the sd it start normally and stay power on
If i try to insert the formatted sd card it go back to a restart loop
If i insert any other sd card it stay on, but i can't acces file on him with some app
If i power off the phone and insert the formatted sd card the restart loop begin
So now i want to know what can i do to not lose my files on the sd card, when im searching on the web it seem is not a trouble very popular cause i don't see ANY thread or article who for the problem (or i don't use the good keyword )
If someone was facing this problem please let me know how you solved it (if it can be solved)
Anybody for help?? I really need to save my files to not lose them
