Did you at least put some underwear on this one? It's a little cold out, and just rained. I don't want shrinkage, ahhh!!
Wow, I'm really liking what I'm seeing here, I really want to try this out! When are you anticipating a release? But why no BT or Comm Mgr? If you added those, how much would that impact RAM?

No bluetooth because it's very stripped. That will probably save more RAM, too. CommManager, you can install your own, so you're not stuck with the one that he picks. That's an advantage.
I didn't even think of that, I'm sure there is a comm manager cab around here somewhere. But bluetooth... I don't use it a ton anyway, so it's not a huge deal.
Not sure on a 2.0 release yet. I have a RAm drop issue. After 2 days it dropped to 9. I think it had something to do with the task manager i installed after i flashed. But it might be a couple days. Try out the other till then

Dees any body have an idea how to back up and restore the call history databank. (clog database)
asked sktools and got this
on WM5 with current version you can save all PIM data (PIM.vol include clog database). Separate save only clog not posible.

Looking for a 2003 solution.
Do you know what else is stored on PIM.vol?
For instance, the 'Speed Dial List'?
My Wizard Runs pretty fast otherwise,
I dont have any extra Plugins other than SPB pocket Plus or Today Agenda.
When the Outlook is synched (contacts and appointments) I have around 3000 contacts Now.
The PIM file is 7 mb.
After the sync the device slows down a Lot.
Also there are two startup programs (system)
1 FILESYS.exe Takes around 1.8 MB at startup
2. GWES.exe . 1.28 MB(STARTUP)
As the device is used their size increases to ( 2-2.5 MB )this slows the device further.
Pls see pics attached <before and after>
using Oxios or any other memory closing app does not sort the problem out.
ONLY Rebooting sorts the problem.
Secondly, Is there any way I can shift my PIM.vol to the storage card?
coz I have noticed that when the Device memory is sufficient it also allocates sufficient Running memory to the Programs. I feel at least 20 Mb should be there.
Or is there any Program which allows to MANUALLY ALLOCATE memory to <STORAGE> and <PROGRAMS>
Like in My O2 XDA..In wizard the slider does not move...
MY MAIN PURPOSE IS TO LEAVE MAXIMUM SPACE EMPTY on My C drive.(device)
thanx in advance.....
Regards,

Today, I've released version 1.1 of my app - WirelessControl. Previous version was avalible only for pole, today I've added support for english language.
This app ads to Sliding Panel this functionality:
-turning wifi on/off
-turning bluetooth on/off/visible
-turning phone on/off
-define macros - with that, you can with one button do various operations like turning wifi on, then turning on bluetooth visibility, turning off phone module and more!

This movie shows how it works (but it's an old version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Tmsag3OTeU
To run, you must install .NET CF 3.5 and unlock the device (with SDA Unlock or similar app).
Program will work only when it's installed on main memory. If you install it on storage card, Sliding Panel wont run WirelessControl.
After instaling from cab, a window will apear, choose where WirelessControl will be added .
I've tested it only on Samsung SGH-i600, so it may not work on others, but who knows
DOWNLOAD
Please don't upload this program to other sites. If you like to show other this app, just post link to this thread.
If you like this app please
it's working fine
nice and usefull panel, i am going to play with macros
thank you!
I forgot about one important thing - don't use CHome Configurator to modify this panel becous it can damage it's structure, and after that, adding or deleting macros wont work!
okey ty for the advice
one doubt:
i think that is need to install in the main memory

Yes, your right. This program is designed to run only from main memory. From storage card it won't work, becouse the shortcuts from Sliding Panel are always targeting to main mem.

How do I join the ranks of the early-release elites?
You just gotta ask lol let me know what you want to try out. just please be sure to report all bugs
I'd like to try out this ROM too. I could report the bugs I've found then.
Peace.
I'm willing to test out whatever you got, really. This one, the "Gardner's Edition" ROM, and the one you're doing with RemoteTracker are the ones I'm most interested in, so I'd be happy to help you bugtrack them. It's the least I could do, really.
As far as I can tell it just needs the Commanager fixed. been using it for a few days now, and it seems to good to be true. It's everything I wanted, at least I thought. I had it perfectly dialed in... And then ill goes and releases Gardeners Edition. Now I have to flash that. Thanks a lot .
lmao! sorry tonyc! My new Omnia Rom is growing on me!
Glad you liked it!
Tested on Leo and it works great!

Does Bluetooth still function after running RAM Sweeper? In the TP2 it did not. After each run of Ram Sweeper, you had to soft reset to get functioning BT again. Only after adding BTCommManager.exe en BTTrayCE.exe to the whitelist, BT kept functioning after running it.
it works in the hd2 but you should exclude comm manager! and i may update this app soon so, i'll post it in this subforum also
best regards

those are the ones you have to add to the whitelist of Ram Sweeper:
EXC CommManager.exe
EXC BTManager.exe
EXC BTTrayCE.exe
DO NOT REMOVE THIS ONE: EXC connmgr.exe

Every time i used the RAM sweeper the HD2 crashed, that means that after cleaning up the RAM there stands "Ram Sweeper" in the Taskbar instead of "Start" and it isn't even possible to launch the start menu pressing the Windows hard button. You have to turn off the device and after turning it on again it works.
edit:
is there an app that cleans up the RAM and really works together with HD2 without any issues?
edit 2:
i found a working one:
cleanRAM

im using memmaid without any issues
i've done a very fast version of ram sweeper, later i post if i remember xD
High Speed Cleaning for cleanRAM
Do you need more speed? do you want to make cleanRAM x2 faster then now?
- You just need to unchecked (disabled) the settings: "Show RAM Status Notification" and then you will see the difference...
For more tips read cleanRAM post #1...
It appears that there is an overall shortage of task managers for HD2. And the ones around have minor or major issues depending on ROM etc. Which task manager do you use / suggest? (I have stock 1.66 WWE rom)
Thanks
nobody says anything - does this mean that nobody is happy with their task manager, hence no suggestions, or noboby uses one? (I rule out (hope) the possibililty of nobody bothering to type anything).
Have you tried X2 Task Manager? Or Dutty's Task Manager for Leo? Both of them operates the same way. But I personally prefer the stock task manager though...

Thank you. What bothers me in the stock task manager is that I have to return to home screen in order (via shortcut) to invoke it. From my HD days I am used to wktask - but in my view in HD2 it does not work as well. It appears that it consumes too much battery - or at least this is my impression.
This is why I am looking for another one.
There are tons of taskmanagers that do their jobs.
I use XTask to see which app is running and to close apps with the x-button.
To switch between tasks I use LMT and Task Facade.
Others I used and that are doing their job are WkTask, ArkSwitch and Showcase.
Which You want to use depends on your preferences.
I use the taskmanager included in Resco Explorer 2010. Looks nice and works well.

Arkswitch, by far the best task manager. Although I haven't tried it on a stock ROM the activiation box sits in the top left on 6.5.x ROMs, although you can change the size and position of it and there is also a 6.5 option for it.
It works amazingly well on 6.5.x ROMs.
