Everex/Eten starting problem!

I have the Everex-E900. My problem is the following:-
Till recently the ppc was operating fine. One day i dropped it accidentaly.
From then on whenever i press the power button only a blank screen appears!
On pressing the power button for long a test screen appears. this shows the following message:-
"Test Screen
Ver 100.0017
May 06 2005
Please reset to enter system"
soft reset doesnt have any effect.
On doing a hard reset the screen says:-
"USB downloader B05 0012
Flash Capacity = 128MB
USB downloader ready
USB host is not connected"
On connecting USB cable to computer
it says
"USB host is connected
Waiting a download."
On the computer the Activesync wizard is unable to connect/detect the PPC
What should i do ? How do i flash the rom without activesync. I have the latest upgrade file which is an"EXE".

HTC Pro disconnects from Windows Mobile

Hi All,
This is my first post. I purchased the HTC pro yesterday and all seems to be working well apart from the annoying vodafone crap thats covering the htc pro software. I am looking to flash the phone and get the vodafone s/w off. However, the phone does not stay connected to windows mobile 6.1 very long, maybe 1 min max. It keeps disconnecting. Any idea's? Is there a work around for this?
The phone is connected to my laptop using the data cable provided, I'm using vista 32 bit o/s.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

sorry, but what exactly do you mean with "Windows Mobile"? Did you mean Windows Mobile Device Centre on your Vista machine?

Could be one of many things. Firewall problem, dodgy cable - do you have another you can try? Could be a hardware problem with the phones usb socket or the laptops usb socket... But the best advice I can offer is to use Windows XP when flashing roms - it is possible with Vista, but it's generally a simpler process with XP.

Its Windows Mobile Device Centre, and I have downloaded the latest version. I will try this on my xp laptop. Ideally I want to get rid of all the vodafone crap Its annoying how it keeps on cutting out. I thought it might be some setup setting I would need to change?

I had the same problem with my HTC Touch Pro disconnecting from Device Centre, and fixed it by setting the 'Shut Down Device when not used for' on external power for more then 1 minute (I selected 30 minutes).

I had done that via going to Power - Advanced - Unticked all of them.
Is that bit somewhere else on the phone?

Touch Pro disconnecting from Computer
Hi,
I have similiar problem. I am using Windows XP Pro in my computer. The phone is disconnected if I pick up an incoming call. Once I hang up, it will automatically reconnect.
Any idea how to solve this?? Thanks

Managed to fix my issue, was a change in settings - usb to pc - and untick the enable advanced network functionality.

Hi, I also have the problem, TP connects fine but after 1 minute it disconnects?

[Q] ipaq 3660 - possibly terminal?

I think my ipaq 3660 is dead, but I hope not, I was hoping to try and put linux on it. Here's the scenario, I bought it from a guy who says it was working till a rom upgrade went wrong (power cut ).It appears to charge up OK, with the light eventually going solid. Active sync finds it and identifies it correctly but can't connect, advising me to turn off usb connections to stop repeated attempts to connect.A hard reset results in a screen of black and green vertical lines with 2 rectangular boxes near the top which look like text boxes, but with no text.I have download a rom update from HP, but of course it won't install without active sync connecting.Does anyone have any ideas how to save it? I have succesfully upgraded my xda2 a number of times (now ce 6.1) so I have a limited ability.

I got some more info from handhelds.org, if I press and hold joypad button then press reset, I get a picture of a parrot, this I think is bootloader mode? It seems if I get this far perhaps all is not lost, it appears this is not uncommon with this ipaq. Unfortunately the solution seems to be to connect to a pc with a serial cable to copy over needed files, but my cradle is only usb, and I'm reluctant to spend anymore on what could still be a lost cause.
Any ideas?

How to show your display on PC?

I have driven over my S710 last year, and brick my screen...
now i hope i can display my screen on my laptop.
I have connected my S710 to the PC by datacable.
and running powertool of microsoft...
but it tells unknown processor/os...
Anyone knows an way to show the screen of my S710 on my windows XP pro SP3 pc?
i hope anyone can give me the answer so i can use my phone to know who calls...

It had to install automaticly on my mobile isnt it ?
i tryed to install... but it wont do it on my phone...
i could use my pincode to login, it is connected to my provider, also to my active sync, but cant get any display on my pc, because it doesnt install mymobiler on my vox...

If you launch MyMobiler on your pc, if your phone is connected with activesync, and a partnership installed, MyMobiler installs a cab automatically on your Vox.
But, if you have to press "ok button" on your Vox to confirm install, try to push left soft key menu to agree install.
Try it, i don't know if it will work.

Use mDesktop....it works without installiing anything on the phone...

I will also second using MyMobiler. I'm sure somebody here can guide you through the installation on the device. It will install the CAB through AS like stated, then all you have to do is select the installation media and hit "Ok" a few times.
I no longer have my Vox, but somebody here can install it and write down the steps for you.

Follow this steps:
-Launch haret with USB(use activesync) connected to PC
-Disconnect cable when the message "Disconnect USB from PC" is display on your phone
-Plug it in powerless PS3 (FAT should be turned off from the power switch, SLIM’s power source should be disconnected) once Xandroid is booted.
-PS3 Power on and eject button ritual (It should be 2-3 beeps when eject button is pressed, else you'll have to switch off PS3 and start the ritual again)Also make sure that nothing else is plugged into another USB port.
-PS3 will take 3-5 seconds before showing up anything on the screen.
