Hello, i was going to install windows mobile 6.5 and when i downloaded unlocker and started it on my computer and installed. then it come a error msg error something, and then my phone just went black. i can not even start it. it doesen't even show if im charging the batteri or nothing. What can i do to start the phone and start over with my 6.5 installing
Can't hard reset, and can't enter bootloader.
sry for my english, im a noob guy from sweden -.-
What phone did you run it on? I ask because there was a person who ran that unlocker on a raphael, and it bricked it. Cmonex even said there was no way to recover (which is a bad sign).
Have you loke the Wiki?
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Diamond
Hope it helps
Good luck,
Are you sure you didn't use the CDMA version of diamond unlocker for your GSM Diamond?
Because THAT would brick a diamond for sure!

Put a stack of papers on your desk, then put the phone on top of the papers and leave it there.

Well i dont have a device so i cant provide much info, but wanted to start a thread of problems and possible solutions...
So i will kick it off.. A friend of mine just messaged me said he acquired a post-production kaiser and wanted to install the ATT rom on it... however when he does it just says could not flash handheld or whatever or its not compatible...it goes to bootloader, gets to around 1% and then stops and phone restarts...

Well I'm probably going to catch a beating for this but has anybody has the BALLS to hard spl the kaiser with the hermes version. I realize saying this is obvious is an understatement but I would venture to say that most people would be to scared to try. I have a solid connection at a cingy cough...cough I mean at&t store that has switched out 8525's for me without question so I may try if I can get my hands on one. The way I see it I have to start contributing at some point LOL
I would guess it is due to a CID lock...
But then again, what do I know

if it was cid lock you generally get the "invalid vendor" code.. He specifically stated it wasnt that error... but that was my first thought also... not to mention it should be unlocked at least for the first flash since its HTC branded..
although we did discover that a hard reset is done the same way as the hermes, 2 soft keys + reset ... couldnt find how to put it in bootloader though
It is due to CID lock.
To put in bootloader hold camera + power and reset with stylus.
I got my kaiser today, I'll start to work on a CID unlocker soon

Man you are fast.
To the OP:
You have a CDMA phone, and you are in the GSM section. Check out this thread (over on PPCGeeks) created by the very same cmonex here on XDA.
You are probably trying to flash a GSM HardSPL to your phone, and that will not work.
Hello, i installed HARD SPL to my HTC Touch Pro
when the installation was 100% completed
and my mobile automaticly Shut down
but i cant start my HTC Touch pro anymore
when i try to start the RUU again, it cant detect my HTC
because my pc cant find the HTC anymore
when i try to charge battery, thats doesnt work
can sameone please help me ?
Have you tried soft and/or hard resetting? This is a bit bothering, though. You're not using a sprint or verizon (cdma) touch pro with the 1.90 Olinex hard spl, are you? If so, you may be s.o.l. My only advice in that case would be to try to flash the cdma hard spl.
Hello,
i have a HTC Touch Pro,
i used Olinex HARD SPL
but how can i hard reset ?
i cant start my phone
HTC Touch pro from where, though? What carrier, or did you buy it directly from HTC? This is important. And which hard spl? There are dozens of them. Exactly what was the #, and where did you get it?
To hard reset, press and hold down the volume down button and the OK (d-pad) button. Keep holding them down and then quickly soft reset with the stylus. Let the first two buttons go when the tri-color screen appears.
Just a tip: if you don't know how to hard reset yet, you shouldn't be modifying the firmware of your ppc.
i used ''Raphael_VZW_HSPL_035''
i purchased my mobile from ''Hi Mobile'' http://www.hi.nl (Dutch Provider)
edit: hard reset is not working
Well, that hard spl is for cdma phones; and the VZW makes me think that it is specifically for Verizon phones, which is not good for you. My Dutch isn't very good, but I suspect that your phone is GSM because: 1. Most non-US phones are GSM 2. The only thing I understand on that web-page is "Hi Sim-only." Sim cards are used in GSM phones. Does your phone have a sim card? If so, then you flashed the wrong hard spl and there's a very good chance the phone is toast. My only recommendation is to download the proper hard spl (1.90.Olinex). See if you can get your phone into bootloader. Do so by pressing and holding Volume Down and then soft resetting (don't hold the soft reset down; just push it in quickly like normal). Continue to hold volume down until the tri-color screen appears, IF it appears. If it does, then connect your phone to your pc with a usb cable, say a prayer, and flash the new hard spl.
If you can't get into bootloader, then your phone is dead for good. You can try to return it, or if you want, you can donate it to one of the techs on the forum who experiments with JTAG cables. JTAG'ing will be the only way to fix the phone if you can't get it into bootloader, but it's an extreme long-shot.
Edit: This is from cmonex at ppcgeeks, where I guess you got the hard spl package:
Important:
first, if you have GSM Touch Pro/Raphael (NOT CDMA, NOT SPRINT/VERIZON/ALLTEL/TELUS/BELL), this will brick your device.
to download a compatible hardspl package for gsm touch pro you can go to forum.xda-developers.com.
but if you have CDMA Touch Pro/Raphael, then you have to use this hardspl, not the one at xda-developers!!!
preparations before flash:
3) now decide which Hard-SPL you want to flash. if you have Verizon, flash VZW package (from verizon attachment). if you have Sprint, Telus or Alltel or Bell, flash default package (Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.zip).

If cmonex says it's a brick, then it's a brick. Don't knock yourself out trying to fix it if your phone is not cdma.
i think my phone is dead =(
im gonna buy a HTC Touch Pro 2 then
is there a another option , like flashing your bricked phone with a memmory card
something like like PSP wit Pro Duo card
You need to be able to access bootloader to flash off your memory card (vol. down + soft reset). That's the real killer with flashing the wrong hard spl-now you have a bad bootloader that can't be over-written. Your only hope would be to flash the 1.90.0linex hard spl, which can only be done over active sync (you could do this if you first went into bootloader). But again, since you can't get into bootloader, you're screwed. I mean, yeah, you might as well fool around, trying to get the proper hard spl on there (or even try flashing a full, stock rom). You're not going to make anything worse at this point. But I seriously doubt you're going to recover your device.
Seriously, there's a guy in the Diamond forum who's working on jtag'ing diamonds. It's complicated as hell, but maybe you could sell him your phone for 20 bucks. Just do a search on 'jtag' in that forum and you'll find him. Unless you can get a warrantee replacement somehow, your phone's only going to be good for experimenting or maybe spare parts.
Edit: here's the thread on jtag'ing a Diamond. You may want to pm the thread-starter and ask for advice, if he has any.
Here's another thread on fixing HTC phones. You might be able to sell your phone to the thread-starter to use for spare parts.

It's probably not fixable, but if you have a warranty, use it. I wouldn't explain exactly what you were doing if they ask what happened, because in truth, you obviously don't really know.

GSM is in use in Europe, USA, & majority of the world; CDMA in USA & few other countries. If you have a SIM card, it's always GSM.

Ya know, you're the second person this week who flashed that hard spl to a gsm phone (instant death, btw). I'm curious, did someone tell you to use that specific hard spl? It seems kind of weird that two people would do it so close together. I'm just wondering if someone out there posted some mis-information that's leading to this (the other poster was on a Dutch carrier, I think).
Edit: here is the other thread. It's weird, you're both on Dutch phones. I'm just wondering if there's a dutch board with a bad link.

I agree completely! I have seen quite a bit of this going on lately. You guys spend a ton of money on your devices at least take a little bit of time to perform some research before trying anything. I remember when I got my first ATT 8525 (hermes 100) and wanted to flash a ROM and I also remember that before I did I spent roughly 6-7 hours reading up on the device and everything that the XDA wiki had to offer before I even installed my first app.

I've done more than that and haven't even made the decision to buy it yet. Being informed is always a good thing.
I think i bricked theHTC fuze that i bought yesterday I tried to do the Hard SPL but i was getting an error message, error 244 invalid model ID so i used a program to change the .nbh (a radio file) file so it bypassed the error message (by changing DIAM***** to RAPH*****, since my phone is raphael). I even got a message that the process was successfully finished but it turned out not to be true because the screen went black and now i cant turn it on, and i cant even get it into the bootloader mode. If i could at least get it into to tricolor screen i would be able to flash back the original radio and that would solve the problem because ive already done it a few times. Please let me know if there is a chance to get it fixed, even i had to send it to a professional but as long as it could be fixed, im really desperate. Thank you
brick, htc fuze, diamond, raphael, hardspl
You only get that error when your trying to flash the wrong device... Did you use the file "Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.zip" to unlock..?? Sound's to me like you used the Diamond Unlocker... Shouldn't be that hard to fix, hold the volume down button, power button, and insert stylus into the hole on the bottom to soft reset to try and open up BL screen... LMK if that works...
Why didn't you just follow the instructions for flashing? You aren't even security unlocked, so why were you trying to flash a diamond radio? That makes no sense at all. Also, if you are security unlocked, you need to get diamond radios from the raphael forum, because they're patched to flash onto raphaels. It sounds like you got yours from the diamond forum, which is the wrong way to go (especially if it's a cdma radio-that would kill your phone for sure). Did hard spl work? If not, why on earth did you forge ahead? YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU FLASH HARD SPL!!!!!
Try pulling the battery for a while, the see if it will start up. It's hard to tell what you did, but since you went down such a wrong path, I wouldn't be surprised if the phone is a giant brick.

this should've been clue #1. If you have to change it because of the device ID, it's the wrong thing to flash. The Diamond and Raph look alike on the front, but are almost totally incompatible ROM-wise.,

You might contact olipro, I hear he's got the "magic touch" with devices. No guarantees. I've heard that it's almost impossible to unbrick a device like this after an incorrect/bad radio flash.
I really hope it works out for you. Read dude, the stickies are everywhere for your benefit. Best of luck to you.
brick, htc fuze, diamond, raphael, hardspl
I run into things like this DAILY. Been a service rep for over 30 years. If people would ONLY follow the instructions, I'd have less follow up work to do.
Unfortunately they make these phones too easy to hack (good for us) but sometimes noobs make it hard for the rest of us.
lol
This is what happens when you don't follow directions, don't read enough, and are monkeying with things you obviously shouldn't be monkeying with.
When you got the device ID error, you should have stopped right there and thought "gee, maybe I should go over these instructions again and see what I did wrong" instead of trying to force a radio that will never work on your device.
Hope you can get it in to bootloader, otherwise enjoy your shiny new brick.
Well, hope you get it solved and otherwise you learned a lesson in a very expensive way I'm afraid...

I did hard SPL first with 1.90OliNex (because the one that was in the unlocking package originally didnt work beacuse of the invalid model ID message) and i thought thats what security unlocked the phone and then i tried to put a costume radio that would allow me to unlock the phone but the radio wouldnt flash. So i went back to the SPL from the unlocking package (HARD SPL 1.34) and i changed the .nbh file from DIAM***** to RAPH***** and then it bricked... The reason i did this is beacuse of the following link :

No I used a gsm unlocker, HARD SPL 1.34... There is a more detailed explanation in the post above
Hard spl 1.34 is either cdma or diamond gsm-I don't know which. I do know that it will brick a gsm touch pro. Flashing the wrong hard spl is the guaranteed way to kill a phone. If you actually flashed it, the phone is dead. Try pulling the battery for a day.
You need to run the gsm raphael unlocker to security unlock your phone. You need to pay for it, too. Hard spl doesn't security unlock your phone-it only CID unlocks it.

I now this might be a little too late to answer, but i want to give my two cents to this brick posts. Maybe someone will need it. This is for anyone that might be where I was for over 2 weeks. I though my Fuze/ Raphael / touch pro was history. My phone will get into restart loops when ever he wanted. It was very anoying. After replacing every possible software from Radio, Hard Spl, different rooms and even start up splashes, and almost getting "ORD" in the process. I finally took my phone apart, since there was no warranty. Once open I saw that the reset bottom inside was too close to the rubber reset bottom from outside. Guess what ?? That as all it was..... Good luck to all. : )
