i've tried to install IGO 8 on my TD 2. But i became the error
failed to open file: ui_igo8\480_800\loading.bmp
i searched in the forum and found that in my data.zip must be 480_800,
but there isn't this file.
Does everyone know where i can get this file?
Does IGO8 works on a TD2?

I guess, if that file isn't there, you downloaded iGO8 illegally,
I'm afraid we cannot discus, nor provide any warez on this forum...
If the file is there, It's your sys.txt, Please look at the rollup thread (ROM section)
There is a link to a guide how to setup iGo8 to work perfectly

ftp has a username of "XDA" and password of "XDA", if you still have problems i'll upload the file to when i finished downloading it..
UPDATE: as i have guessed, it's a HIMALAYAN rom uploaded to a warez site :roll: , not a generic one
I wouldn't have thought a 'generic' WM2005 upgrade could exist. The problem with getting WM2005 onto the Magician is to do with the drivers for all the hardware on the Magician, not the actual WM2005 binaries. It won't work, don't believe the hype.
elyl is absolutely right.
So if you are so desperate to get WM2005 on your Magician, why not selling it and getting a HTC Charmer instead?

The archive contains the file: HimaUpgradeUT.exe so the update is for Himalaya devices only.

Yes, you are wrong.
There is no such thing as a "generic" Windows Mobile 5. Each PDA has it's own specific build of Windows Mobile because all of the device drivers are embedded. It's kind of like having the BIOS and OS combined.
The reason there are some unofficial builds out there is because MS have built them specifically for testing purposes so that they could write and test some applications before WM5 actually came out. As far as we know, this never happened on the Magician.

The HTC Charmer should be available very soon as T-Mobile MDA Compact II. See your local dealer.

I've read a couple of posts somewhere that tomtom 5 doesn't work with the latest upgraded ROM - Is this true or can anyone confirm that it does work -
Bottom line I'd rather have the old rom with tomtom than the new one without it!!

The only issue with WM6 is that you have first time run FakeCursor manualy from file manager to accept running unsigned file.
To make it work without any issues you have first to install TomTom CAB to Storage, then move data.chk and TomTom Navigator.exe from \Storage\Program Files\Navigator to \Storage Card\Program Files\Navigator.
Don't update TomTom to 6.020. It causes problems with backlight.

Ok, i have installed it and it's work fine.
I have 2 problem:
1) Tomtom need about 3 minutes to start
2) Tomtom language is enaglish, I need italian version.

I couldn't find this anywhere so I assume no one has posted something like this before.
I flashed my HD2 to Miri's v1.2 ROM and found out I didn't have JBlend anymore. Since I could't find any other JVM that could run Opera Mini as good as JBlend (at least visually) I tried to use the package that came with ROM 1.48 and make a CAB. Unfortunately it didn't install. I removed all the files from my CAB and left the registry parts in it and it installed. I did try to apply the registry changes by importing the reg files but there seemed to a problem and all the 3 registry editors I used said "import finished" and nothing was imported. The CAB however does the job.
So for anyone trying to have the JBlend version that came with the HD2 without flashing another ROM, try this:
1. Unzip all the files in the .zip file to \Windows
AND
2. Install the attached CAB (on the device)
To get the shortcut in start menu, create a shortcut called "JBlend.lnk" pointing to "\Windows\JBlend_AMS.exe" and place it in "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Tools"
(or wherever you want, only, the nice .png icon won't show if it's not in Tools)
Update (March 31st, 2010)
I replaced the files with the ones from the JBlend version that comes with the HD Mini (Photon). Now there's no problem with screen alignment in 6.5.X ROMs anymore.

it lets u run java programs on windows mobile
you guys can try out this too!
is working on my Miri's ROM.
It creates an icon for Opera Mini, making it work like an app.
however, it is buggy sometimes. When u change the input to full screen edit, you cannot press OK or Cancel after typing. This is the only major issue i faced so far.

hum... what exactly is the porblem?
make sure you copy all the files from the .zip file to your \Windows folder and then install the cab, soft reset and now you should be able to run JBlend_AMS.exe from the windows folder.
can anyone else also try this?

I know many of us using Primo on HTC HD2. I almost downloaded every available data.zip and 3 different versions of Primo.
Those who enjoy using Primo on their HD2 are privileged.....because not everybody who has all the info are succeeded running it.
Please help the under-privileged. Give us 3 to 4 lines of step by step procedure and the versions of files to be used.

When I figure out a way to run, I am going to post a detailed 'Step-by-Step' procedure, good enough for even a beginner to start using the Primo version.

I need some help. Could some one helpme with igo primo? I have a HTC HD2 tmobile with the newer radio, and when i put the igo to run it stops at igo screen milimeters before the end. I already tryed new roms and hapen the same thing. Does some oe know how to make it work. Thanks hope someone helps
what do you mean by stops? it stays at that screen? or simple exit from Primo? 'cause, if it stays at primo screen, it could be, maybe, from the speedcam file. just wait around 2-3 minutes.

If it is an .exe file, connect the HD2 via activesync and run the program.
If it is a .cab, copy it to the HD2 and execute it on the phone.

You can find a lot of instructions and useful things here and here but you must register first.
To change maps go to your sdcard/content/maps folder
My ig Primo works when there is no voiuce guidance.
Soon as I use voice guidance, it crackles, then reboots the phones (crashes).
Can anyone tell me if they can get it to work, and what the fix is? Thank you.
maybe you should replace the voice with some other files than the ones that are crashing?
