Fuze randomly reinstalling Windows Mobile? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Alright, after updating to RRE V8 RC1, I've been having instability with my Windows Mobile OS. The phone would randomly crash for no apparent reason. When I would restart the phone, I would get the Windows Mobile Install prompt. I resorted to reverting back to RRE V2.1 which was the ROMs previous version I was operating on before performing the update. Sometimes after turning the phone off, I would get an error message complaining about my settings being corrupt. I have flashed to various versions of RRE and other Windows Mobile ROMs. Please, can anyone help? I don't believe the ROM is at fault. It sounds more like an issue with my internal storage. Any way I could possibly remedy the situation? The phone is only 2 months old .

I can't seem to access my phone to fetch my PIM Backup data either. >_<

You need to flash the stock 6.1 ROM first, then flash the WM6.5 ROM you want (RRE v8 or any other one).
I've had this problem with a CDMA Diamond and my Fuze. It doesn't happen every time, but when it does, the only way to fix it is by installing the stock ROM first.

Very Slow Boot up and what's a good Backup Software?

Hi,
I have a problem, when i have to enter the simcode. Bevor i could do this, I have to wait about 5 minutes until the display reacts. After i'm able to enter the simcode, i have to wait about 5 minutes again to see the home screen. after that, everything is normal.
I have the newest TNT Rom on my phone.
What could be the Problem?
Is there a good backup software, which can backup my Programms, which i have installed, messages, contacts... best would be, if it backups every day automatically. I would pay something, if there isn't something for free!
Thanks!

Sprite backup
check it out
http://www.spritesoftware.com/comparison-sprite-spb-page1
i say, flash a new rom... also gives you something new to try
anyways, PIM backup, or SPB Backup - i use both and can't fault em
Its corruption of Extended_Rom or if you are using any Sdcard or MiniSd,it needs formatting.
Backup your data with either of the above applications and either try out a Hard Reset otherwise reflash the rom.
i have tested the backup softwares and i think, i'll buy the sprite backup software.
and i've tested a lot of roms... i tested the snn versions, the simple version, cooked own roms, but now, i used my phone for tasks and so on and not only for testing new roms, which are faster, so i thought, somebody would know something to fix the problem so i don't have to install everything again.
but... tooo late^^ i did a hard-reset
and thanks for the help!

New TNT install. Lots of error messages.

Aside from these three error messages popping up all the time I love this ROM. How can I get rid of these errors and what is causing them?

Go to the first post of the thread you got the ROM from, notice which Radio ROM version is specified, and install that Radio ROM. All those errors will go away and you will have a pretty good, but old, ROM. Note that the date of release is August 2008, not August 2009. I used that ROM for several months and really liked it. You can find newer ones now.
I am running this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=391927
My phone says Radio Ver. 02.25.11. What do you mean install the radio ROM? Isn't it already installed? Sorry, Im confused
Oh, you're not using the latest TNT version after all.
Still, the same advise applies. Search the first post for "Radio 2.19.11 UK", and install it, and your error messages will go away.
If you search, you will find a newer TNT version, made in August 2008.
It also requires 2.19.11 radio ROM.
By the way, you can find newer ROMs. The TNT ROMs were very good, but the latest one is a year old, and has old versions of several applications.

DarkVisions for Wizard?

I recently swapped my TyTN for Wizard and I used DarkVisions 5.0 rom on it, it was simple, worked well, its was just great. Now, I couldn't find a same one for Wizard, but I also couldn't find a similar one. I don't want that 6.5 scrolling menu, all I want is a simple menu like this, so can someone recommend at least a similar rom to this? Here's a screenshot. Thanks in advance!

I know DarkVisions WM6.5 v5 only for htc Hermes.. ! you can try MSD-Wizard-WM6.5-23085.rar (52.13 MB) for your wizard, if you're interested you can download it at http://www.mediafire.com/?3tmtt4izann
Ok, but this is just "nk.nbf" file, I need those update tools, right?
I tried to swap this file with the same one for "CR96 Touch HD v2.9 Clean" and it installed the same ROM again.
Ok, I got that RUU MUN update thingy and copied this file you gave me with the update tool in the same folder, ran the update, everything went smoothly, done the update 100%, device restarted and it was the same damned ROM there! What the hell is going on?
*bump
Anyone has any idea what is going on? I'm fairly new to all this, all the help would be greatly appreciated.
btw. DarkVisions is before developed for Wizard. Ask utak3r about it.
pff..

[Q] LG Optimus T P509 and loading a new kernel

I purchased an unlocked LG Optimus T P509 phone off eBay. Phone works fine as it was purchased. It has the stock ROM from T-Mobile and I was interested in loading a different ROM.
I'm attempting to load the kernel found in this thread but I'm having difficulty getting into recovery mode.
I'm aware of the steps leading up to recovery mode. Install z4root to root the phone, install a terminal emulator, and run the reboot recovery command. The problem I'm having happens after I type that command and the phone reboots.
I'm supposed to get this screen here:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But instead I get this:
The screen that I'm getting stays there for about 10 seconds, then the phone reboots itself again and loads right back up completely wiped to factory default.
What gives? I'm I completely stuck and can't do jack with this phone?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Alright, so I figured it out.
This phone has a two-step process to loading a cooked ROM from this place.
I'm compelled to post a write-up of my experience since the information in this forum is all over the place for this phone. Once I'm all finished playing with the phone, I'll work on it.
I ended up installing a stock ROM without overclocking abilities since I couldn't figure out what was the best route to go. Later on I'll tinker with it.
This place, as always, is a great source of information. Thanks again.

I'm in a pickle...

Any help here would be much appreciated. I have lost mobile signal altogether . Since fist rooting and flashing roms on my galaxy s3, I've never been faced with a problem that i can't fix. there's been some hairy moments but in this case i'm truly stumped. And I hope someone here can help.
I have been switching between Stock, Havoc, Omni, PE and Evolution X since I Got my OP a couple of months ago. I thought i'd try the latest developer preview. Had it running great for a day and decided to root it when i got home from work. If memory serves, I booted twrp, flashed twrp, rebooted recovery, flashed magisk 19.4. I think i had to format data at some point because twrp wouldn't mount storage. when I booted the system, I had no mobile signal.
I've tried rebooting, taking the SIM out and in again, leaving the phone switched off for a while, Flashing stock fastboot rom, Flashing Omni. Ive tried changing the preferred network type, changing the access point names. i've tried entering *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer to enter service mode and had no luck there (see pictures)

ok, panic over. I flashed an OTA zip in twrp and i've got mobile signal back! that was tense. Why would the OTA restore Mobile signal and fastboot ROM not?
