2.1 rom with sense UI for Droid Eris Leaked!

I saw this thread at the sapphire/magic section and have not seen it here, Is there a way to port this to the 32B. This might solve the whole 3d driver and camcorder issue with this full leaked version.

One does not simply just port Sense to Dream.

working on it. boots, 'cept for some cdma issues..., which freeze the boot.

they're getting it up and running in the sapphire section, but thats on 32a.
any way to slim it down or merge it with an existing sense like King's?

Not rerally.
I'ts mostly just variations with transparency and different fonts, at least that's all I ever found.

This is gonna sound stupid but can't we just take the 32A ROM and use Relentless Roaster to convert it from 32A to 32B?

[ROM] [MT3G Fender, LE,1.2] Ported_FR-MyTouchSlidev003c

Using dsixda's rom kitchen and with some trial and error with a few other roms I ran into some luck with MyTouch Slide ROM.
For a while we've been awaiting a stable release and guess what?
Yup! You guessed it! You're still going to have to wait.
This still has all of the problem that the G1/MT3G (1st gen) has except it seems a bit snappier.
As this develops I will attempt to keep up to date with it. Until then if you want to know the progress of this port you should check (perhaps even subscribe if your feeling wild and crazy) here.

Have you checked the slide kernel to see if it matches? It should. But the slide ROMs don't have su permissions so no root

flashing rom now will try to follow up afterwards

Wow that's an awesome rom. I can't wait for all the bugs to get out of that rom.

Any recommendations for ext1-4/swap with this rom?

I personally use ext3. Not sure if ext4 will work.

I do enjoy the boot screen on this rom.

Yeah I showed it to a friend of mine that has an iPhone. Strange enough he HATES the phone and loved the bootscreen. He's saving for a Nexus now. I told him that he's a good man for it.

great setup and actually did run pretty smooth (navigating between screens, use of drawer, basic apps like market ran well). problems that ran into were around apps gmail not loading messages only shows header when trying to open reverts back to inbox with headers. happened also with some random market apps where would not run fully would revert back to previous screen. waiting for later release to correct will go back to older rom for now.

I do enjoy the boot screen on this rom.

lol i just sent Binary100100 a ReTouched version on his eris. I just did basic things like nexus boot screen, rethemed alittle, fixes messaging, removed htc footprints since it doesnt work, and i just made a new one with navigator removed and goggle maps included. Which i will be uploading shortly.

[WIP] FROYO SENSE 10/3 I need some help.

Here's what i've done, i've smashed together a cm6 kernel and a ramdisk from a 2.1 hero rom, which shouldn't make it not work.
However, some of the libs may be outdated for froyo.

Thanks for any help. Again i'll state this only half-boots, it's not usable. unless you like using your phone as a rechargable light-up paperweight when using this rom. All it shows is the boot screen.

I own a Droid Eris as well as the G1. Developer punk.kaos over in the Eris forum has ported Sense/Froyo to the Eris. I believe he got it from the HTC Wildfire. It works, but its in the 'beta' stage right now. It has resolution issues as well as camera issues. I'm sure Kaos will get these sorted out soon. Check the Wildfire forums for it.

i should have been more specific. this is based on the wildfire dump.

im going to try this NOW on my mytouch 3g (htc magic 32B) and will give feedback

EDIT this may actually work for some people, my g1 is weird sometimes. try it, it won't brick your phone, but if it bricks your phone it's not my fault.
SO I THOUGHT THAT IT MAYBE COUUUULD WORK ON MY PHONE.

Your behavior is similar to mine, although i don't know for sure if it's the same without a logcat... if you still have it flashed i'd really appreciate one.

yea it will be a little buggy. Check out screenshots from the Hero CDMA development section, you can see how rosie looks.

Got it. Uploading probably won't work for mt3g. I currently am using mtd partitions with everything moved onto /system.
I'm uploading one, however, that puts app_s on sd-ext and framework in /data, so there's no need for mtd partitions.

haha well use clockwork... i rarely sign stuff, clockwork doesn't verify if you uncheck the option in the recovery.

[DEV] Gingerbread 2.3 [DEV]

Update: Alright guys, after collaborating with others on the port it seems we have hit a wall. The nexus s doesn't use our adreno egl drivers and instead uses newer drivers. The drivers are needed and we can't call on adreno drivers without errors. Because of this, we are putting a stop currently on development as first and foremost we need the build to be usable. The inc devs seem to have hit the same road block. We need a nexus one dump or source to move forward. Until then. :tips hat:
This is a dev rom. Things are still broken. Please don't play unless you realize this. If your boot hangs, try a dalvik wipe.
Note to devs:
-homescreen still slow (using ns EGL libs right now)
-no sound, sound crashes on boot
-dont have time to test more
-no wifi
-data works (browser force close on google boot)

Good luck trying to port this... you're gonna have hell of time. The problem is that us EVO users are currently using 2.2 and the Nexus ROM's are built on 2.3; the lib files and bins will more than like fail if you try to boot.
I would wait until the 2.3 AOSP source is released to try and do a proper boot.
Porting different versions of Android especially from different manufacturers is a huge *****... believe me, I know... right Barnacles?
Edit:: I take back some of what I said... apparently it can be done, with some problems -- looking into right now with some other devs; will update later.

I hear if you delete the lockscreen.apk it will default its own. Maybe worth a shot. It did it to mine on the sensation once

Yo sacs, the guys over in the dhd section (i think, all those different desires confuse me) have a pretty functional port. What about stripping that one out, using the new egls and libs from the 2.3 update, throw in the new kernel, do the build.prop work then see if it boots. All the works been done on the rosie already I believe seeing as the guys that ported it are the ones that made the m10 editing tool. I think its worth a shot.
