Vodafone v1415 (VOX) application unlock Probs

Hi
I have been trying to application unlock a vodafone v1415 (HTC VOX) using several ways including the standard regedit method here http://wiki.spv-developers.com/HTC_Application_Unlock_Guide
But when i try to alter the reg values i get
"Error" in the title bar and then
Unable to perform this operation
Any ideas out there!!

Download this tool

Install on your PC then find the following file
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Security Configuration Manager\tool.cab
copy it to your v1415
run it from your phone
reboot your phone
then connect your phone to your PC run the Device Security Manager
it should say your device is connected
Save the config as something you will remember (in case things go wrong!!)
Then change "Selected Configuration" to security off
Then Provision your phone
Reboot the phone
and thats it

Other thing:
Put the Cert.CAB de XDA dev, and run SDA Unlocker on the PC, device synchronized.
Then you'll be able to modify registry values to be fully app unlocked.
Another try (but not necessary) is Paul from MoDaCo 's unlocker.

Actually if you choose the security off option from the device secuirty manager it allows full acesss to the registry like a full unlock.

Samsung SGH-I620 hard Reset

I have a problem,
When the phone starts its sarts loading the windows and then stak at the Sumsun Logo.
How can I do Hard Reset to it ?

I've a SGH-I620V (vodafone branded), but the procedure should be the same:
There are two ways:
1)
1 Switch off the phone, press the navigation button down and switch on.
2 It will ask the format password "1234"
2) Go in windows folder and execute adminsetting.exe or digit *#3695147*#
3) Execute "Preconfiguration", the password is *#83301*#
I've few problems with this phone, and It's difficult find out informations.. for example, does somebody know if any gps navigator works on this phone?

WM 5.0 flash,maybe can help!

So, as I see there is many newbees here without experience in ROM flashing. Some of them need just ROM in another language.
Because there is really no simple guide for all who wants to flash their prophet to get at least WM 5.0 WWE (or other language) I will write my experience (this doesnt mean I can solve al problem!!!!, cos´in flashing about 50 devices already I really had no problems-just followed instrucions from this forum).
If you have a Prophet (S200, XDA Neo etc) and want ENG WM 5.0 ROM just follow next few steps, and it should works
1. Determine do you have G3 or G4 model
2. Download and install ActiveSync 4.5
3. Download ROM (my suggestion PVTemp) and unzip somewhere on desktop
4. If your device is locked-> unlock it using lokiwiz
5. Connect device to PC ( running WIN XP suggested) and sign as a GUEST!
6. Disconnect and go to bootloader mode -pres COMM button and after that soft reset with pen, relise pen in few seconds and your screen should show RGB colors. DEVICE BATTERY MUST BE ABOVE 50%!
7. Connect your PDA on PC (it will show USB on screen, down left)
8. Go to directorx and run ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4.exe (if its G4) or ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe (if its G3)
9. Follow instrucions on PC screen
10. After some time (10min) PDA should finish and do a restart-it usualy stuck on 0% and 85%, but dont panic and wait, it sould continue!!
11. Enjoy new ROM!
That is it for now. I hope it will help, if I found out something I will edit the post, and at the end:

Activesync doesnt work, cant access File explorer what to do?

my Vox was ok with Fireburned Clean WM 6.1 ROM.
I wanted to install the 96 DPI cab taken from

I installed correctly following the instructions, and rebooted.
Now, after boot, the following things dont work.
1. File explorer - so i cant go to any folder or delete any files on \windows folder.
2. activesync connection is broken so i cant install a new ROM.
3. recently accessed app list shows blank.
4. my home screen is blank.
The only thing that works is the dialpad where i can make voice calls.
Can anyone tell me how to do a hard reset (any key combination or shortcut??).

I recommend you to uninstall 96 DPI update. To do this, flash your Vox from SD card instead of using ActvieSync connection. How to do this, check Vox Wiki.

Hard Reset Second Way:
Turn off your phone, then press both *SOFT KEYS* and *POWER ON* device. After moment release both soft keys. On the black screen asking for confirmation press *GREEN PHONE BUTTON* and wait couple minutes for phone to initialize.
If you cant make it with this [you must have good timing].. turn off your phone, hold camera button, and plug usb.

i tried trizzos method. but everytime i press camera and plug usb power, the "upload from sd card" screen would come and then just show the bootloader. i formatted twice to FAT32 but still no luck.
Then i followed akumalol's two ways,
the hard reset via soft keys + power key combo didnt work. i tried few times.
But, the second method worked!!!!!!!!!
that is
1. switch off phone
2. hold camera button and plug in usb power cable
3. phone boots to bootloader
4. now use any of the OS drop posted by our Gurus, and execute Flash.exe, it then connects to the phone via activesync and downloads the image.

Well I tought hardreset would be ur lasta alternative... the method posted by akumalol is the only one i ever used and it works but you have to put ur finger on the softkeys in less than a second after u have powered on the device..this is why some users have no luck with it...u have to be VERY VERY QUICK!

i tried 4 times with no result.. it directly booted to the current OS.
maybe i have poor reflex than you folks..

ahahah no it's a tecnique issue...put your thumbs on the softkeys and with an other free fingers power on the phone... don't tell this to anyone it's a secret tecnique

WM6.1 problem..

Hello,
I upgraded my Kaiser 130 from Wm6 to Wm6.1 forseveral times, but at the end I restored Wm6.0, because I have never been pleased about Wm6.1.
Whenever I tried WM6.1, My device got freezed, or touch screen sensitivity decreased while in use, so I had to tap screen firmly sometimes.
I had HardSPL v1.0, is this the cause forsuch freezings or other problems? Should I flash higher HardSpls? Please help in this subject..
I want to use Wm6.1. But, after flashing My rom to Wm6.1, I restore back to Wm6.0..

If you followed the noobs guide to flash to a T & then found the ROM you wanted and read the chef notes, then read fixes etc, should be fine.
Please be patient, i probably would have posted more if you was not bumping the way you are.....

I would recommend upgrading your HardSPL, like this:
a. Download the Kaiser-HardSPL-3.29.zip from here and
extract them to a folder on your computer, for example: HardSPL.
b. Now download this file and
extract it to a folder on your computer, for example: JumpSPL.
c. Open the folder you extracted it to, and copy "kaiser_JumpSPL_pof_v1.nb"
and "JumpSPL.exe" (no quotes) to your device.
d. Power down your device, take out your SIM and SD card (if one),
then power back on the device. If it opens an emergency call screen
once restarting, just click the red End key button on your device to
exit and go to the today screen.
e. Open File Explorer, then open JumpSPL.exe on your device, then enter in: "0x00000000" no quotes, and then select kaiser_JumpSPL_pof_v1.nb
f. Now, if done correctly, you should be at a Tri-color screen and
it should say "USB".
g. Now disable USB connections in Activesync/Windows Mobile Device
Center. To do this, click on settings under Activesync or Windows
Mobile Device Center (depending on if you're running Vista or XP) and
UNcheck "Allow USB connections"
h. Unplug your device, wait 5-20 seconds, then plug your device back in.
i. Remember that folder that you extracted the SPL to? Well, on your
computer, open that folder, then run KaiserCustomRUU.exe.
j. Click Next, Next, then Update. Wait for it to finish, then click Finish.
k. Congratulations! If done correctly, you should have HardSPL flashed
on your device. To confirm this, press and hold the camera button on your
device all the way while pushing the stylus into the reset hole. You should
be at a tri-clor screen (called the bootloader). The second line down should
say "SPL-versionhere.Hard" (no quotes). If it does, you're ready to flash!
If it doesn't, please re-read all instructions.

Thank you mbarvian I flashed my Hard SPL, And checked it by pushing Reset&Camera button, it is 3.29.
So can you say that this is the most important cause of the freezings or decreasings in touch screen sensitivity in WM6.1? If I flash Wm6.1 rom, do these problems appear?
