Vodafone v1415 (VOX) application unlock Probs

Hi
I have been trying to application unlock a vodafone v1415 (HTC VOX) using several ways including the standard regedit method here http://wiki.spv-developers.com/HTC_Application_Unlock_Guide
But when i try to alter the reg values i get
"Error" in the title bar and then
Unable to perform this operation
Any ideas out there!!

Download this tool
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en
Install on your PC then find the following file
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Security Configuration Manager\tool.cab
copy it to your v1415
run it from your phone
reboot your phone
then connect your phone to your PC run the Device Security Manager
it should say your device is connected
Save the config as something you will remember (in case things go wrong!!)
Then change "Selected Configuration" to security off
Then Provision your phone
Reboot the phone
and thats it

Other thing:
Put the Cert.CAB de XDA dev, and run SDA Unlocker on the PC, device synchronized.
Then you'll be able to modify registry values to be fully app unlocked.
Another try (but not necessary) is Paul from MoDaCo 's unlocker.

Actually if you choose the security off option from the device secuirty manager it allows full acesss to the registry like a full unlock.

Activesync doesnt work, cant access File explorer what to do?

my Vox was ok with Fireburned Clean WM 6.1 ROM.
I wanted to install the 96 DPI cab taken from

I installed correctly following the instructions, and rebooted.
Now, after boot, the following things dont work.
1. File explorer - so i cant go to any folder or delete any files on \windows folder.
2. activesync connection is broken so i cant install a new ROM.
3. recently accessed app list shows blank.
4. my home screen is blank.
The only thing that works is the dialpad where i can make voice calls.
Can anyone tell me how to do a hard reset (any key combination or shortcut??).

I recommend you to uninstall 96 DPI update. To do this, flash your Vox from SD card instead of using ActvieSync connection. How to do this, check Vox Wiki.

Hard Reset Second Way:
Turn off your phone, then press both *SOFT KEYS* and *POWER ON* device. After moment release both soft keys. On the black screen asking for confirmation press *GREEN PHONE BUTTON* and wait couple minutes for phone to initialize.
If you cant make it with this [you must have good timing].. turn off your phone, hold camera button, and plug usb.
the u can run a rom update utility.

i tried trizzos method. but everytime i press camera and plug usb power, the "upload from sd card" screen would come and then just show the bootloader. i formatted twice to FAT32 but still no luck.
Then i followed akumalol's two ways,
the hard reset via soft keys + power key combo didnt work. i tried few times.
But, the second method worked!!!!!!!!!
that is
1. switch off phone
2. hold camera button and plug in usb power cable
3. phone boots to bootloader
4. now use any of the OS drop posted by our Gurus, and execute Flash.exe, it then connects to the phone via activesync and downloads the image.
Thanks very much guys. i will take note of this method as this is my first bricking the phone although the phone came up but no activesync no file explorer.....

Well I tought hardreset would be ur lasta alternative... the method posted by akumalol is the only one i ever used and it works but you have to put ur finger on the softkeys in less than a second after u have powered on the device..this is why some users have no luck with it...u have to be VERY VERY QUICK!

i tried 4 times with no result.. it directly booted to the current OS.
maybe i have poor reflex than you folks..

ahahah no it's a tecnique issue...put your thumbs on the softkeys and with an other free fingers power on the phone... don't tell this to anyone it's a secret tecnique

TO UNLOCK LATEST VERSION OF SPV
HERE IS A SIMPLE GUIDE
FIRST HARD RESET SPV PHONE
TO DO THIS(SWITCH OFF PHONE>HOLD BOTH SOFT KEYS SITUATED UNDER NEITH LCD. AND THAN KEEP PRESSING THEM PRESS POWER BUTTON FOR 2 SECONDS.IT WILL SHOW ON SCREEN PRESS "0" TO COMPLETE NOW RELEASE KEYS AND PRESS "0"
IT WILL HARD RESET AND PHONE WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO COME ON AND MAY BE IT WILL ASK AGAIN TO RESTART SO DO SO.
AFTER HARD RESET
1. INSTALL ACTIVE SYNC VERSION 4.5.0 WORKS FOR ME
2. CONNECT PHONE TO COMPUTER WITH A V3 CABLE.
IF SOFTWARE ASKS CONNECT AS GUEST.
3. COPY FILE ATTACHED WITH THIS POST SP_AllowCertificate
IN UR PHONE WITH ACTIVE SYNC
JUST SAY IN MY DOCUMENTS>MY MUSIC
4. GO IN PHONE FILE MANAGER MY DOCUMENTS>MY MUSIC AND FROM THERE RUN SP_AllowCertificate
IT WILL INSTALL IT. JUST FOLLOW ON SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS.
5. NOW SECOND FILE. EXTRACT ON DESKTOP OF UR PC/LAPTOP
WHICH IS SDA_ApplicationUnlock
6. NOW RUN IT FROM PC/LAPTOP
IT WILL ASK U TO CLICK ON UNLOCK.
DO SO
7. NOW EXTRACT
SPV-Services
AND RUN SPV SERVICES
MAKE SURE KEEP PHONE CONNECTED WITH PC SYNC DURING ALL PROCEDURE AND KEEP INTERNET CONNECTED.
8. IN SPV SERVICES
CLICK SIM TOOLS
THAN IT WILL ASK TO TYPE "AGREE"
AND THAN UNLOCK IN NEXT SCREEN.

[Q] c6625 hard reset

hi
i have one samsung c6625 . asking for password, is not simlock passowrd, is security/phone code password.
i tried to hard reset the phone, using volume up + up joystick + power on
it shows me
1. format and reboot
2. exit
if i press 1 , it asks me for password , but is not 0000..user changed that password somehow..and forgot it.
i am not able to use any exe/installer i found on forums..because phone must be coencted to active sync, but i can't connect to sync..because it asks for password.
any ideeas how to get rid of this code?
