Hi all
I'm just in the middle of a talk with a supplier to get a HTC Touch pro into my hands and i was looking for a bit of advice from some of the early adopters
the hermes was found to develop a few common issues with the first few batches, does this seem to be the case with the raphael too?
also,
If i was to purchase the touch pro today, could i go and swap the back cover of the touch pro with that of the vario 4? (i.e. the 'smooth' cover) i dont really like the whole multi faceted business going on
many thanks
I know the flat back from the O2 variant does not fit on an unbranded device..
Besides - the Vario IV is a different shape from the unbranded no?
I'm hoping someone can help, I've been without my touch pro for about a month now after I sat on it whilst drunk and smashed the LCD!!!
I've been trying to find someone who sells replacement LCD's and not been able to find anyone. Does anyone know where I can get one?
I have managed to find a Diamond one quite cheaply on ebay, but does anyone know if it compatible with the touch pro? I've looked at my friends diamond and from the outside looks the same. It also has the same dimensions and specs.
I hope someone will be able to help, I'm having to use a crap SE T280i which can't even go on the net!!

It might be possible to get it warranty repaired by HTC, or at least repaired by them (you may have to pay for it if the warranty doesn't cover it).
What country are you in, as that will make a difference to shipping and availability.
Hello,
I have a similar query too. Do diamond lcd ( Not digitizer ) fit to at&t fuze?
Just because, diamond lcd screen are cheaper then fuze.
As far as product image, both looks same but need someone to confirm if it works for fuze also. Please help to save few $$$.
Thanks...
Best Regards
yees, mine too... did a bad thing to the screen so it has 3 blue spots due to extreeme presure to the screen.
found lot of stuff in eBay but I don't recommend it because I once ordered a battery replacement (made in HongKong) for my TouchPro and it wont perfectly fit. So it kind of shocks me to shop in eBay...
mine is Asian Touch Pro (T7272)

I brought at&t digitizer from hongkong and its perfect. I don't think all the items from hongkong are bad. And most of things I brought from hongkong ( ebay ) were perfect, especially car products.
unfortunately I broked lcd, digitizer and flex cable while I was installing new digitizer. So now I have to buy new flex cable and lcd ( without digitizer ) which costs nearly 70$.
Already brought flex cable but suck on buying lcd. Just waiting to confirm.
Edit; Just now got reply from a diamond lcd screen seller. He said, we have asked the manufacture, and they told us it can not be used. So this should be clear but I already brought fuze lcd screen too as I don't wanna suck.
Best Regards
Hi there,
Does anyone happen to know where I can get spares for the phone above.
I had an unfortunate incident a while back whereby an ebay buyer tried to repair this item and severed the ribbon cable between the side up and down buttons and the camera board (front facing one) and as such, need to get hold of this part.
If anyone knows where they can point me in terms of obtaining this(or any other spares for this model) I'd be very grateful. Failing that, does anyone happen to have a spare touch diamond/compact iv that is broke and not being used or they plan to dispose of?
Longshot I know - but if you don't ask - you don't get lol
Long story short, dropped and damaged my HTC TP2. It still functions, but reception is noticeably weaker and I get signal lost notices frequently. I have a replacement insurance with Asurion, but when I called to file a claim, they said that the TP2 is no longer available and the replacement phone would be an HTC Imagio. what?!
I told them heck no. They said to call back if I change my mind. I need a slide-out qwerty keyboard, and I LOVE my TP2.
You guys have any ideas or suggestions here?
Tell them to replace it with a moto droid as it has qwerty, then sell then new droid on ebay and buy a TP2 with the cash.
How badly damaged is it? can you pm me some pics or pm me to get my email. i might be able to help you .. PM only
The antenna lead on the TP2 snaps into place. When the phone dropped it may have snapped out of place. Removing the top two screws allows you to pry out the antenna ans check if the lead is properly snapped in place.
Is the physical damage bad? Because if not then verizon should replace it free.
Hey I'm a Tech at sprint, send me a picture and lemme see whats broken. I may have a extra part for you (if you wanna cover the shipping) depending on whats broken.
Since the marketplace is closed, where is anyone finding replacement parts (aside from ripoffbay)? The digitizer in my mom's phone died, no response at all, and the stupid ass design of the phone won't even let you answer a incoming call without moving the ring. To make it worse, while I opened it to check for damage on the inside, I broke the front center button ribbon, and the right hand side front button pcb. The whole setup of supergluing every single part of the lcd is insane ARG.
So I need pretty much the entire upper lcd assembly, and with the market gone, does anyone know where to find one? Or just MT4GS parts in general?
I just tore one down, the LCD and digitizer in it was toast and so was the main part of the board but I should have the cable your talking about at home, I'll post a pic when I get home

eBay isn't as bad as people make it out to be...
In fact it's the sellers that are at more of a disadvantage than the buyer. Paypal will almost always side with the buyer, even if they're telling blatant lies. Sold a fully working item to the buyer, and the buyer claimed it did not work. Paypal forced me to give him a refund and accept a return no matter what I said. And when I got the item back, "surprise, surprise" item worked fine.
As long as you do your homework and ask the appropriate questions before buying, you should be fine. Try some parts ebay lots. They have some great deals

I've had a fair bit of success on eBay with parts for a number of phones. I've replaced a whole frame for a MT3GS, a full back with buttons and battery for a iPhone 3G, a MT4GS speaker, and several digiziters for iPhones (3G / 3GS), MT3GS, MT4G and MT4GS.
I try to use US based shippers for quicker shipping times and better odds on communicating if there is an issue.
No, I know that, i've sold on ebay as well, its A) this phone is frustrating as hell, and B- the thing with private sellers, you get a bit better experience with as-is phones for parts, for a decent price. Like if someone on here had said, oh, I bricked the phone, no physical damage, I can expect to get a working lcd/digitizer/camera/etc. On ebay, it's a gamble on as-is and I've been burnt before on it.
Good part atleast, I found a old razor v3 that i had planned on unlocking almost 2 years ago, charged it and got the unlocking done in a few minutes. A working phone for now, makes replacement or parts a little less urgent.

Well I totally understand that sentiment. I've been there as well. The MT3GS I have was an eBay pick that was advertised as a 4G Slide. It was my first HTC phone so I didn't notice the picture didn't match. The price was a STEAL for a 4G Slide but only decent for a 3G Slide. I ended up giving the seller a neutral feedback. Since then I've been a bit anal about calling sellers out when they list a 3G Slide or 4G as a 4G Slide. Most have fixed the listings.
Having said that, I've been on the other side of the coin too. I picked up a 4G for my daughter that supposedly was soft bricked with a bad digitizer and volume buttons. I found that the button issue was just a matter of cleaning everything. From there I was able to reflash the latest stock ROM and the phone was good.
I normally just search google with specific part names that I need. Yes a lot take you to ebay, but that's normally ok, good prices!
I don't really like ebay - been burnt a lot through there. Pretty much only use it for carebears for my lady. Great place for that.
No one suggested checking craigslist for local deals?
If I don't get it through the forums here - that's where i've bought my other phones from and it's worked out well.
I bought my spare parts here
