What's the best way to make a backup of all contacts and their pictures?
I've heard Microsoft Outlook does this. But i don't have it, where can I get it?
Is there any easier way of keeping them? I just wanna do the "Clear Storage" and reset my device to factory settings.
PIM Backup
I uses PIM Backup to backup my contacts and messages.

Hi everybody.
I've 2 TyTNs.
The first has xda-live 0.2
The second has the standard italian rom.
After flashing the first I've lost all my messages (I was trying to restore a backup made with SPB Backup) but it didn't work at all.
Before flashing the second I'd like to backup (on WM5) and restore (on WM6) all data.
For Contacts I use NS Contact Backup (I prefer it to outlook)
For SMS I use SMS Backup but it works for SMS only.
For Outlook Emails I use Activesync.
What can I use to backup MMS on WM5 and restore them on WM6?
(I already tried SMS organizer but it hangs. )
Thanks anyone.

tnx rudegar but I already tried that.
My problem is that I'm trying to backup on WM5 and restore on WM6.
Standard backup programs don't work (even "Sprite Backup" fails restoring MMS both in normal and in "device upgrade" mode)
(the restore goes ok but the "MMS" account disappears)
Maybe there's something to change in the registry?
Any hints on how to fix this?
How do I make the "MMS" account appear again?
As the title says, do I need to backup my contacts before I do this? If so how? Activesync never seems to do it correctly.
Thanks,
Nick.
Flashing will perform a Hard Reset, so stored PIM (Contacts, Calendar Items, Todos, SMS/MMS, etc) will be cleared.
Backup using ActiveSync (with Outlook) is fine.
When I try to backup with Activesync it does everything but contacts, you mentioned Outlook, do I need this to backup contacts?
Thanks.
if you have an SD card, just use PIM Backup and have it store the backup data to the SD card. Anything on the SD won't be touched from a hard-reset.

when you use activesync you'll have to go through it's program options and checkoff on contacts to be synced. i think it usually has the options of contacts, calendar, notes, favorites, etc...just search around (unfortunately I'm on vista, so activesync doesn't work for me, but same deal in windows mobile device center)
I flashed one of the cooked roms to my device. It already had Arcsoft 3.0.26.11c installed.
I used Spb Backup to restore my SMS and it deletes the Pics/Video account from the messaging screen.
The settings are still intact, but the account is gone. Is there a way to manually restore this?
What title said...
My girlfriend wants to keep her sms messages.
Where does WM5 storage them?
Does nobody knows this?
Messages are kept in WM6 (and I think WM5) in a file called cemail.vol. Contacts, addresses and calendar are in pim.vol. Normally these are read/copy/write protected by the system, so you won't be able to copy and paste them. Use something like PIM Backup by FdcSoft to backup and restore emails and other info.
I have just hard reset my device and restore the personal data (email and contacts) back.
On my TF3D, it shows that the account that I set up previously is there (2 mail icon on the right hand side), but when i tap on it to read, the account setting is not there anymore. I tried to send/received , check inbox, new mail from the TF3D interface and I am brought back to the messaging main page with no email account configuration.
Anyone have similar problem or advice? any idea on how can i delete it from my TF3D interface?
I have got similar problem as you, have you already find something to fix this? it's really annoying.
Email Accounts not accessible after Sprite Backup & Restore
I used Sprite Backup to backup the phone before I installed the update to the new ROM (5.11.502.2 WWE). When I used Sprite Backup to restore everything, my email accounts show up with unread messages, but when I select them, it automatically goes to my text messaging, as that is the only messaging account active. I tried to create a new account, named "AOL" (which was the name previously) and it told me that name is already in use and that I have to create a new one. It doesn't show up on my list of accounts, so I can't delete it. If I create a new account with a different name (but the same email address) I can access my email, but the old messages remain listed on my today screen. Any suggestions on what to do to get rid of the old accounts and notifications? When I go to Messaging > Menu > Tools > Options, the only accounts listed are Messages, Outlook E-mail, and New Account. Thanks.
PIM restore + manila = Hosed manila
Use Microsoft My Phone to backup and restore your PIM data.
