Hi,
I've modified the ROM on my Kaiser by using the tools here. I now need to send it back to HTC as it's holding charge for about 1 hour. They've told me that if I've modified the ROM they will charge me for the repair even though it's obviously the battery and not the ROM that's faulty. According to their support guys, if the "STL is modified" it will be chargeable.
Basically, my question is, how do I reset the STL back to the factory setting? Can I do this with a factory reset?
Sorry for the dump question ... what you mean with STL??
Maybe they said SPL and not STL?

I posted a thread a couple of weeks ago and got some good advice however I failed to get a solution to my problem.
3 weeks ago I unlocked the bootloader on my HTC one x and flashed clockwork recovery. I then attempted to Install a .zip file through clockwork recovery, something went wrong and I now couldnt get past the HTC screen when I booted my phone. So I restarted it and after a few hours of trying to find a solution I thought I would just wipe the SD card, not knowing that this would royaly **** up my phone I went ahead and wiped it. I then posted this thread
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25571852#post25571852)
and I took the advice of post someone made, this is it.
Download a rom update utility (ruu) from
Forum. Flash stock recovery (you can find in modacos thread. ) Relock bootloader using fastboot oem lock. Start ruu and follow the directions. You can unlock bootloader again later.
I done all this up to the RUU, I flashed stock, I relocked but whenever I start the RUU I get the message "the ROM update Utility cannot update your android phone please get the correct ROM Update utility and try again". I have tried the following RUU's.
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.26.401.2_Radio_ 1.1204.90.13_release_251208_signed
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_Vodafone_UK_1.26.161.2_Radio _1.1204.90.13_release_251227_signed
and
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_ARA_1.28.415.9_Radio_1.1 204.103.14_release_25679_signed
Im not sure if this matters but im on Vodafone UK.
I Sent the Phone back to HTC and they came back with a quote of £196 which I was not willing to pay so I told them to send it back. I should be getting the phone back sometime this week. I really need to fix it myself as I cant afford nearly 200 quid.
Any ideas would be so helpful, I hate not having a phone.
Have you tried out if its possible to only use the Rom.ZIP File it is some where in a temp on your hardrive.

Sorry to put this here but first post after joining, and I can't post in the required section.
I have been trying to resurrect my bricked HTC Pico. I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048312 and found the rom to be very good and fast but one issue so if someone can let the developer know, After following all the instructions and installing the rom I can't do anything else due to it saying there is no more space even though I have set up the extra partition as ext3 before installing the rom.
Is that you IHATEHIPSTERSSS?
Anyways check out this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500165
I'd factory restore the phone and start the process over. As long as the computer sees the phone when it connects.you're not bricked.
Sorry, don't know who you are talking about and I tried the RUU but get a certificate failure. As I said, I tried everything suggested, even a full factory reset.
Oh and I have already done the suggested with extracting the files from the RUU
OK I talked to another guy on a tech site last night who is new to the pico and flashing ROMs.
Its been years since I delt with an HTC device. Google around using 'certificate failure' in the keywords. Hopefully somebody had a similar problem and figured it out.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Thanks, it seems that because the phone was originally a T-Mobile phone, there are no RUU's that will go onto the phone because it won't accept a generic RUU. It would need to be a T-Mob RUU for the Pico, I have scoured the net but nothing so i'll just keep trying to sort the memory issue somehow.
Hi All,
I dont know what I have done to my phone. I have erased all the chache of my phone once. Later the phone is not getting on.
It is showing HTC logo (@Startup) and not moving further.
Please help me what I have to do it now.:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
You need to provide more information. What are your bootloader details? What exactly did you do before the problem started happening? Just erasing the cache will not cause this problem, so you need to tell us exactly what happened.

Did you just wipe caches, or did you wipe other things like factory reset or system?
As mentioned above, we need much more info in order to help.
What ROM were you on?
S-on or S-off?
What version/carrier of the One X?
What hboot version?
What exactly did you wipe, and how (in bootloader, recovery, or other).
What recovery?
I am literally new to HTC one X and did some tweaks to it.
1. I have some Gapps zip file and updated it where it resulted in apps update and missed my Keyboard.
2. Later I went to bootloader and clicked Factory Reset. Phone got ON and showed the Logo Screen and did not moved from there.
3. So I went to recovery and wiped off all types of cache (Cache, Dalvik etc..)
4. Same problem.
What ROM were you on? - No Idea.
S-on or S-off? - No Idea and I dont even have idea on this.
What version/carrier of the One X? - GSM mobile.
What hboot version? - 1.12.0000
What _exactly_ did you wipe. - All types of cache.
Look at this link for more details of my mobile -

Also this link from other forum - http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-x/315099-new-htc-one-x.html (I apologize)
Ok the fact that you have hboot 1.12 is a dead giveaway. You're posting in the wrong forum. You have the Endeavor (HTC One X), this is the Evita (HTC One XL/at&t One X) forum. You'll need to go to your own device forum and post there.
Before you do go though, a quick word of advice. You have no idea what ROM you were on, you have no idea whether you're s-on or s-off, you're wiping all kinds of stuff without really thinking about it. You performed a factory reset from bootloader which has erased your data (and if your phone is anything like ours it's also corrupted your sd card, I don't know if that happens on your model though). There seems to be a theme here, you're messing around with your phone and you have no idea what you're doing. You really need to do some reading and educate yourself before trying anything else on your phone because you're heading towards causing a brick. Modifying your phone shouldn't be taken lightly, there are serious consequences if you don't know what you're doing and mess up. Please, stop for a minute and do some research.

Thanks for the information seniors.
Will you please help me how to move to Endevour forum?
Also tell me what I need to do so that I can regain my phone please....
You can either create another post in the correct forum, or you can report your first post in this thread and ask for it to be moved to the right place.
We can't help you here, we don't have the same phone so we don't have the right knowledge to be able to help you. That's why you need to move your question to the correct forum, so people with the same device can help you out.

I know its already been determined that you are in the wrong device forum.
But the above is the absolute WRONG way to answer my question. I already specifically asked if you wiped cache, Dalvik, or other things as well (system, factory reset, etc.). You just said almost the exact same thing "wiped all caches" as you did in the first post, so you aren't answering the question at all.
Saying things like "I tried them all" or "everything" are meaningless here. You need to list each and every item of what you did or did not do.
Be specific if you want folks on XDA to help.
And the fact you answered "no idea" to some of my other questions is very worrisome. When modding a phone, you should know exactly what you have done, and what you are doing. Otherwise, it means you haven't researched enough, and are being careless about what you are doing. A recipe for disaster.

We can't. You have a completely different device from us (despite the similar name and external appearance). We don't have the knowledge to help you. And any advice we give can damage your device.
